More Information About Kingdom Hearts III Has Been Revealed
by Kenton Winkfield [ Wednesday, 19th of June 2013 - 10:08 PM ]
Recently a Japanese video game news magazine called Famitsu had a conversation with Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, in an attempt to get some more information about the game. Thankfully we were able to get a translation of the information. Nomura has confirmed that the game will pick up where Dream Drop Distance left off and will be the final game in the "Dark Seeker" saga that was started in the first Kingdom Hearts game. The team is currently deciding which worlds will be used in the game. I personally hope we get a Star Wars world. Read More...

E3 2013 Impression: Murdered: Soul Suspect
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of June 2013 - 08:16 PM ]
If there was one title I was overly excited to check out at E3 this year it was Murdered: Soul Suspect. Just the basic announcement by its self gave quite a few reasons why it could be an amazing new IP, but I got to actually sit down and check out a bit more of the game than has been shown. Here's a bit of what I am sure we will all be able to see here in the not too distant future. As has been mentioned in the announcement, we get to play as Ronan O'Connor who used to be an investigator in Salem, Massachusetts with a shady past. In what seems like an attempt to not force an exact belief structure, Ronan gets dropped in The Dusk (Ghost realm) that is a bridge between the land of the living and whatever is the "next. It's been ten years since we first met Sora in Kingdom Hearts and watched him team up with Donald and Goofy on a quest to find King Mickey and ultimately save the various worlds in the Disney universe from the clutches of the Heartless. Through the next nine games to be released we have watched Sora and company grow up while facing new foes and making new friends along the way. As well as learning of the history of the Kingdom Hearts universe and everyone in it. On June 10th, 2013, during Sony's E3 Press Conference, a teaser for Kingdom Hearts III was shown with the words "In Development" displaying after it ended. Read More...

Yet Another Live Action/CGI Trailer... This Time For Thief
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of June 2013 - 04:59 PM ]
Here we go. A new trailer for Thief. Let's see what Square Enix and Eidos have up their sleeves for us in the new game. Hopefully it is some amazing game play or an awesome CGI story type affair to let us know where Thief is going to take us this go around. It's been almost a decade since we had a good solid Thief game so please don't let us down. Wait… it's a live action trailer with a voice over? Maybe 2 seconds of game play unless that was some fancy CGI. Read More...

It's Not Versus XIII, But We Have A New Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of June 2013 - 10:32 PM ]
It looks like they were not kidding when Square Enix wanted to have the Final Fantasy XIII world run for years. We'll be moving into about 5 now with the release of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and the hopes of Final Fantasy Versus XIII still looming around. There are again rumors that we will get some news on that at E3, but as I just said that is just rumor. That is also not what we are doing here right now either. Below we have a nice, what looks to be like, in-game E3 trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Read More...

Murdered: Soul Suspect Officially Announced And It Looks Spectacular
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of June 2013 - 08:53 PM ]
Way back in February we got a nice little teaser for Murdered: Soul Suspect. It left quite a bit to the imagination and then we heard bupkis. That is until now with the following trailer and tease for what will be shown next week at E3. I have to say it wasn't what my imagination went with but it looks downright awesome, even if it is mostly a pre-rendered trailer. Take a look and I'll fill you in on a few other details about the game that have been released so far. Amazing right? Read More...

Square Enix Keeps Final Fantasy XI Alive
by [ Saturday, 29th of December 2012 - 12:00 AM ]
To those of who still stick with Square Enix's MMO Final Fantasy XI, good news and new content is coming your way. Square is releasing Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin for PC and Xbox 360. From the press release: "The expansion will unfold a new adventure for players as the eighth century came to a close. The Royal Family, in partnership with the Eleven Knightly Orders, has agreed to abolish imperial rule — from which arose the Sacred City of Adoulin on the Ulbuka Continent. In the blink of an eye, Adoulin had grown to be a maritime metropolis, with a mercantile prowess rivaling that of Jeuno. Read More...

Watch How Agent 47 Walked Through The Hitman: Absolution Demo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of July 2012 - 08:17 PM ]
You have to love modern tech today and social media. While we have special events that showcase video games and have 'behind doors' demos, it is only a matter of time now before all of the masses get to see what we do at events like E3. Just like Metro earlier in the week, we have a view at what I got to see for Hitman: Absolution at E3. Just in case you didn't like reading everything I had to say. Just in case you don't want to go back and read everything from before, this demo shows the Streets Of Hope and some of the new unique game play for the new Hitman. Read More...

E3 2012 Impressions: Hitman: Absolution
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of June 2012 - 07:57 PM ]
Talk about a title I wish I would have had a chance to get some real hands on with at E3. Hitman: Absolution ranks right up there with Tomb Raider in level of excitement for Square Enix titles coming out. While it was on the show floor, there was not enough time in the day to play it but I did get to sit through a pretty cool demo that was geared towards showing some of the cool stuff we will get to have Agent 47 do. First and foremost I have to mention the visuals of the game. As to be expected given the six year gap between Blood Money and Absolution they have gone leaps and bounds over what we've seen in any of the previous games. Read More...

E3 2012 Impressions: Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of June 2012 - 01:51 AM ]
Here we go for round two of the major showing of the Tomb Raider reboot and still nothing playable at E3 2012. While there was nothing playable on the show floor, there was a nice little demonstration behind the scenes that was all game play. The only caveat was that we were only allowed to sit and watch. Even with that being the case, I do have to say I was blown away with what I saw even though some of the game play mechanics seemed a bit off in terms of making sense in the world. If you've seen the cross roads trailer (see below) then you also got to see a bit of what we press did backstage. Read More...

Hitman: Absolution Has A Weird Twist On Ruler Wielding Nuns
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of May 2012 - 11:08 PM ]
We've all seen the stereotype of Nuns with rulers to rap on your knuckles when you do something wrong. Hells, some of you probably lived through something like that in your youth. But have you ever wondered what they have to break out for those kids who are too bad ass for that to work, like say, Agent 47? Well we get that answer below in the new Hitman: Absolution trailer that you can see below. I am sure that this has some form of story importance, be it for the new title or older IPs. Read More...

How Will You Murder Humans In Hitman: Absolution?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of May 2012 - 11:23 PM ]
Kind of an odd question to be asked huh but it is pretty much the question posed to you in the most recent trailer for Hitman: Absolution that showcases the star of the franchise, Agent 47. Outside of that it also shows off a bit of game play as well as the different ways you can control the original assassin through the game. It is also full of a lot of blood and violence so send the youngin's out of the room before watching it. If you are waiting to actually watch the clip and still reading, let me break it down a bit. Square Enix Taking Pot Shots At Ubisoft With Agent 47
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of December 2011 - 05:44 PM ]
If you've visited this site for a while now, you most likely know that I am one who enjoys taking shots and low blows at people, designers, companies, babies, kittens, artists and pretty much anything that can understand the words that come out of my mouth. Sometimes even when they don't. I am also a fan of when someone slyly places a comment in a trailer that is seen by a large population of people who follow these things. I'm talking about us gamers and stuff shown on Spike's "award" show. If you look below, you will see a new trailer for Hitman: Absolution. Read More...
