Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Things are starting to slow down and we can start to kick back and enjoy some of those video games we have out there. It is that time of year, and even though the awards of last week gave us some stuff to look at for The Callisto Protocol and a new Mass Effect, I have feeling things will be slowing down a lot more until the new year starts. It is how things have gone for a while here and I am sure it will carry on. Callisto Protocol A new version of The Callisto Protocol announcement is here to show how graphic The Callisto Protocol might be going Earlier in the week, we had the announcement for The Callisto Protocol and a fun new cinematic trailer out there. It is a new horror title coming out from Striking Distance Studios and Krafton for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022. That means we did not have much to go on for The Callisto Protocol as of yet with it being so early in development. Callisto Protocol A new horror game, The Callisto Protocol, is on its way with some major players behind the scenes for The Callisto Protocol It is going to be a bit of a wait, but we have a new horror coming at us with The Callisto Protocol. The wait being that the current timeline points it to a 2022 release with it poised to hit the PC and consoles at the time. All of which is time I am fine seeing Striking Distance Studios to take so we have some solid next-gen horror coming at us all. Something that is even more exciting when you also learn that some of the devs working on The Callisto Protocol are the same that made the Dead Space franchise so over-the-top with the fear. Oddworld The release window for Oddworld: Soulstorm has shifted a bit but we have a new trailer to check out for Oddworld: Soulstorm I am sorry to say it, but we need to dash any hope of getting Oddworld: Soulstorm earlier than expected. The release window has been pushed out until Spring of 2021 for the PS4, PS5, and PC for the same reason many games are getting shifted along the pipeline. The Rona strikes again and has forced Oddworld Inhabitants to keep the work going as things have slown down due to developer safety. I will wait a bit longer for Oddworld: Soulstorm if it becomes a better game and the devs can live on to keep the IP going on further into the future. Read More...

Underworld Dreams A new horror title, Underworld Dreams, is announced and it looks like Underworld Dreams looks to offer up more in the Lovecraft mythos It sure does seem like there is a popularity recently when it comes to the Lovecraft mythologies and here we go with another video game announced in that vein with Underworld Dreams. This would be a new indie title from Drop Of Pixel that is in the works and has Skystone Games at the helm to publish it all for the PC and consoles next year. Oddworld Oddworld: Soulstorm is out here again with new gameplay and a showing of how this Oddworld title is coming to the PS5 It looks like Oddworld: Soulstorm is now hitting up the PS5 on top of the PS4 and PC when it finally launches for us. This might give us a better idea of when this is going to happen but Oddworld Inhabitants have been holding off on all of that for now and just offering up the platforms. Oh, and also a new look at Oddworld: Soulstorm and just about what it is going to bring us in terms of gameplay. It is weird to say that as the initial release date for it was set by Wired Productions for May 2nd but a three day wait is not as bad as some of those others out there. Yes, that would be about a year out from where we are now and that means more waiting but also more time for Modern Storyteller to put things together perfectly for this title.
