Far Cry 4 Has Been Announced And Slated For Release This Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 4 is coming and coming as soon as November this year. So we've had The Division delayed but now we have the announcement of Far Cry 4 to pick up the slack this year. Maybe this is what was meant by not wanting to compromise quality for The Division? None the less though it looks like Far Cry fans will have the next installment of the franchise to look forward to on November 18th 2014 on their PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or PC. If Ubisoft had their way there would be an 'and' instead of the 'or' as you would be picking up Far Cry 4 on multiple platforms. Outside of the announcement there is very little else beside the following piece of art and the location that Far Cry 4 will be taking place in. Read More...

Viscera Cleanup Detail Finally Lets Us Play The Most Thankless Job
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Viscera Cleanup Detail is now up on Steam. Time to clean up those messes made by the hero… I swear sometimes you little devs never cease to amaze me and Viscera Cleanup Detail is another to add to the pile. According to the Steam website Viscera Cleanup Detail is available to purchase for $7.99 right now. It has been in alpha and beta for some time from what I have found out after hearing about the game; something I am still a bit shocked on. Wait, you haven't heard about Viscera Cleanup Detail yet? by Kenton Winkfield [ Friday, 31st of January 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We sit down and review Stick It To The Man!. Does it really do what the title implies though? Who hasn't wished they had to ability to read people's minds, or moves things with their minds, or rip someone's teeth out of their mouth and put them into someone else's mouth? Ok, maybe no one imagined doing the last part, but now you won't have to. All this and so much more is now possible in Stick It To The Man! Read minds, grab thumbtacks all over the world to access higher platforms, pick up various objects and ideas to solve various puzzles. Read More...

Take A Look At The New PlayStation Store Coming Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of October 2012 - 10:08 PM ]
If all is still to be believed, all of us PS3 owners will be getting a shiny, new store front this coming Tuesday. Something I have been hoping to come for quite some time now as I have missed a load of new content when it loads. But after seeing the below, I am not too sure that this is what I've been hoping for. Take a look at the following tour and I'll continue my thought flow. Doesn't it really look like it is set up more to sell ad space than anything? Read More...

The State of Gaming: Publishers
by Fred Buell [ Wednesday, 30th of May 2012 - 10:18 PM ]
You all may have noticed lately the onslaught of things like Online Passes, On-Disc DLC, and DLC that have been announced and made before release. Many of you may be under the impression the publisher/developers are just being greedy and trying to squeeze out every penny from you. What you don’t know is the inner-workings behind the scenes. The publishers are losing money this gen due to higher cost of development, and lower economies. They also have long standing arrangements with stores like GameStop where if a game flops they will buy back the product at full price or eat the cost and make zero money back if the store decides to price cut it down to move inventory. Here's A Bit Of The Story Of The Last Of Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of February 2012 - 10:22 PM ]
So when The Last Of Us was first announced I had my reservations on the game. After hearing a bit more on the story of the game, characters and world they are still there. Albeit this all stems from the little tid-bits that were recently explained to Game Informer. You can see the dev interview below to get caught up to where I am in knowledge of the game. So plain and simple sounds more like a ridiculous "escort mission" style of story. While Joel does seem to have an interesting background, the overall theme here is keep Ellie alive and to some unknown location. Read More...

Great Games Under $30
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 7th of November 2011 - 05:16 PM ]
Are you bored? Tired of playing that new game you just got because it didn't live up to its hype? Got some extra cash? Well then, you're in luck. I've made a list of some really good games under $30. First up we got Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock. The final Guitar Hero went out with a bang, featuring one of the best heavy metal and rock set lists I've ever seen as well as some really cool power ups. Warriors Of Rock has the first story line in a Guitar Hero game. While it's certainly not the best it is still very enjoyable; especially the final battle against The Beast. Read More...

by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 10th of August 2011 - 05:17 PM ]
Mobile gaming has come a long way in terms of game design and depth. One of the leading developers in this area is Kairosoft. Their first big hit, Game Dev Story, turned a lot of heads, gaining critical acclaim for their simulation of running a video game development studio. Their latest release on the Android platform is Grand Prix Story – a simulation of running an automobile racing team. Start your smart phones! You start out by choosing your racing team’s name. Batman Takes On FPS In Gotham City Impostors
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of May 2011 - 05:27 PM ]
Here is where that pesky Batman: Arkham City multiplayer rumor got its foundation, well at least that is what I speculate. It looks like just before we get the new Arkham game we are getting Gotham City Imposters. Sounds like a weird Batman tribute white rapper band, but it is a new FPS from Monolith Productions and Warner Bros. Interactive. Wait a second. Read More...

So What Is Up With The Story Of F.3.A.R.
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of April 2011 - 06:04 PM ]
It has been a bit since we've had some good and solid updates for F.3.A.R. I guess it is time to get another look and a story trailer. Thank you Warner Bros. and Day 1 Studios for giving us just that. STORY TIME! Looks like someone has some serious "mommy issues." Not to mention that they look to have lead to some even deeper and twisted results besides becoming a man-whore. That's what happens isn't it? Like the opposite of a girl having "daddy issues? Bulletstorm Vs. Fox News
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of February 2011 - 06:33 PM ]
By Matt Waitt Over the past couple weeks Fox News has blasted Bulletstorm as being "the worst video game in the world" as well as their typical fear mongering, fact-less accusations and other assorted nonsense that they tend to discharge out of their empty skulls. A blog on Foxnews.com kicks some dirt on Epic Games and People Can Fly with some fact absent claims such as "sexual situations and acts in video games – highlighted so well in Bulletstorm – have led to real-world sexual violence." For a friendly reminder this statement is a joke. According the federal crime statistics the rate of juvenile violent crimes in the United States has been steadily DECREASING over the past five or six years. Read More...

Bulletstorm To Blow Out Your Ass
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 16th of January 2011 - 05:53 PM ]
If there is one person in the industry that I think is a little full of himself it is Cliff Bleszinski. He has been a huge influence and factor in some of the largest FPS titles out there. I get that. I respect him for that for the most part as well. I just wish he'd get over himself and the online "fame" he claims to have or that those fan boy/girls give him. Just because he is vocal doesn't make the man any more important. But now I am off the topic of why I even brought up "Cliffy B. Read More...
