Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Is What Quantic Dream Was Teasing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is being released for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android as well as looks like the big tease that Quantic Dream and Aspyr had for us Remember last week when we brought up the tease that Quantic Dream had for us for this week? Well it turns out my second thought on what was being teased was pretty much spot on as we have Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered coming out tomorrow (1/29/15) for PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS with an Android version to follow sometime soon. So I guess it is much less a tease than it is an announcement with extremely little lead in time for anyone out there to clear out their backlog a bit to give Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered a solid play through. I guess all of the fans of the franchise won't care about something like that though and will just throw their $9. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is having a preview event for press but those not lucky to be considered can have a bit of gameplay to view for now Brace yourself as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is having a huge preview hands-on event and we will be flooded with "hands-on" stories from all of the outlets that Warner Bros. and CD Projekt RED have deemed worthy of attending said event. Normally this kind of thing is neither publicized nor widespread as they all like to keep the rush for view clicks a nice fair race but what we going to do? Read More...

Where & When Would You Like Far Cry To Be Set Next?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
A test market survey for Far Cry from Ubisoft was sent out and it alludes to other options that we may see for the franchise moving forward Marketing surveys can be fun and in the case of the most recent one for Far Cry from Ubisoft it looks like the fun doesn't stop. In fact it flows and has now added all kinds of speculation to the future of the franchise that they are still doing extremely well with. At least last I checked Far Cry 4 was still one of their top selling titles from last year but the video game industry can be a fickle bitch. Enough of that and let's see what we can maybe look forward to in Far Cry's future. Read More...

A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Hopefully this will be the last of the slow weeks for video games here. At least in the news side of things. We'll be all over that next week for your reading and hopefully viewing pleasure. Until then, let us focus on those video games that we can look at now. Read More...

Looks Like There Is Less Hatred For Hatred Than We Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Ultra-violent game Hatred has been Greenlit on Steam despite the outcry and disgust from the gaming community For a game like Hatred that has been getting a lot of hatred, pardon the puns this time, it seems odd that if all of it was true then the game would not have been approved by Steam's Greenlight project. Yes, Hatred has reached the appropriate level of positive votes and it is now greenlit to be on Steam once Destructive Creations actually finishes building the game. It looks like all of that "negative" press the game was getting finally made this title get the steam roller momentum, pun not intended, so we will be seeing Hatred on our PCs via Steam in 2015. This Week In Video Games 12/15/14 — 12/19/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 20th of December 2014 - 12:03 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games While others are letting the news for video games fall to the side lines or into the wastes, we are hard at work keep it all flowing for you. We're going to be spending a lot more time here with our video games here in short time so we need to keep up to date with what will be coming once we have no time to play them all again. Isn't this industry nice? With Evolve, Dying Light, and the Call Of Duty DLC coming you need to be reminded while trying to still enjoy #killallzombies or Grand Theft Auto V right? Read More...

Everyone Is Flip-Flopping Over Hatred Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
It appears that everyone is now singing different tunes for Hatred as it is now back on Steam Greenlight If reports are true it looks like Hatred is now back up on Steam Greenlight thanks to Gabe Newell… Or publicity stunt… Or shady practices by Destructive Creations… Or Korean hackers… Or hopefully you get the picture by now. None of that of course changes the fact that you can again vote for Hatred to be published on Steam now or try and crush the hopes of at least 27,000 hopeful gamers out there. You'll only need to muster another 23,000 negative votes to succeed there though. Read More...

Steam Has Hatred For The Game Hatred…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Hatred was up on Steam's Greenlight for a few hours before being removed and declared not to be published by Valve So this was going to originally be about Hatred being up on Steam Greenlight but as I began to wrap the final keystrokes it would seem that the game has been pulled down. Yes, Hatred was up for community vote on Steam's service to be published but, like I said, it was only there for a few hours before it was taken down for the voting and an official statement was released from Valve on the whole situation. I'll let you read all of that before I get into my own thoughts on what is going on with this "offensive" PC shooter game that Destructive Creations have been working on. Here's exactly what Valve had to say about Hatred and why it was taken down from Greenlight. Read More...

Now Here's Everything You Need To Know For Far Cry 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Here is a new trailer for Far Cry 4 from Ubisoft and Red Storm to show us everything that we need to know for the game's launch It looks like these "everything you need to know" videos from Ubisoft are all the rage still so here we have one for Far Cry 4. We all need a reminder as to why we need to be picking up Far Cry 4 and giving it a spin because all of the previous videos and information handed out like candy just wasn't enough. I'm so glad that we are getting treated like we have the truncated version of a gold fish's memory. Like under a week kind of truncated here. Read More...

Story Time: Far Cry 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We have our first good glimpse at the story for Far Cry 4 and a few explanations why we are murdering up the mountain If you haven't been following along with much of Far Cry 4 outside of the fun looking game mechanics and killing that will take place in the game on November 18th then you might be a bit behind on why all said killing is going on. Yes it is well known that there is some guy named Pagan Min shitting all over Kyrat and all that jazz but why? Also why should we care is another great question to ask when digging into Far Cry 4. Far Cry 4, Rakshasa, Golden Path, & The Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We have a look at the multiplayer of Far Cry 4 and the factions vying for control of Kyrat Now that we are getting all of the single player updates for Far Cry 4 we should look for an update for the multiplayer aspect of the game. At least one of them which is just what we have explained a bit in the most recent trailer for Far Cry 4. It even has a bit more on the lore of Kyrat and Pagan Min for all of those story fiends out there. You know, because there are so many of us out there. Read More...

Red Barrels has confirmed that their next horror title they are working on is indeed Outlast 2 Well it looks like we are officially getting an Outlast 2 and I couldn't be more tickled pink about that. Hells I'd be tickled red with a scalpel to the belly for Outlast 2 and it looks like Red Barrels is giving us just that. Hopefully by now you've had a chance to experience Outlast on the Xbox One, PS4, or PC by now. If not then you may not get the excitement. Read More...

Time To Got To The Midlands & Himalayas Of Far Cry 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The next part of the Welcome to Kyrat series for Far Cry 4 has been released to show off the Midlands & Himalayas of the game We've already seen the lowlands of Far Cry 4's Kyrat location so it is about time to start moving up to new heights in the environments. Well Ubisoft and Red Storm want us to now as they have given us a new look at more of Far Cry 4's world. This time we even get to look at that arena that was teased at the end of the last video and it looks intense. That and something that looks like it was pulled right out of Game Of Thrones even though that series didn't pioneer the idea of sky prisons. Read More...
