by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of December 2009 - 03:49 PM ]
Continuing from the God of War Review from a few weeks ago, the beginning part of the Collection, we bring you God of War II. Which as you would think, continues the story of Kratos and his fight against the Gods and Titans from Greek mythology. Only this time with a little bit more twists and a quasi surprise ending that some could kind of see coming. At least if you know your mythology. Before I get to much further in, let me answer a question you may have. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of December 2009 - 03:42 AM ]
So in a time where exclusives can greatly help a console system, as long as the game is going to be a big one, it looks as if Sony just landed themselves half a big fish. A fish that is showing up on the XBox and the PSP as well. But it looks like the best version of Dante's Inferno, the game I'm talking about, is going to be on the PS3 and only the PS3. The next best part, FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST TO US GAMERS. Yea you read that, now love it. Read More...

by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 8th of December 2009 - 12:40 AM ]
EA announces today Dead Space 2... again.... formally this time....  That's right your favorite silent hero Isaac Clarke is making a comeback. Although certain people who will remain nameless *cough* Glenn Schofield *cough* have already mentioned back in October that Dead Space would be getting a sequel, it seems Visceral Games wanted an actual press release, just to make it all official and fancy.Visceral Games (Previously known as EA Redwood Shores) have much to say about the new title:“We’re thrilled to jump back into the series, making the next chapter in Isaac’s journey. The infection continues to spread throughout space and our hero Isaac Clarke is the only person able to contain it. Read More...

An Electrifying Deal: inFamous' Price Cut
by Kevin [ Sunday, 6th of December 2009 - 03:29 AM ]
For those who have no idea, inFamous was a title released this past spring for the Playstation 3. It was a sandbox game that dropped you in the middle of a war torn city on the verge of social collapse while leading you into an overarching mystery that dealt with the origin on your character, Cole. The game did pretty darn well for Sucker Punch and Sony, selling over a million copies to date. And what better way to celebrate that milestone than by marking down the game for the unitiated!Well, Playstation mentioned that the title is now going for $39. Read More...

We all know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 took away dedicated servers from PC gamers. This is not the case for Shattered Horizon. On December 4th, 2009 Futuremark Games Studio finally allows for a dedicated server for Shattered Horizon, a multiplayer first-person shooter played in zero gravity. At least PC gamers will be able to choose how they want to play Shattered Horizon and who they want to play with. Players will be getting greater protection from cheats, hackers and griefers. Review: God of War Collection - GoW
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of December 2009 - 05:41 PM ]
With the lack of backwards compatibility on the current age PS3 units, it was starting to look like there was no way for new users to play their classic games as the technology became more economically available. This being the case, it looked like some great classic games would get purged from households to make way for the new technology. But you can't keep a great classic down, and it was decided to produce a version of one to make it through to the modern tech. Much like the great Greek Tales, God of War and God of War II do just the same with the God of War Collection. Read More...

A Whole New Medal of Honor
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 2nd of December 2009 - 09:02 PM ]
Are you ready for another Medal of Honor game? Well it has been a while since we have seen action in the Medal of Honor universe. What if I told you that this Medal of Honor won’t take place in World War II, but instead it takes place in modern era?  Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that in 2010 an all-new Medal of Honor will introduce the Tier 1 Operator, a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle. EA has been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the US Special Operations Community since the earliest stages of development to create the most authentic modern war experience. Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor had this to say, “When we first set out to reinvent Medal of Honor, we wanted to stay true to its roots of authenticity and respect for the soldier, but bring it into today’s war. Review: Assassin's Creed Bloodlines
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 2nd of December 2009 - 05:39 PM ]
As I was about to board my flight for the trip, I thought I might pick up something to help the trip go by faster. I understood that buying inside the airport usually meant higher prices, but I managed to find a reasonably priced PSP Assassin's Creed Bloodlines bundle, which came with the game, a Silver PSP-3000, a code redeemable for a DLC version of Angels and Demons, and a 2gb memory stick. Sure, I already had the PSP-1000 and I did know that the 3000's screens were crap at best, but I decided to get one anyhow seeing as that my launch unit's screen was fairly beaten up, scratched, and the fact that the audio only worked through the headphones as the speakers had found a way to stop working about 2 weeks before. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed isn't new to the handheld world, Altair's Chronicles was released to the Nintendo DS and iPhone earlier, however this was the first time that they would try putting the full free-roam style gameplay on a handheld.
