Zero To Hero In No Time Flat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of September 2008 - 08:02 PM ]
1-60 in 20 minutes Ok, so at first when I read about the new WoW level a friend thing, I kind of thought that the day of traditional PLing had gone away. This is true and false after further reading, like 8 or 9 times to get what they were trying to get at. Which is cool, but not all that cool. Pretty much, any new player you refer to the game, they can grant a free level for every two they gain themselves. That is, new player is level 2, can give 1 level to a character of the person that recruited them, as long as the person gaining is lower level. So pretty much, the old player can take the new player out to level up to 60. Read More...

Saints Row 2 Hands On @ PAX '08
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 2nd of September 2008 - 01:37 PM ]
After playing the first Saints Row for more hours than I can possibly count, I’ve been extremely excited since the announcement of Saints Row 2 coming in 2008.  After one delay, which has pushed the game back to October 14 2008, I about lost my mind.  But I would not have to wait that long to at least get a test run, and this is where PAX 2008 comes into play.    After a short five minute play through during the media time on Friday, I knew I had to get back and play the full first mission of Saints Row. Sunday, I got to finally get a full session in and take in the experience of Saints Row 2. Read More...

*The Last Guy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of August 2008 - 10:30 PM ]
*The Last Guy - In Review So North America finally got this game on their PSNs as of yesterday. To buy that is. Not a bad little $9.99 download for the console. But I'm sure most of you Sony fans have already heard enough about this game leading up to launch. Well I'm going on further and going to write a half assed review on it for ya. It's funny, but this game kind of reminds me of Infected for the PSP. Only not as blood filled. Read More...

 Mirror's Edge: a PS3 timed exclusive?
by Nikole [ Sunday, 24th of August 2008 - 10:21 PM ]
During the Games Conference in Leipzig, Heise.de, a German tech site, quoted SCEE president: David Reeves while discussing th future of Mirror's Edge. In the quote he claims that Mirror's Edge will be a timed PS3 exclusive, similar to the way RockBand 2 is being released for the Xbox 360. This of course would go against all of EA's past trends of releasing everything at once on every possible console. "We are continuously, month after month publishing new titles that bring something unique and target different groups. In a month it’s Gran Turismo, in the next SingStar, and Third-Party Title’s such as EA’s Mirror’s Edge are all part of the strategy. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2008 - 07:38 PM ]
Xbox and Rock the Vote to Give Voters a New Platform for Change Man there are really trying to get more and more voters these days. I remember when Rock the Vote first started, you know trying to get young voters voting using rock stars and music. Well now they are targeting your game machines. Well at least the XBox users to get even more. Using a title that could be a bit of a rip off from this site? I jest. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2008 - 08:51 PM ]
BioShock Dated And Given Extras So those of you who have heard the hype about Bioshock but were too lazy to get it on the PC or XBox, or only have a PS3, you might have known that it was getting a PS3 release. Well, today it was dated for the gaming world. That's right, the 21st of October. Not bad timing, except that Dead Space is coming out around the same time. But I doubt that will hurt them any. Especially with the extras being offered for the new PS3 version of the game. Read More...

by Nikole [ Tuesday, 12th of August 2008 - 08:37 PM ]
Sega is hard at work to make you beautiful. The gaming company has teamed up with the make-up powerhouse Shiseido to bring women and men a personal beauty consultant. Project Beauty will be hitting shelves in Japan on November 27 on the Nintendo DS. The game will be used with a scanning device that will take a digital image of the players face and feed it into the DS. After scanning your face you will be put into one of four groups; Cool, Active, Cute or Feminine. You then have the option of the game telling you what's best for your particular face or you can decide for yourself by mixing and matching different colors. Read More...
