Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Trailer
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 24th of May 2011 - 04:44 PM ]
Can you hear that? That's the sound of money falling from the sky and into Activision Blizzards pocket. Here is the first official look at Modern Warfare 3 in all of its glory. This is the next chapter in the record shattering franchise that is sure to get fans blood pumping. Be sure to pick it up November 8th this year, but for now check out the trailer below! This is our first actual look at game play and I have to say it is eye candy for my brain. Not only do we see tanks and helicopter gunships, we also see mass destruction of some of the biggest cities in the world. Read More...

Review: Brink
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 23rd of May 2011 - 04:59 PM ]
Brink is a fast paced, multi-faceted first person shooter, and brought to us by Splash Damage and Bethesda Softworks. With its intuitive free-running style game play, and great stylized graphics, is it enough to keep this title from the Brink of extinction? Brink is set in the near future, where two factions battle for control of a floating city known as the ARK. The Security and The Resistance are plagued with overpopulation and poverty, and have decided that the ARK is not big enough for the both of them. There is a story line for each faction and sixteen missions total in the campaign. Read More...

Aggrocast Episode Eighty One: Mergers And Acquiescence
by Brian Bentley [ Saturday, 21st of May 2011 - 09:13 PM ]
Brian, David and Corey are back for more hilarity and hijinks on this mid-May episode of the Aggrocast. The guys talk what they've been playing including Dungeon Siege II, Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, Brink, Persona 4 and David's special project. The Community Spotlight is back as well as the highly praised Care/Don't Care segment. The episode wraps up with our main topic - the IGN / UGO merger - and ends with plenty of talk of kittens. We are currently still having a technical issue with our usual feeds, so in the mean time, click here to listen, press play below or use the link below to download it directly. Read More...

Dead Island Really Showing How Paradise Can Go Wrong
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of May 2011 - 05:57 PM ]
So the original trailer for the game made a huge splash and so did the exclusive behind closed doors showcasing, but for the most part it has been CGI or mostly words showing/describing how Dead Island will handle. While this is still a little bit of the case, we can glean a little more from the below screen shots and new trailer for the game. In fact some of the action shots show quite a bit that can be guessed at. The trailer on the other hand is not as informative, but it does hold a different view of the game world. Read More...

What's With The Nut Shots In Shadows Of The Damned
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of May 2011 - 06:08 PM ]
So we are coming into the home stretch before Shadows Of The Damned will be hitting shelves. Just a little over a month last I checked. We've been give some interesting and, after I got a hold of it, controversial things for the game in the past, so what is to come now? More videos of madness? More odd creatures that will be trying to drag Garcia's girl deeper into the nether realm? Here's the funny thing here though. There are a few interesting and odd looking creatures in the below screen shots but notice that Garcia is aiming near the "junk area" when taking aim. Read More...

Batman Takes On FPS In Gotham City Impostors
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of May 2011 - 05:27 PM ]
Here is where that pesky Batman: Arkham City multiplayer rumor got its foundation, well at least that is what I speculate. It looks like just before we get the new Arkham game we are getting Gotham City Imposters. Sounds like a weird Batman tribute white rapper band, but it is a new FPS from Monolith Productions and Warner Bros. Interactive. Wait a second. Read More...

Review: Subsonic Racin' Pro Chair
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 16th of May 2011 - 09:37 PM ]
Who doesn’t dream of high-speed car chases and the thrill of racing? Well, the Racin’ Pro portable racing chair from Subsonic gets you just a little bit closer to that dream. Subsonic is giving players the tools to have a first class driving experience as if they were in the arcade themselves. What sets the Racin’ Pro chair apart from the competition is its portability. The chair and all of its pieces fold up into a backpack for easy transportation and storage. Setup is a breeze. Read More...

Finally Some Prototype 2 Screens
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of May 2011 - 06:07 PM ]
Maybe it is just me, or because we are still a year out from launch, but the visuals for Prototype 2 don't seem to be going the way most sequels go. Usually there is some insane boost or extreme change in how things look. From the below screen I'd swear that they were take straight out of the first game. Not that it is a bad thing, but a little unexpected. I do have to say that some of these shots do have me raring to go back and play the original Prototype just because of how much fun I originally had. Read More...

Activision To Release A New Call Of Duty, More Talk Of Project Beachhead
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 11th of May 2011 - 03:54 PM ]
Monday brought a lot of long awaited, if not expected, news for the Activision Blizzard team. One important bit of news was a new Call of Duty title that would be released before the end of this year. With Call Of Duty: Black Ops the number one selling game in the US and Europe for the past three months, it's no surprise that Activision is going all in with this one. It's a safe bet that another CoD will sell just as well if not better than its predecessors. "This year's Call Of Duty initiatives will result in the best Call Of Duty experiences we have created to date," Kotick said. Read More...

Aggrocast Episode Eighty: Returning Without Our Privacy
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 10th of May 2011 - 08:32 PM ]
The Aggrocast is back in a big way with Brian, Corey and David discussing the recent doings (or undoings) of the PlayStation Network - where they went wrong and David's soon-to-be copyrighted idea to fix it. Nintendo's next console also makes an appearance, as well as two new segments - Community Spotlight and Care/Don't Care. No podcast would be complete without a Whatcha Been Playing where the guys talk Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, Magicka, Dragon Age 2, Civilization 5, Game Dev Story, EA Sports Active 2 and a few beta releases. We are back! Read More...

Some Heavenly Sword 2 Information?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of May 2011 - 06:01 PM ]
It is hard to believe it has been almost four years since Heavenly Sword hit the PS3, but it has been. It was an amazing game even though its sales were not overwhelming. I'd blame that on the rocky launch of the PS3 and the titles that had been pushed out for said launch. Who'd want to waste $60 on a new IP made specifically for the infant system at the time. Well this guy for one. The game ended leaving a want for a sequel from Ninja Theory. Read More...

Dark Of The Moon Shows How Bumblebee Stings
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of May 2011 - 10:42 PM ]
Unlike Mass Effect 3, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is still on track for its June release. I mean it better be as Activision is trying to get it out in the same window as the upcoming film as well. A delay now would be retardababy. Or at least give us the promise that is not just a film tie-in and a real follow up to War For Cybertron. Well with the being on track and all, there are a few more screen shots from the game to take a look at. You can see them below. Read More...

Mass Effect 3 Delayed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of May 2011 - 08:42 PM ]
Did you hear that? The loud grown that just flooded the world as all of the Mass Effect fans just heard that Mass Effect 3 is going to be delayed until 2012. Yea, it sucks for the fans, but with how the game looks to be shaping up, I am completely sure that the wait will be well worth it. That is supposed to be the case when they push things back isn't it? Sure it is… Below there are a few new images for ME3 and I am assuming that the delay has to go with something other than the visuals needing work. The game is looking to be extremely beautiful. Review: Mortal Kombat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of May 2011 - 06:08 PM ]
Once again the forces of Outworld are attempting to invade Earthrealm, an invasion that will lead to the enslavement or death of every living soul on Earth. That is if Raiden, God of Thunder, and a handful of fighters fail to fight for our right to live and kill each other on our own terms in Mortal Kombat. A tournament that uses the term "mortal" extremely loosely. Besides the main story of this fighting game, there are many other modes for players to enjoy. Read More...
