Get A Look At DOOM's Nine Unique Multiplayer Maps
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of March 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
DOOM A new video for DOOM has been released and this one shows off nine of the maps that will be included in DOOM's multiplayer during the beta & at launch The multiplayer beta for DOOM is only a few weeks out now and we haven't yet been able to see the maps that we will be killing each other on. This could be a good ploy by Bethesda to keep us all on our toes or it could be that id Software is still wrapping up a build just for the beta and they aren't done yet. Looks like whatever the case was before it is no longer the case as now we have a nice quick look at the nine maps coming to DOOM and that will be available to play when the beta goes live on March 31st for everyone lucky enough to be in on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Review — Hitman — Paris
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of March 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hitman We sit down and review Hitman — Paris. This is the first episode of Io Interactive's latest addition to the Hitman franchise. Here's our review on how they did. The wait is finally over and the multi-delayed Hitman has been released. Well at least the first full episode and the prolog that many of us had a chance to experience during the beta that Square Enix put on for us. That was a nice taste but the maps were small and tight and it is time to see what Io Interactive has in store for us as we move forward with the rest of the content coming for Hitman. Here's our review of the first "episode" of the game just for you to read. Read More...

BioShock Collection Rated Yet Again…This Time With Box Art
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of March 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
BioShock Another rating for BioShock Collection has been spotted and more rumors about the possible boxed collection of all BioShock titles are back Looks like another ratings board has shown some form of existence for a BioShock Collection. This time it comes out of Taiwan and also happens to include possible box art for the collection. All of this and there is still no official word out of 2K Games on the possible collection but signs are still pointing to the fact that we will be seeing some or all of the BioShock titles coming together in some form on the PS4 and Xbox One. Unless this is one major troll out there. Read More...

Nathan Is All Grown Up For Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of March 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Uncharted 4 The next dev diary for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been released and we get a good look at how the team and Nathan have grown into Uncharted 4 Last week we had a good look at how Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has evolved from the first title from so long ago. Of course that time does wonders not only on the game but also on the team over at Naughty Dog who have been working on the franchise for so long. They have aged and they have taken that "wisdom" into thought while crafting Uncharted 4 as we get to see how everyone in the game has aged as well. Such a roundabout way to get here but now we have the latest dev diary to spy on that covers just those themes. Read More...

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Is The New Name & Making Humans In The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of March 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hellblade Hellblade has a new name as we are introduced to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and also shown how the dev team is making a virtual human in the gameplay It looks like we have a new name to settle on for Hellblade as it looks like a subtitle is going to extend it out just a bit further with Senua's Sacrifice. If I had to make an educated guess I'd say this is all based on Ninja Theory finally figuring out exactly where the story of the game is going and what we can expect when it finally hits the PS4 and PC sometime this year. Another great sign as I know I have been excited for Hellblade to come out since I saw the first bit that they ended up scrapping to improve upon. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of March 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
PlayStation VR During a press event at GDC PlayStation VR was priced out and also now we have a release window for when PlayStation VR will be hitting our homes Update 2 Deatail on the PlayStation VR bundle confirmed Sony isn't kidding around here for the PlayStation VR as they confirmed that the bundle will be $499 USD and up for pre-order on March 22nd. It will include: PS VR headset PS VR cables Stereo Headphones PlayStation VR Demo Disc PlayStation Camera 2 PlayStation Move motion controllers PlayStation VR Worlds (disc) Update Sony Confirms Bundle For North America Looks like there was a lot of outcry about the PlayStation VR set not coming with a camera or Move controllers. While the camera is required to use the system the controllers are not but many developers are building titles with the idea that consumers will have them. Read More...

New Multiplayer VR Game Werewolves Within Has Been Outed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of March 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Werewolves Within A new VR game, Werewolves Within, has been announced and pits players against each other to see who truly has a Werewolves Within… The mainstream VR hardware is still a bit off from release and it looks like we have yet another odd game to add to the list as Werewolves Within has just been announced. While the title does sound a bit goofy it does look like Red Storm is trying to make something truly unique out of the gate for the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR. Werewolves Within wouldn't be a true Ubisoft game if it wasn't trying to capitalize on every available platform that it can right out the gate after all. Read More...

System Shock The first bit of gameplay for System Shock Remastered has made it online and now we can see how we may be experiencing System Shock in a different way It was out there in the ether of the internet for a while now but here we go with actual footage of System Shock. Don't think you've lost your mind or anything but it looks like Night Dive Studios has opted to show us all how much work they have placed into remaking/remastering the classic System Shock for the Xbox One and PC. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of March 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
TMNT New gameplay for TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan has been placed out there and it shows off the turtles in action as well as TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan's release date While a lot of the wait for TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan news has been all over the place it looks like the wait for the actual game to release is a lot closer than we could have imagined. Platinum Games has stepped up and it looks like we are now getting the game on May 24th. Just as I assumed from before so that Activision could work in tandem with the new film's release and TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan to try and capitalize on that extra dollar. Read More...

King’s Quest Third Episode Is A Romcom & Almost Ready To Play
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of March 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
King’s Quest The third episode of King’s Quest now has a release date and is slated to bring a romantic comedy to the King’s Quest story thus far Another good chunk of time has gone by since the last episode of King’s Quest was released and it looks like the third episode isn't going to be too far off as we now have a release date for it. Not only that but it looks like from the description that has been revealed by The Odd Gentlemen it looks like we are going to be in for some kind of romantic comedy when all things are said and done. It will also make us question a few things we assumed from Sierra's version of King’s Quest already set in motion. Read More...

The Walking Dead: Michonne Will Be Giving No Shelter By End Of March
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of March 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead A release date for The Walking Dead: Michonne's second episode has been set and we get a nice look at all the choices made in The Walking Dead: Michonne so far & how they played out Last we saw as The Walking Dead: Michonne's first episode was released after a lot of anticipation. For the most part my gripes about it were on the nitpick side of things and the big issue I had was that I had to wait to play episode two. Thankfully it looks like Telltale Games is keeping to their loose release schedule and we are now going to see the continued adventures of The Walking Dead here by the end of the month. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 3/7/16 — 3/11/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 12th of March 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There we go with another week of video games in the bag. It was a bit more on the slow side given the proximity to GDC but that doesn't mean there wasn't much to see and experience in gaming. We had more to look at for Vampyr and we have more to look forward to for Portal. We are all prepped for DOOM's beta that is upcoming and it looks like Overwatch will be entering an early access as well. Like I said, all kind of news and updates on this slow week for video games. Thief Movie Is One The Horizon As The Rights Are Claimed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of March 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Thief The rights to do a Thief movie have been claimed and it looks like we are on the path to actually see Thief on the silver screen Rumors and murmured words have been flying around lately that we are going to be getting a Thief movie. That would be a film based on the video game franchise that Eidos-Montréal has crafted and not another movie about random people stealing things for fun. Well I guess a Thief movie would fall into that vein of thinking but that isn't the goal here. It is all about bringing the moderately received reboot to the franchise to the silver screen and now we have confirmation from Square Enix that someone wants to do it. Read More...

Come As You Are For New Quantum Break Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of March 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Quantum Break A new cinematic trailer for Quantum Break has been released and it adds some darker tones to Quantum Break with a cover of Nirvana If for some reason you didn't have a good grasp on how the theme of Quantum Break will feel then it is time to see yet another cinematic trailer for the game. I swear Remedy wants to pump out more of these then any real gameplay but seeing as Quantum Break is using a very life like structure for the characters what you are about to see could quite easily be gameplay and we just don't know it. Of course this isn't the only thing to take away from this latest trailer for the game. Read More...
