Oddworld The console family for Oddworld: Soulstorm will be expanding with the announcement of this Oddworld heading to the Xbox soon Hey, would you look at that? Oddworld: Soulstorm will no longer be just a PS4, PS5, and PC only game here soon with the current announcement that we will see the game hit the Xbox One and Xbox Series X now. I know when Oddworld Inhabitants first brought the game to us; it was looking like it was going to be some form of exclusive at the time. That is no more with the announcement here as we wait to see when and how Oddworld: Soulstorm will finally bring this 2. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of August 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Samurai Shodown The fourth character for the current Samurai Shodown Season Pass offers us one more guest samurai to the roster of Samurai Shodown Here we go with one more character into the mix for Samurai Shodown with the fourth character in the third Season Pass landing on us all. Well, landing on August 19th but that is close enough to say they are landing in here that it still counts for now. That is what I will go with and I am sure that SNK will agree too. All so we can get Samurai Shodown ready for one more fight when Baiken drops on in there from Guilty Gear Xrd. Read More...

The State Heist Is On For Us With Hood: Outlaws & Legends
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of July 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Hood A new mode is coming for Hood: Outlaws & Legends that will have us teaming up again with Hood and pals out there Get the band back together for Hood: Outlaws & Legends, as we have a whole new game mode to go in on for the team to work together on. That is more on the literal sense of things with Sumo Digital giving us a new mode that will have us only playing on the Co-Op side of it all. I know I have been looking forward to something like this since Hood first hit the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC so I did not have to compete with so many others out there. This new mode, called State Heist, makes it feel like the way I always imagined the game being since it was first announced. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/19/21 — 7/23/21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of July 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is a wrap on another fun week with all kinds of video games out there. Some had some big news and others just slight updates for us all once more. It was also nice to see smaller titles like Faraday Protocol and Fracked get some fun additions in there and were able to hang with other video games like Dead Space and Deathloop that had some solid highlights. Yes, I did say Dead Space if you missed that before. We are getting a remake and was definitely one of the bigger tidbits of the week here. Read More...

Back 4 Blood Shows Off Its Style Coming To The PC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of July 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood A new look at Back 4 Blood shows us how Back 4 Blood will be looking on the PC if you have the hardware to run it Those looking to get down on Back 4 Blood over on the PC will be happy to see the latest update that we have for the game here. Technically, those that have the latest consoles could keep an eye on this too, as the update we have is a look at how the game is going to look on the PC if you have the hardware to run it all and get the amazing visuals listed here. I have faith that Turtle Rock will do what they can to get it to look the same on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, but this is going to be one of those for the specific gamers out there. Sadly, those looking at Back 4 Blood for the PS4 and Xbox One will just be getting a bit of jealousy here or the urge to try to upgrade just a bit more for this title. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of July 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Finally, we are back to having an average week of things with all of these video games and their announcements. Not that we do not enjoy being bombarded with news and updates, it is hard to appreciate them all and see smaller titles like MADiSON and Chernobylite have a chance to shine. It also gave us that well-needed time to get those reviews for Ragnaröck and Minute Of Islands out to you. Both are vastly different video games, indeed, and worth some time to check them out on the site to see if they will be your jam. Read More...

Night Book Will Be Telling Its Story Before The End Of The Month
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of July 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Night Book The release date for Night Book is now set down with Night Book hitting us all before the end of this July It was first teased during this year's E3 and there was no release in site at all, but here we are with the announcement that Night Book will be hitting us in July. That is this month for those following along and while there are many days in it, Wales Interactive has set it down to give us the date of July 27th for when it will be hitting us on all of those platforms out there. That is quite an impressive turnaround from the announcement to the launch for Night Book, and it could pay off extremely well. I mean, as far as anticipation and waiting are concerned but not so much in the hype building and promotion for the indie FMV game that could be another home run for the developer and publisher here. Blood Bowl 3 Heads Further Into The Fantasy Football Realm Of Things
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of July 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Blood Bowl A new campaign video for Blood Bowl 3 is out there to show off the various Blood Bowl sponsors and how they will link into the game There have been a few silly ads for Blood Bowl 3 before now, and I am sure there will be more, but now we get to have a nice little taste of the different campaigns we might get to see in the game. Not in the way of a story mode, that we can tell, but in the way of ad campaigns that Cyanide will have in the game's universe to help sell the whole "fantasy football" aspect that Blood Bowl has been over the years. Not in the traditional way that stereotypical jocks go about to have their fun while pretending to not be into nerd culture. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/21/21 — 6/25/21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of June 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That wraps up more of the news and updates for this week and all of the other video games we had out of this year's E3. We barely had a chance to get to all of them, but we did get to make a dent into the over 180 titles that did get the highlight during the event. Video games such as Hellblade 2, Psychonauts 2, and S.T. Read More...

Blood Bowl 3 Puts All Of The Elves Out On The Field Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Blood Bowl The next Blood Bowl team spotlight is here with the Elven Union taking the stage for Blood Bowl 3 now Another team is getting tossed out there for Blood Bowl 3 here and now we have the Elven Union taking the field to show off more of what they can do. Just as the name of the team implies, this is the one that is filled with all of those pesky elves with Cyanide giving them a little more grace instead of brutality in the mix. Not that they will not have any of that, this is a Blood Bowl game, but it definitely looks like they will be able to out-maneuver most out there that they come across. That will, obviously, come with its own drawbacks but depending on the style of player you are it can be mitigated. Read More...

Night Book Teases Us All With A Bit Of A Real World Mystery To Solve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Night Book A new FMV game, Night Book, was teased during this year's E3 with Night Book showing off what remote work can accomplish Here we go with another one of the great FMV style video games getting teased and poised to hit us with Night Book. This would be one of the next titles that Wales Interactive and Good Gate Media will be bringing to us on all of the platforms out there when it does hit. It also happened to be a small thing to slip out there during E3 this year that might have gone unnoticed for a bit. We spotted it, and given how the same style of games we have seen from them before Night Book have been our jam, it is time to take a look at this one. Read More...

Back 4 Blood Will Be Offering Up Some PvP In A Familiar Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood Back 4 Blood will have a PvP mode mixed in for us all to take the horrors of Back 4 Blood on the attack Given the team working on Back 4 Blood, it was easy to assume that we could be seeing some form of PvP in the mix at some point. When it came to other titles from Turtle Rock, it took a bit and came post-launch. It looks like we are not going to have to wait further than October 12th for that to hit Back 4 Blood, though, as it was announced during E3 that we will be seeing a PvP mode in the mix of it all then. That would be the launch date for the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Read More...
