MERCY!? You Want MERCY! I'm Chaotic Neutral! When the Unreal 3 Engine and game came to market, many of us looked at it in awe with the power it game developers and modders to make their own visually stunning FPS games. Other genres can work with it too, but it is totally an FPS engine. One thing I always though would do great was to have a shooter with some of the better of the licensed superhero characters of comic fame. Granted, Punisher was not the absolute first to come time mind for some reason, but it was the top three ideas I thought of. Harmonix: Music Games Could Abandon Consoles If you had to only buy a fake instrument to plug into your TV to play Rock Band or Guitar Hero, would you? Just to be able to plug and play with out the worry have having to get a specific console or said console purchasing early rights to said game. Release Tuesday 6-30-09

So today is Release Tuesday and here's a rundown of what's coming out: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince It's odd that a movie-based game comes out this early before the actual movie (the movie comes out July 15th in the US/UK and the July 29th in IMAX, it should also be noted the movie has been in the can since May of 2008) The game which semi-follows the movie which semi-follows the book will be released for (here we go) the PS2, PS3, 360, Wii, PC/Mac, DS, and PSP. It's rated E10+. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood The prequel to 2006's Western FPS Call of Juarez comes out this Release Tuesday and tells the story of the infamous McCall brothers. Read More...

The former Executive Vice President of Publishing for THQ was officially hired on as Executive Vice President and General Manager for MTV Games. Also joining MTV Games as Senior Vice President of Sales is David Cox the former Senior Director, Sales, and Merchandising Executive at SCEA. “With our acquisition of Harmonix to our relationship with Jerry Bruckheimer Games, Inc., MTV Games has quickly risen to become one of the top five video gaming publishers. Batman Arkham Asylum XBOX 360 Achievements Listed

Everquest just keeps going and going. It's like the Energizer bunny for online video games. Well as most of you know, Sony Online Entertainment had their annual Fan Faire this week in Las Vegas Nevada. While there, they were celebrating tons of milestones as well as some new expansions. Everquest, which is celebrating 10-years of Everquest, SOE announced a new expansion called the Underfoot. This expansion will feature new underground zones and an increase on the level cap to 90. One that strikes home with me oh so well. Pun intended. Las Vegas Casino Party is that game. From the description of the game, it sounds just like the above mentioned Mario Party titles.
