It is the job of trailers to get people excited about the product coming out. It's generally short version of the awesome that is in store for you when you get the full version. At first glance, Section 8 looks like a Halo wannabe. At second glance it looks like a Tribes wannabe. At third glance it looks like a Battlefield wannabe. I'm not saying that a game that plays like those 3 games would be bad (heck, it'd probably be the best online shooter ever), but Section 8 seems to be lackluster in areas that each of those 3 game excelled in. The problem with that is while that Section 8 may be a solid game, the fact is that people are going to be playing the other 3 games that it is trying to emulate. Section 8 is a multiplayer only game, don't be fooled by the Corde's story campaign mode, it's basically a glorified bot mode with some random bits of story thrown about. Read More...

As I was walking around the PAX show floor, I happen to nearly walk by this Gem of a game. This is a game that seemed to nearly go un-notice at PAX 2009. Major titles like Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo: ODST and more at PAX make this game to be an extremely hidden gem for many of us that tried it out. On October 27th 2009, Runic Games will be releasing an Action Role Playing Game called Torchlight.  Action RPG huh, so you mean like Diablo? Yes, just like Diablo. It’s not as dark, nor as scary as Diablo, but the feel and the controls of the game would make it Diablo-ish.  But they aren’t stopping there. Runic Games is planning on making the game into a MMO, a FREE to play MMO, but will not be available until sometime in the future. The more I hear and read about Bayonetta, the more I can appreciate the game for what it is - or what it potentially will be. You've heard how the protagonist essentially becomes more and more naked with different attacks, and how her hair transforms into weapons, and how the game contains "Torture Combos", "Witch Time", and "Non-Stop Climax Action". However, what you don't know is that I actually met with Sega for a game similar in both tone and style which I dubbed Thana-Nude the Pistolista. My game, which contained "Hot Sticky Combination Attacks", "Uncomfortable Whimpering Time", as well as "Parent Angering Immoral Fatal Thrust Strikes", focused on Thana-Nude - a 'death fairy ronin' who fell from the sky after the great seperation of the Lost Tombs of Zeebs in the Seventh Ascenion. Take2 interactive announced yesterday that they will be releasing Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the iPhone and iPod touch. With the release of the game on Nintendo DS, and PSP in late October, it’s no surprise that they are developing for the iPod touch/iPhone which is quickly becoming the next generation portable gamer system. I remember playing the original grand theft auto, and this new version is very reminiscent of that. Manhunt 2 PC Rated AO Who wants to play Manhunt 2 the way it was originally designed to be played? You know the version that originally netted the game and AO (Adults Only) rating way back in October of 2007.
