The iPad as you have heard is being released April 3rd, 2010. The lines at the Apple store will be ridiculous, Apple is already struggling against the demand, and Steve Jobs is in a chair somewhere sitting in the dark watching his Apple TV and laughing at all the money he is making this weekend. As I have stated in previous articles, the iPhone format has already paved the way for more powerful mobile gaming, but now with the iPad (a larger iPhone) gamers can utilize the larger screen size and have a truly unique gaming experience. I bring this up because with the information overload about the iPad, EA and 2K Games have stated that they will be updating there iPhone games to be optimized for the iPad. We have been waiting nearly a year now since the game was announced at E3 last year to see anything substantial from Metroid: Other M. Well we wait no more. Below is a new trailer that shows everything from cinematics to gameplay to control structure. Kind of a nice big reveal for everything surrounding Metroid: Other M. I do have issues believing that this game is on the Wii juist because of how nice everything looks. I've been following Shank for a while now, and I've been consistently impressed by the visuals and the style of the game. So Civilization fans will be happy to know that 2K Games was kind enough to show at PAX East that they will be coming out with a brand new Civilization game called... Civilization V. Nice title huh? You are probably wondering why they would want to make another Civilization game after the success of Civilization IV? Mafia originally came out on PC in 2002, then later on the orginial XBox, and then PlayStation 2 in 2004. Several years later 2K is releasing the second installment of the Mafia series with Mafia 2. What it is though, is a new teaser for 505 Games' new title Naughty Bear. A cute, cuddly, Hack-n-Slash mayhem game with what looks like twisted humor on par with Fairytale Fights. Happy hang-over-after St. Patrick's day. So you're probably at home/work with a bad hang over and not really in the mood to be productive. So today I bring you three flash games to keep you entertained and highly unproductive on the tail end of this fine drinking holiday. Cream Wolf Cream Wolf is really a throw back to the 80's (for those that remember) with pixel characters, midi music, and crazy color schemes. The game is simple, drive around in your ice cream truck playing your ice cream tune until kids come running to your truck (creepy). This starts the new mini-game where you need to stack the kids order, and try and keep it as nice looking as possible to get the most points. Read More...

38 Studio's just announced that it has signed an agreement with Electronic Arts to publish their first title, which is not their MMO. 38 Studios, LLC is the enterprise of Curt Schilling (World Series MVP) and the creative minds of R.A. Salvatore (of Drizzt fame) and Todd McFarlane (Spawn anyone?) . 38 Studios has been working on an epic fantasy title code named 'Project Mercury', under the watchful eye of Ken Rolston, known best for being the lead designer of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The last time we heard anything about Shank was at PAX in Seattle, Washington where I claimed it to be the best game I played at PAX. No new news of any sorts has come out about who will partner with Klei Entertainment to bring this game to see the time of day. You know, this Eric Ruth guy is quickly becoming one of my favorite people. Not being content with creating a Left 4 Dead drenched in 8-bit nostalgia, this guy took it upon himself to recreate Mega Man 9 in High Definition. To accomplish this, he had to redo every element of the game, from enemy art to music. So essentially what he has done thus far is take a really high profile current title and give it the retro treatment.  Now he has taken what is essentially a retro title - outfit it in high profile-y type goodness - and condensed it into a finely tuned package of incredibly awesome. Halo and Metroid. Two major household names in the gaming industry. Well a few days ago Bungie and Nintendo released trailers for Halo: Reach multi-player and Metroid Other M. To be honest with you all, I thought the Halo trailer really spoke volumes on what the multi-player will be like with a few nice additions to the game. The time has finally come for us all to head back into Rapture and see what has transpired since the fall of Andrew Ryan and get some questions answered. Is the city still standing up well? Have the splicers died off? What happened to those pesky ADAM filled Little Sisters? All kinds of questions that we were left to wonder when escaping from the underwater city in the first BioShock. The Story: Picking up almost ten years after Jack escaped from Rapture, BioShock 2 starts you out in a similar WTF moment forcing the start of the game.
