Trailer Week For Nintendo & Bungie
by Binh Nguyen [ Saturday, 6th of March 2010 - 09:05 PM ]
Halo and Metroid. Two major household names in the gaming industry. Well a few days ago Bungie and Nintendo released trailers for Halo: Reach multi-player and Metroid Other M. To be honest with you all, I thought the Halo trailer really spoke volumes on what the multi-player will be like with a few nice additions to the game. Metroid Other M on the other hand was a bit disappointing. Metroid is probably THE only game for me that I DO NOT want voice acting at all! Read More...

Review: BioShock 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of March 2010 - 08:49 PM ]
The time has finally come for us all to head back into Rapture and see what has transpired since the fall of Andrew Ryan and get some questions answered. Is the city still standing up well? Have the splicers died off? What happened to those pesky ADAM filled Little Sisters? All kinds of questions that we were left to wonder when escaping from the underwater city in the first BioShock. The Story: Picking up almost ten years after Jack escaped from Rapture, BioShock 2 starts you out in a similar WTF moment forcing the start of the game. You just kind of wake up as a Big Daddy and have only clouded memories on what the hell is going on. Read More...

Games In A Flash
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 4th of March 2010 - 09:32 PM ]
Flash games are the best way to kill time at work, at school, or waiting for the next Blizzard game to be released. With all the new console games coming out every week, we seem to overlook some developers that create entertaining games for FREE! Day after day folks are pouring out innovative and new game ideas all the time. I thought I would highlight a few of these for you readers out there, because their are some games out their that are too good to miss. Robot Unicorn Attack   Yes this game looks like it's for four year old girls and ponies (and the music is something from the 80's) but it's simplicity and fast paced gameplay make this a great way to kill that 15 minute break you have in the morning. Metal Tweet Solid VII: Patriot Sons of Blue Foxtail
by Kevin [ Sunday, 28th of February 2010 - 08:57 PM ]
Though Twitter has not verified the account, those that have been following the Tweets of this account have been thoroughly convinced that Hideo Kojima has found his way into Twitter. Kojima has been doing his thing on Twitter for a few days now, and it's worth the translation effort just to walk along with him. There have been several tweets that provide evidence that it is in fact him as such his view from the top for instance. He also enjoys sharing the contents of his meals. Read More...

Big Daddy Got Wood!
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 10:34 PM ]
Ever been so obsessed with a game or character that you needed to draw them or have it everywhere? Myself, I have anime, Super Sentai stuff on my PC, PSP Go, toys (or in Mike's case, dolls), etc. Well this Japanese man takes things to a whole new level as he takes the time to carve out a nearly life size wooden statue of Big Daddy from BioShock. In this nearly ten minute video, you will see how much detail this Japanese Jason took to create Big Daddy. I could not imagine how long it probably took him to finish the project, but needless to say it is worth a watch. Read More...

Fly Planes Into Buildings With Greed Corp
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 12:34 PM ]
Now there is a great addition I though was still 15.2 years away, a ways off from the required 23.7, from being funny. But as shown in the launch trailer for Greed Corp, a game W!Games just released in the wilds, you get to do just that. It even looks like a basic attack to use in this interesting new RTS for the PSN and XBLA. Who wouldn't want to relive that over and over? All joking aside now, I really do mean that this game looks interesting. Read More...

Review: Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 25th of February 2010 - 06:14 PM ]
Wait, Vandal Hearts is still around? Why yes they are. Hijinx Studio and Konami recently released Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment for the XBox Live and PlayStation Network and did a reasonably good job with the game. I just find it a bit random that out of all the Konami franchises, that Vandal Hearts was the one they chose to release. In any case let see how this Japanese turn-based RPG do. If you have played any turn-based tactical RPGs like Ogre Tactics, Disgaea, or Final Fantasy Tactics than you will be familiar with the game and will find a few innovations. Read More...

Review: Dante's Inferno
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of February 2010 - 02:11 AM ]
Hell is a touchy subject. It has been and always will be. It was much worse to even speak about it back when Dante Alighieri wrote The Divine Comedy where he mapped out the circles of Heaven and Hell for all those God fearing Christians to know exactly what he thought was in store for humanity after they shed their mortal coil. But at least he made it easy to disseminate between the three areas one soul could go to. Now that the history lesson is over, let's look at where that has gone now, EA and Visceral Games', Dante's Inferno. Read More...

The demo will have the Twilight Cathedral level and will include some of the puzzles that have divided the gaming crowd as well as some equipment to find and even a couple of boss battles. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of February 2010 - 07:52 PM ]
The day is finally here. The day that EA and Visceral Games have been ramping up for. The day that you get to "Go To Hell." With Dante's Inferno launching today (2/9/10), you may be wondering what the people over at EA and Visceral are doing to celebrate the launch. Partying it up in a huge display of Lust, Gluttony, and Greed? No. Sacrificing unbaptized babies in hopes the game is the next big game of the decade. Read More...
