This Week In Gaming 4/14/14 — 4/18/14

A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. In the wake of PAX East it is no surprise that there was a lack of any new news in the gaming world. We have been able to scrape a bit on Batman: Arkham Knight and Alien Isolation but it has really been the smaller independent titles and hands on that have kept thing flowing here. We also had a few new game announcements, rumors, studio layoffs, and a review mixed in but I think the newer Economic PC Gaming tutorial build have had to have been one of the shining lights here. Another wave of in-game screen shots for Batman: Arkham Knight have hit the web. Some old, but mostly new. I think the headline here kind of says it all about this new batch of Batman: Arkham Knight screen shots. We have quite a few new visuals for the game and some old sans the watermarks that were forced due to Warner Bros. giving other sites 'exclusive' content. New Screen Shots For The Evil Within Shows Us Water Monsters

A few new screen shots for The Evil Within have popped up on the internet. This time showing off a new monster type. We may not have more news for The Evil Within but we do have a few new screen shots for the game. I wish I had more given all of the bad "previews" that have been abound the internet from the other sites that require payment to give good news; but I don't. Instead just these four new shots that kind of show off a bit of the atmosphere and enemies in the game. PAX East Hands On: Boot Hill Heroes

We get all hands on with Boot Hill Heroes. Here is our experience with the game. Experimental Gamer showed off the second part to their RPG trilogy Boot Hill Heroes at PAX East this year. They initially started this back in 2012 by Kickstarting the first game reaching a goal over three times the goal amount. With successful funding the series has been moving rapidly beginning to pan out from the PC download to Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam. While of the three platforms only the PS Vita currently has access Xbox Live Indie is in the works with Steam awaiting the Greenlight. Read More...

Rumor Mill: Assassin's Creed Comet Leads Us Back To Ancient Rome

New rumors have cropped up stating that the rumored Assassin's Creed Comet will take place in Ancient Rome. New rumors about Assassin's Creed Comet rumors have cropped up all based off something stated during an interview with Jade Raymond (Managing Director at Ubisoft Toronto) on The Grid. There is a bit of a stretch taken by other news and blogs sites out there based off one quote but it would be extremely interesting and would give away the next location after Assassin's Creed Unity's French Revolution. Finally A New Gameplay Trailer For The Evil Within Straight From PAX East

Bethesda has released a new trailer for The Evil Within in the build up to PAX East. Still so many questions unanswered… If there is one thing I love about big gaming and geek conventions like PAX it is that we get awesome new trailers like the one for The Evil Within we just received. Granted, this usually means that we all have to wait an obscene amount of time to finally hear some new little tidbit for a game we are excited for but at least it comes like clockwork. A Few New Murdered: Soul Suspect Screen Shots To Haunt Us

Airtight games has released a few new screen shots for Murdered: Soul Suspect and we have them here. Fresh from the Twittersphere come a few new screen shots for Murdered: Soul Suspect but no real new gameplay or story information. It is cool and all that we have something new to look at but correct me if I am wrong but I thought all of their previous trailers always tease another new trailer soon. Soon apparently means more than a month for a new trailer and spattered screen shots for a game that is quickly coming upon its release date. Bethesda has released a new trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order showcasing some new gameplay and story. Just in case you thought we were running light on the gameplay for Wolfenstein: The New Order we have a new trailer showing just that. Ok, well maybe more of the scripted in-game footage for the game but at least it is a bit more on the overall story that Machine Games and Bethesda are trying to tell. Amazon Game Studios has put out a trailer showcasing some of the upcoming titles for the Kindle Fire and Fire TV. Here's a sneak peek. Amazon has revealed their new Fire TV today and with that Amazon Game Studios has put out a 'sneak peek' at the games that we will soon be able to play on those Kindle Fires and Fire TVs. These of course are in addition to the Sev Zero and Sev Zero: Air Support that are already part of the new set-top library. April Fools: Razer Jokes About Something I Dreamt Up As A Child With Eidolon

Yet another April Fools' joke; this time from Razer in the form of Eidolon. A crazy augmented reality drone and contact lens system. Now here is yet another April Fools' joke straight from Razer in the form of a product called Eidolon. This is one of the more obvious jokes floating around today but the fun fact here is that I had an idea for this back when my mortal coil was a young lad. What am I talking about? Well if you haven't jumped to the video for Razer's Eidolon 'project' yet it is all about a 'power glove' of sorts that has a mini-drone that will follow you around taking video and images of your life.
