Will Blood Be Thicker Than Water In The Walking Dead: A New Frontier
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of April 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The fourth episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier has been given a release date and it looks like we'll be back in The Walking Dead a lot sooner than we thought Talk about a turnaround for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier and how Telltale is going to bring it to us as it looks like the fourth episode of the game will be out on April 25th now. Yes, that is only a few days away from right now and it brings them back on par with how they have been handling many of their other recent titles. I won't lie that I was a bit let down with the three month gap from the two episode premiere of this season of The Walking Dead but hopefully this will stay the trend for Telltale Games as we press forward with this IP and all the others they are bringing us. Jason Is Not Mending Fences With Counselors In Friday The 13th: The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th We have another huge information dump for Friday The 13th: The Game that shows off the final versions of the counselors in Friday The 13th & other updates There is still no solid release date for Friday The 13th: The Game but that doesn't mean that the updates are going to stop rolling in at all. Gun Media is still waiting for all of the certifications to go through for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game and it looks like there was a whole lot that has yet to have been shown off from that build that Illfonic has put together. It's almost like they knew how to restrain themselves when it came to Friday The 13th even though in general it doesn't seem like they can. Read More...

Let's Talk About Video Games & Their Remakes, Remasters, Reboots
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Wednesday, 19th of April 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games There is something going on with video games lately so let's talk about the horrible video games industry practices of late The video games industry is rife with shady business practices. Having people shell out sixty dollars for a game than thirty for a season pass or even more if there is a special edition of a game. This renders most reviews or opinions of a game worthless to the developer. They already have your money and that’s what they mainly care about; rightly so as this is a business. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/10/17 — 4/14/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of April 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with one more week of video games in the bag. As it seems every week for quite some time now, it too was a pretty solid week in news and updates for us over here. We had a massive drop of information for Injustice 2, a lot more gameplay for Prey and Outlast 2, and then there was the plethora of reviews again with Bulletstorm getting into the mix there. These were only a small taste of the video games we had a chance to get to as well, but that is how these weeks seem to usually go. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Surge It is official that The Surge has hit gold status and it also looks like The Surge will be getting some PS4 Pro updates at launch and soon after I could have sworn this was news before but none the less it looks like The Surge has officially gone to gold status for us all. Pretty much locking in the release date that we have been given before from Deck 13 for the game, but now there is no take backs. It is set and final and now we can all sit back and wait for The Surge to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 16th. It's done, set, and getting ready to be packaged up and shipped out. Read More...

It Looks Like There Is Some New Fallout Speculation Out There
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 11th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Fallout Things out in the rumor mill about Fallout are pointing to Bethesda announcing a new open-world Fallout game at E3 this year Sometimes it’s cool to wonder and speculate. When Bethesda did their first big E3 press conference they unveiled the long anticipated Fallout 4 in a mighty fine fashion. I was just as surprised to see them making it an annual thing with BE3 2017 confirmed just a few months ago. Now I wouldn’t expect them to keep showing up unless they have something huge coming. Review — She Remembered Caterpillars
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 10th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
She Remembered Caterpillars We sit down and review She Remembered Caterpillars. Beautiful, but lacking in fun. Here's our review of She Remembered Caterpillars She Remembered Caterpillars is an indie puzzle game that was released at the beginning of the year that I only recently discovered. It is developed Jumpsuit Entertainment, a small German team, and as far as I can see this is the team's first game together. I felt like it could do with a review. The gameplay for She Remembered Caterpillars isn’t anything special. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/3/17 — 4/7/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of April 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This has sure been some amazing week for video games now hasn't it? Not only for the industry but also for us over here as it was another heavy review week with things from Horizon Zero Dawn to The Walking Dead and a few others in between. We also had a lot of cool things to see for Injustice 2 again and more for Prey as both of those titles get even closer to releasing next month. More video games to play and not enough time to do it. Review — The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — Above The Law
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead We sit down and review The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — Above The Law. This is the third episode of Telltale's continuation on their version of The Walking Dead. Here's our review on how they did It has been some time since the last two episodes for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier were launched. I was hopeful that the back to back releases of the episodes were a sign that Telltale Games was going to get this season out there rather quickly. Sadly that was not the case as it was three months until the third episode for this season of The Walking Dead to release, but release it has. Read More...

The Surge Is Letting Us Target Some Limbs & Then Take The Spoils
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Surge The limb cutting mechanic for The Surge has a new trailer to try and show it off as well as the loot and crafting system that The Surge will employ Here we go with yet another video for The Surge and this time it is slated toward a mechanic I have been trying to wrap my head around in the game. Deck 13 has stated that there is a limb cutting mechanic in the game and has shown it off a few times before. From what I've seen in the past for The Surge it looks like just how it sounds as limbs do come off when hit, but what I have yet to understand is just how we do this without just flailing wild and hoping for the best. Review — Horizon Zero Dawn
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Thursday, 6th of April 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn We sit down and review Horizon Zero Dawn. An open world, post-apocalyptic, robot dinosaurs hunting game. Here's our review of Horizon Zero Dawn In Horizon Zero Dawn you play as Aloy who grows up as an outcast, and an orphan, raised in the wilderness by a man named Rost. He teaches to how to hunt and survive in the wild. One thing that kind of bugged me on a personal level was the names that Guerrilla Games came up with. I get what Guerrilla was trying to do with “Rost” as rust, “Aloy” as alloy, but even simple names from people before the apocalypse have dumb names. Read More...

Here We Go With Mass Effect: Andromeda's 1.05 Patch
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Wednesday, 5th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Mass Effect What does Mass Effect: Andromeda look like with less bugs? Hopefully Mass Effect: Andromeda's latest patch will show us Tomorrow (4/6) BioWare’s 1.05 patch for Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available. Down below I’ll leave a link to BioWare’s blog post with the patch notes since I’m going to only gloss over the big ones, and for the fact, I don’t play the multiplayer. The first patch note if “Improved Tutorial Placement” which to me seems odd since I don’t know how they could improve that and what was wrong with it. The opening for Mass Effect: Andromeda was very clunky in every aspect of the word but I felt that was more of a story problem than any oddly placed tutorials. Read More...
