This Week In Video Games 2/13/17 — 2/17/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 18th of February 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site Thus wraps yet another great week for video games. Now we get to relax, take it all in, and then go and play some of those games we've been reading and hearing about all week. Or at least play some of those others ones out there now or in beta like Injustice 2 and soon Ghost Recon Wildlands. At least those are the two video games currently doing just that. Read More...

New Gameplay For The Surge Shows How We Are Helping Combat Climate Change
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of February 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
The Surge The next gameplay video for The Surge has been released and shows us fourteen more minutes of The Surge and more of the story We've had some gameplay before for The Surge and now it looks like it is high time for us to get some more. Of course we always want more but Deck 13 needs to be able to keep some of it to themselves until May when the game lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Digressing aside though, here we are again with more gameplay for The Surge and this time it is more combat and a few new areas of the game to look at. The first time around I saw that the combat was a bit on the clunky side and barring any real detail it looked a bit broken. Read More...

It's Time To Gear Up For Combat With Mass Effect: Andromeda's Latest Video
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Mass Effect A new video series for Mass Effect: Andromeda has kicked off and the first one show how combat has changed in Mass Effect and how we can use it now If you've been holding out for some new Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay to look at then your wait is now over. A new video series for the game has kicked off and starts out with BioWare giving us all the low-down on how combat will function and has been altered over the past titles. This isn't going to be the same style of combat we've been used to in other Mass Effect titles but for the most part it looks like it will run and gun just about the same. Just with all of those upgrades to the newer hardware that EA has paid the team to do. Read More...

You Too Can Dazzle Your Audience As Shinbi Joins The Ranks Of Paragon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Paragon The next hero for Paragon has been announced and this time we add a pop star into the battle of Paragon whom can summon spirit wolves Just when I thought that the ideas for Paragon heroes would be running out, Epic Games drops another one on us and mixes things up by giving us something we didn't know we wanted; a pop star. Yes, the next character to join the fight here is a pop star and is using her brand of music and talents to assassinate others on the battle field. Like I said, not what I would have expected for Paragon but it is a deviation from the traditional warrior types that we've been seeing here for the last few updates. Read More...

The Earth Really Is Not Ours Anymore In Horizon Zero Dawn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn has been released showing off just how the world became the place it is in Horizon Zero Dawn's main story Another week and another huge batch of Horizon Zero Dawn trailers to look at dissect as we wait for February 28th to finally get here and we can load up the game on our PS4. It seems like such a long wait still but as long as Guerrilla Games keeps bringing out these new trailers for us I think we will be able to manage. At least as long as we can keep to being as spoiler free as we've been able to so far for Horizon Zero Dawn. Read More...

Mothergunship Will Bring More Bullet-Hell Gameplay To The Universe
by Duke Searles [ Wednesday, 15th of February 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Mothergunship A new FPS title, Mothergunship, has been announced and Mothergunship looks to bring both some bullet-hell as well as modular weapon crafting to us If you've been feeling like there have been a lack of solid, shoot-the-hells-out-of-everything, FPS games out there then you'll be glad to see that Mothergunship is on its way to sate that hunger. This would be the most recent title announced from Grip Digital and Terrible Posture Games that pits you into the mix of shoot first and ask questions never kind of game play. At least from the first trailer we have here for Mothergunship announcing that it is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the future. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of February 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Resident Evil A new Resident Evil: Vendetta trailer has been released and it looks like we'll have more Resident Evil this Summer in the way of this CG film It's only been assumed up to now but it looks like Resident Evil: Vendetta will be coming state-side this Summer. Not only that, but it looks like it will also be getting a nationwide theatrical release as well. Just another way to get more of our beloved Capcom IP here now. This should be relatively great news for all of those Resident Evil fans out there as that puts it all at one major title release, a plethora of add-on and DLC releases, and two theatrical releases for the franchise. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Perception A new gameplay trailer for Perception has been released and it is also here to announce that Perception will also be coming to the Xbox One Good news for those Xbox One gamers out there who were excited to see Perception in action but then let down when it was only announced for the PC and PS4. It looks like The Deep End Games will also be bringing their horror title to you as well now so all of the consoles and systems will get some love. Well, outside of the Switch for now as there is no word if Perception will be heading there at all, but the three big platforms will be seeing the game so there is that good news. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 2/6/17 — 2/10/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 11th of February 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site That puts another wrap on another week of video games out there. Another pretty solid one again even though it was obvious which titles wanted to dominate the week. Looking at you Horizon Zero Dawn. But just because there was so much on that one title doesn't mean there wasn't a lot more on many other video games out there. We did get to see a bit for Injustice 2 and a nice update for Psychonauts 2. Read More...

Get Ready For An Epic Treasure Hunt As You Land On GreedFall
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
GreedFall A new RPG, GreedFall, has been revealed and it looks to whisk us away to the island of GreedFall to face off with all kinds of magic and mercenaries It's always good when we get to hear about a new title coming and here we go with another RPG called GreedFall. This one comes out of the continued partnership between Spiders and Focus Home Interactive; the pair that brought us all The Technomancer last year and other titles before that. Pretty much they are known for the RPG titles and now we are getting another one with GreedFall when it lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Of course that is all still a ways out as 2018 is the listed date, but we are still in the reveal area of the game and that means we still have a lot of time to get used to it all and see if it will be in our libraries when it launches. Even More Horizon Zero Dawn Machine Are Flying Into The Mix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn Two more machines from Horizon Zero Dawn have been given a breakdown video and these look to be some of the fiercest Horizon Zero Dawn has to offer yet Just as I thought yesterday when we had two new videos for Horizon Zero Dawn's machines, now we have another two to devour in such a short time. It does look like we are going to have a look at all of those dangerous machines in the game as Guerrilla Games has two more to show off here and I am fairly sure that they have yet to be seen in the general wild yet so it is time to get even more excited for the game here. Or frightened as it looks like we have one that looks like it could be fairly manageable and another flying one that looks to make Horizon Zero Dawn be a bit more on the difficult side of things. Meet Two Of The Machines Out To End Us In Horizon Zero Dawn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn Two new video clips for Horizon Zero Dawn have been released and they show off two of Horizon Zero Dawn's machines that will be snapping and killing us We've seen a few of the machines in the past for Horizon Zero Dawn and some of them look like they are going to be a nightmare to fight and others look to be a nice easy ride. Of course looks can be deceiving and there are also a lot of other machines out there in the game's world that could also make things look that way or the other. To help with all of that though, it looks like Guerrilla Games has started a new video series for Horizon Zero Dawn to help show off more of the machines that now own the world as well as how Aloy can bring them down or turn the tides of the battle with them. Things Are Getting Creepier In Little Nightmares With New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of February 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Little Nightmares New gameplay for Little Nightmares has released and it shows off more creepiness in Little Nightmares as well as some new horrible creatures to dodge Before now we all had a solid idea that Little Nightmares was going to be filled with a lot of creepy and dark imagery. At least if you've been following along with everything that Tarsier Studios has put out for the game so far and have not been trying to stay as free of gameplay spoilers so far. In the end it looks like a title that is right up my alley there and with some new gameplay from Bandai Namco today, Little Nightmares gets even further locked in for me and hopefully all of you who are into some dark and creepy platforming. Time to take notice as it is still launching on April 28th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC here soon. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn During a recent stream for Horizon Zero Dawn the developers walked us through some of the game as well as Horizon Zero Dawn's new photo mode It was brought up recently that Horizon Zero Dawn was going to be getting a photo mode mixed into the game so players could immortalize some of the best scenes in the game and show them off to the world. That was pretty much all that was said about it back then but recently Guerrilla Games hosted a live stream where more of the game was shown off but one of the big highlights was this new photo mode. Maybe you saw it or maybe you skipped it so you could go into Horizon Zero Dawn as fresh as possible. Read More...
