We had a lot of new gameplay show up for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Anthem here. We also found out a few other video games will be launching here soon or in regions we did not think possible. We Happy Few Will Be Heading To Australia After All
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
We Happy Few It looks like We Happy Few has been officially rated in Australia and will now We Happy Few will be heading to shelves there as well More good news is here for We Happy Few as it looks like it will be heading to Australian markets after all. It was looking like it was not going to be making it a little while ago when Compulsion Games submitted it for review and it was denied by the board down there. After an appeal submitted and a lot of fan support, it looks like We Happy Few will be getting an R18+ rating now and will be keeping its August 10th release date on track for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. That would be the same for the rest of us out there who are already secure in knowing we will be getting the game. Read More...

Be Careful What You Pray For As Horror Title Devotion Is Announced
by Duke Searles [ Tuesday, 3rd of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Devotion A new psychological horror title, Devotion, is announced and Devotion is bringing with it the horrors of the 80s and religion have to offer We will soon have another horror title to look forward to as we just had the announcement of Devotion pop up here. This will be the next title in the house of Red Candle Games and it looks like it will take us to the 1980s in Taiwan to play out some new puzzle-solving adventure in a first-person game. Devotion also looks to have some other religious overtones mixed in as the story will focus on a family of three going through some kind of event. It really is not all too clear as of yet, but the game is coming. Read More...

More Of The “New Weird” Will Be Introduced In Control’s Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Control The first developer diary for Control is here to explain how the team went about constructing the world and story of Control So far, what has been shown for Control has been impressive and it looks like we could be getting ready for another great hit from Remedy. It does seem to tick off a lot of what we all have come to expect from the developer and now that their title will be coming to the PS4 on top of the Xbox One and PC, it looks like it could all be more promising for the team to do well. All that needs to happen now is to make sure that the world and story of Control work just as well as the mechanics and we are all golden for a nice new franchise to pine over. Not the loftiest of demands, but it is all something that we are all waiting for to find out the full details. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/25/18 — 6/29/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of June 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We have successfully made it through yet another week and a whole lot more to look at for all of the various video games coming out there. We were also able to wrap more of the coverage we had for E3 with Control and Just Cause 4 rounding things out a bit. We also had a chance to dig into some of those other video games out there that we happened to miss on the show floor like The Sinking City. Not to mention that we were also able to get out a review for Jurassic World Evolution out there to you all in the mix. Read More...

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Has A Few New Screenshots To Speculate Over
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors Four new screenshots for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey have popped up and they give us another hint as to what we may get to experience in Ancestors Another good chunk of time has passed since we last heard anything for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, so it seems about time we had something. Given that Panache Digital Games announced the game almost three years ago and we still have little to no clue on the inner workings of the game as of yet, one would think it is time. Just as last time, it is but only slightly. Read More...

New Gameplay For Metro Exodus Is Here To Explain Even More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus Even more gameplay for Metro Exodus is here from E3 and this bit explains a bit more than some of us did not get to experience in Metro Exodus so far If there is a true testament to how large the world of Metro Exodus and how vast the gameplay mechanics are in the game, it has to be with this latest showing of gameplay that we have here today. I was personally able to sit down and give the game a bit of a play a few weeks ago and see just what 4A Games had for us and, while impressed, apparently I missed out a whole lot given the different variations we all could have gone. That is why it is nice for Deep Silver to have a few more of these gameplay videos cut that highlight even more of the demo shown at E3 for Metro Exodus as I know I totally missed them all. Review — Jurassic World Evolution
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Jurassic World We sit down and review Jurassic World Evolution. It is the park simulator we have all been asking for that can go horribly wrong. Here is our review of Jurassic World Evolution It seemed like it took way to long, but the park simulator we have all been waiting for is here with Jurassic World Evolution. At least the park simulator we have all be asking for since the first film released and gaming technology made it possible to do. I guess that is why Frontier Developments took control and put together a version of the Jurassic World IP to sate that want the gamers and film fans have been craving. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — Control
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Control While at E3, I was able to see Control in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Control. Another of the interesting titles that we saw get the reveal out at this year's E3 was Control from Remedy. It came at us all with a weird and unusual trailer, as was to be expected, and made a huge splash during the Sony conference where 505 Games opted to show it all off to the world. Maybe to hit home that their game was going to be on all platforms here or just the right place to unleash Control to the world. Either way, it was announced and slated to hit us in 2019 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/18/18 — 6/22/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of June 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has been another great week and there has been a lot of video games to go over since E3 2018 ended. We still have even more that we have to talk about and bring to you next week, so hopefully you are not tired of it all just yet. How could you be with the great look at Cyberpunk 2077 we all had, the expansion of news for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, and a deeper look at Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Of course, not to discount the other video games out there like Mutant Year Zero and such. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Captain Spirit While at E3, I was able to see The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit. Another of the outside the realm of the usual at E3 came The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit during the Microsoft media event and it is the bridge between the original Life Is Strange and the upcoming second full title in the franchise. DontNod is back at the helm for the franchise here and it looks like they also have Square Enix bringing it to us on June 26th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All for the low price of free, so we can eliminate the cost being a reason to skip out on this new narrative adventure. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — A Plague Tale: Innocence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale While at E3, I was able to see A Plague Tale: Innocence in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on A Plague Tale: Innocence. Another E3 has come and we had another year where we had a chance to check out A Plague Tale: Innocence. This would be that interesting stealth-adventure game that Asobo Studio has been working on that is set in 14th century France where we are being swarmed by rats and need to survive. Not only that but in A Plague Tale: Innocence the innocence stands refers to the protagonist(s) of the story as we take on the role of two young children in the mix of all of this. Time to add another dark yet interesting title to the list for Focus Home Interactive. Read More...

E3 Hands On — Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus While at E3, I was able to see Metro Exodus in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Metro Exodus. After all the plagues of delays, I was finally able to get my hands on Metro Exodus this year out at E3 and see how the game has advanced over its predecessors. Sure, we have seen quite a few interesting trailers in the past and a few tech demos where 4A Games has shown off the game's engine, but graphics do not make a game. It makes it look pretty and in a game like Metro Exodus it helps with the immersion, but it is not the sole reason to give the game a chance. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu While at E3 I was able to see Call Of Cthulhu in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Call Of Cthulhu. The madness continues to flow as we are still left waiting for Call Of Cthulhu to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but we did get another great showing of the game while on the floor out at E3. While I know I was hoping to be able to actually play and experience what Cyanide Studios has for the game so far, it was not meant to be as it was not playable on the floor again. Thankfully, though, Focus Home Interactive had us all covered to show off a bit more for Call Of Cthulhu and get us ready for its imminent release of sometime this year. Read More...
