The Debut Trailer For ModNation Racers Since E3, there hasn't been much talked about this new IP from United Front Games. It was a sneak hit during the Sony E3 Briefing and shown a little bit, in trailer form, around their booth. After that, it has fallen off the radar from all gaming sites, even here at Aggrogamer. But that is not to say that it has completely been scrapped and forgotten. To show that it is still there and on track (pun intended) for a 2010 release, United Front Games hands out their debut trailer for the game. Read More...

by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 14th of July 2009 - 04:20 PM ]
If you thought Batman Arkham Asylum bundle with the Batarang was awesome. Well look what Infinity Ward is putting together for (Call of Duty?) Modern Warfare 2! The Prestige edition of Modern Warfare 2 will include not only the game but it will also have a hard cover art book, a token for the original Call of Duty for XBL or PSN, and working night-vision goggles with a head stand. Working night-vision goggles! Sorry but you cannot get any better than that. Read More...

The Conduit Video Game Review
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 12th of July 2009 - 04:01 PM ]
High Voltage Software unveiled its Wii-exclusive first person shooter (FPS), The Conduit, to the eager gaming public more than a year ago. Nintendo fans saw the game as a surprising, yet welcome, departure from the Wii’s library of casual games. Furthermore, the lack of exclusive quality shooters for the Wii have starved owners since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption back in 2007. It goes without saying that The Conduit has high expectations to meet. Now that it has finally arrived on store shelves, will High Voltage’s alien blast-fest live up to the hype? Read More...

Spymaster Takes Twitter by Espionage
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 06:19 PM ]
Twitter Madness! For those who are not indoctrinated or already addicted, you undoubtedly have friends or acquaintances that can not speak enough about how many followers they have, that they tweeted what they had for lunch (I'm having leftovers) or whether or not Nathan Fillion liked Halo ODST (he did, btw). The interconnectivity can be considered amazing or intrusive depending on how often you check Twitter in a day, how often you tweet, when you're on your [insert phone here] Twitter application and how many text messages are sent to your phone. iList, Inc. Guitar Hero 5: The Obscure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 03:45 PM ]
First 24 Tracks For Guitar Hero 5 Maybe it's just me and not being totally up on my current music or even my older music, but to me it seems that Activision and Vicarious Visions are going with some of the more obscure songs from artists to drive players to the game. Some of the songs just announced for Guitar Hero 5 just don't ring a bell. Well actually quite a few of them don't. Artists I'm good with, but the selected songs just don't pop to mind. Read More...

Rock Band Console?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 09:38 PM ]
Harmonix: Music Games Could Abandon Consoles If you had to only buy a fake instrument to plug into your TV to play Rock Band or Guitar Hero, would you? Just to be able to plug and play with out the worry have having to get a specific console or said console purchasing early rights to said game. Would that sale better than what the current generation is now? Josh Randall from Harmonix thinks that may be the way the music genre may head in the not to far off future. In an interview with Videogamer. Read More...

Who Ya Gunna Call?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of July 2009 - 04:38 PM ]
LBP Ghostbusters So we all knew it was inevitable. With the new BluRay and video game out for the Ghostbusters franchise. Now they are invading the LittleBigPlanet world. Well at least we can assume that with the below image from the PlayStation Blog. No official word has been given about it yet, the blog post is just the image and the phrase "Who Ya Gunna Call?" on it. But it is probably safe to assume that we will be getting the close to racist looking Sack Boy in our LBP sometime in the not to distant future. Read More...

If you wish to read my review of Episode 1: Fright of the Bumblebees and get more background, click here.  My review of Episode 2: The Last Resort is here.)By the “third” of anything, you have a pretty good idea of what is going to happen: the Rebel Alliance will fight the Empire, Indy will hunt for treasure and Marty will need to go back to the future.  The thing is, no matter how much you enjoy it, some of the magic that initially drew you in is gone.  With Telltale Games’ latest Wallace&Gromit adventure Muzzled! The Ultimate Gaming Wishlist
by Jesse [ Thursday, 11th of June 2009 - 04:01 PM ]
The inclusion of three Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur IV was a hot button issue that polarized a lot of fans. For some they were an interesting addition to the tale of souls and swords. For others they were cheap, overpowered and had no business being there. Personally, I’m a huge Star Wars fan and I loved having them in the game. I can agree that a little more tweaking should have went in to making them more balanced like most of the other characters in the roster. Everyone knows just how ridiculous fighting against Yoda was, but even still this felt like the truest adaption of lightsaber combat in a video game. Read More...

E3 Impressions: Singularity
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 8th of June 2009 - 08:15 PM ]
In mathematics, singularity theory is the study of the failure of manifold structure (yes, that is taken from wikipedia). In the game Singularity, something definitely failed, and while I'm not sure what a manifold structure is, it sounded like a cool sentence to start off with. All this aside, Raven Software's Singularity looks like one of the best shooters coming out this year. Players will control Nate Renko, an American Air Force pilot who was sent to an island called Katorga 12 to investigate why the area was emitting irregular amounts of radiation. During his investigation, however, his plane crashes on the island. Read More...

E3 Hands-On Impressions of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
by Brian Bentley [ Saturday, 6th of June 2009 - 09:25 AM ]
Cooks, mathematicians and sports teams all employ a powerful weapon to achieve success in their chosen fields: formulas.  Much will be said from E3 2009 and beyond until well after the launch of the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.  A lot of it will probably not be flattering.  Nintendo has found a graphical and stylistic formula on the Nintendo DS that is both successful and fun.At Nintendo’s booth this year at E3, I was able to avoid the long wait times associated with playing an anticipated title like The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and go hands-on for the entire demo.  The demo was split into 3 parts: Dungeon, Boss and Train. E3 Hands On Impressions of Muramasa: The Demon Blade
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 4th of June 2009 - 06:27 PM ]
I finally got my hands on Muramasa: The Demon Blade for the Nintendo Wii. It was developed by Vanilla Ware, the studio that did Odin Sphere on the PS2, and localized by Ignition Software. The game is beautifully animated and the amount of detail really shines, which showcases the amount of work that went into it. Presented in a 2D side scrolling format, the backgrounds and characters pop out at you. You have two playable characters, Kisuke (male) and Momohime (female), with whom you control using the Wiimote and Nunchuk. Read More...

Greatest Hits Round 2
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 28th of May 2009 - 04:19 PM ]
Do you smell it? It’s going to be all over the place. It’s the PS3's newest additions to the greatest hits library, all of which will be priced at $29.99 and on shelves by June 16th. Here is the list: Army of Two, EA (March 4, 2008) Battlefield: Bad Company, EA (June 23, 2008) Devil May Cry 4, Capcom (February 5, 2008) Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, SCEA (April 15, 2008) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Konami (June 12, 2008) Ratchet&Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, SCEA (October 23, 2007) So I really have questions about this list, as in where is Heavenly Sword, and what about Uncharted? Yes, the games listed above are valid and have the right to be a part of the Greatest Hits library, but some of the titles are not even a year old yet. Now they are already part of the Greatest Hit library? Read More...

So you have a Fallout 3 on the PS3 but wish you could enjoy the additional DLC that 360 and PC users enjoy. Well soon you will be able to play all the sweet awesome goodness that is Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, and two newishly announced DLC packs, Point Lookout (basically a large open swamp area) and Mothership Zeta (you are abducted by aliens) on your Blu-Ray player that coincidentally plays games. A release date hasn't been set in stone for either Point Lookout or Mothership Zeta, but it has been confirmed that it well be out on the 360 and PC before the PS3. Read More...
