Well some of it has been promised and one bit was to be able to play a story driven portion of the game surrounding Juli Kidman. That would be the protagonist's partner in the core story of The Evil Within. Well that DLC, title The Assignment, has been teased a bit and we have yet another tease for it only now we have a release month that we will be able to pick up The Evil Within and keep playing a bit more. Until Dawn Has A Different Kind Of Valentine's Day Massacre
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
A Valentine's Day trailer for Until Dawn has been released by Supermassive Games to show a lovely side Until Dawn may have Love is supposedly in the air as tomorrow is Valentine's Day so what better way to show your affection than by seeing a new trailer for Until Dawn. Love or Lust are always part of horror films and video games so why not see how Supermassive Games is going to set the stage so we can follow the horror movie rules when Until Dawn comes home sometime this year. It wouldn't be the classic horror story if we didn't have teens or early tweens trying to bump uglies and let's face it, Valentine's Day is truly all about that. I guess I am just trying to further make sense as to why this PS4 title needs a trailer on the day before V-day. Read More...

Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp Has Its…Well…Slasher Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of February 2015 - 10:01 PM ]
Horror legend Kane Hodder has joined up to be the killer in Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp to kind of reprise his role from films I feel bad for just now catching wind of Summer Camp and its early development. I blame titles like Last Year and Until Dawn for taking the spotlight in the realm of classic horror film style games and Summer Camp falling through my cracks when it was announced last October. Especially now that I know that this is more or less going to have Jason in it even though it won't be by name. We will have the ability to control the movements from the man who made that role so iconic in Summer Camp on the PS4, XB1, and PC so we can look past the fact that there is a Friday The 13th game in the works for now. The Five Ways Until Dawn Is Slated To Scare You To Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of January 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
In a recent interview for Until Dawn with one of the developers from Supermassive Games it was revealed the five strategies being used to scare you during the game Until Dawn is slated to be a playable horror film coming sometime, hopefully, later this year for the PS4. This we already know as Supermassive Games has done a great job at conveying that as well as began doling out new information like the blood that squirts out of a decapitated body. What they have not been so forth coming with, until now of course, has been how they are going to be giving us that horror movie feel but still be able to startle or disturb some of horror aficionados with Until Dawn. This is where the most recent interview mentioned above comes in. Read More...

A New Friday The 13th Game Is In The Works For 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
It's been announced that there is a new Friday The 13th title in the works from Crystal Lake Entertainment and an un-named developer Good news for us horror fans, maybe, as there is a new Friday The 13th video game in the works. This is to go hand in hand with the new TV show and film but hopefully will not be solely a tie-in for the franchise. Details are still sparse on it all since the news dropper "exclusively" on EGM Now but that does not mean we don't have at least the basics as we wait for the anything visual for this new Friday The 13th game. It's been over 25 years now since Jason graced our video games so it is high time and Crystal Lake Entertainment thinks they need to get piece of the gaming pie again. Read More...

Brawl Has An Update From Bloober Team…With Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 08:05 PM ]
Brawl, the re-built Basement Crawl, has an updated trailer for us to show how the developer has improved the PS4 title outside of changing the name Remember Basement Crawl from earlier this year? The creepy take on Bomberman… No? Well that makes sense as it was a title so poorly built that the developer Bloober Team asked everyone not to review it until the issues were fixed. Then the game was scrapped and re-branded as Brawl. Sounds more or less like they just shortened the title to combine the original title just as this version of the game contains the same core gameplay of Basement Crawl. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Until Dawn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Until Dawn In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. Here's My Take On The PS4 B-Movie Horror Game Last we saw Until Dawn was in a nice little teaser trailer and showcase at Gamescom in August. While it was all filmed using the game's engine it never really showed how Until Dawn would play out or handle once we had it in our hands. That is outside of playing out like a campy horror film of your and until the PlayStation Experience where the game was on hand for the lucky few of us to actually play. Here's how Until Dawn handled and pretty much where the game is at so far from Supermassive Games. Read More...

Last Year Turns The Slasher Flick Into A 5v1 Multiplayer Romp
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
The latest Kickstarter buzz title is Last Year which is an Asymmetrical Multiplayer Survival Horror title that lets a player be the killer Here we go with another Kickstarter project in the way of Last Year. It seems like these things are a dime a dozen as of late and unless some random person finds it amazing the campaign will most likely fail. Luckily for Last Year it looks like it has a gimmick that is all the rage with a mix of a bit of perceived originality. Screw Evolve's 4 versus 1 platform. Read More...

Looks Like We Have The Evil Within — The Movie
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of November 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A YouTuber has taken the time and care to pull all of the cut scenes and gameplay from The Evil Within to edit out a nice feature length horror film for us all The Evil Within was slated to bring us the most terrifying experience in video games to date. Some would claim that Bethesda and Tango Gameworks fell a bit short on that promise. For every one of those naysayers out there though there is at least one other gamer who has yet to try and make it through the whole game out of fear. I know at least three personal. Read More...

We Have Some More Gameplay For Alone In The Dark: Illumination
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of November 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Alone In The Dark: Illumination is out and showing off some new gameplay as the game's launch looms closer We first got wind of Alone In The Dark: Illumination a few months back and now we are in the proposed month of its PC and Steam release. Atari and Pure FPS were not messing around with getting this title up and running even though things have been on the quite side since the game was announced back on August 20th and we've had one real good look at it to date. I guess that can be on the positive side though as with horror games we need the surprises and shocks to feel fresh. It would just be nice to see how the actually game will play though; at least on a basic mechanic level. Read More...

Hopefully by now you've had a chance to experience Outlast on the Xbox One, PS4, or PC by now. If not then you may not get the excitement. Read More...

Meet The Evil Within's Maniac: The Sadist
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of October 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new video from Tango Gameworks has been release to show off the thought behind The Evil Within's chainsaw wielding maniac: The Sadist By now most of you have run into The Sadist in The Evil Within. That would be the chainsaw wielding maniac that even the Haunted are afraid of. Or, you know, the first chainsaw wielding maniac that you are forced to encounter at the beginning of The Evil Within. If you haven't run into him at all then you just haven't played The Evil Within yet or Bethesda and Tango Gameworks left some kind of huge bug in the game that allowed you to completely bypass this enemy. We'll assume the prior for now. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of October 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The latest trailer for The Evil Within has been released from Bethesda and is begging to be Let Out Today is the day that The Evil Within is released to the world. So far the reviews haven't been as shiny as I am guessing Bethesda and Tango Gameworks has wanted but I am still very optimistic for The Evil Within in the long run. So if you aren't playing the game then you have something else to see besides all of those out there hammering through The Evil Within via streaming video. Read More...
