Review — Copoka
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 7th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Copoka We sit down and review Copoka. A little bird in a big world. Here's our review of Copoka Sometimes it is nice to play a game and just relax and that is what I was able to do with Copoka. No worry about a convoluted story or high impact action where you stick behind a wall while explosions happen every ten seconds. Copoka was even marketed as a “mellow open world exploration game.” This game is pretty short, but is also the length it needs to be to remain enjoyable. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/31/17 — 8/4/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of August 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the bag and there was still so much we didn't get to. Even with it only being SDCC and Animazement being the big conventions that just happened there seems to still be a whole lot of new information and updates out there. More so with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Agents Of Mayhem, and Observer all just about to release next week and massive info dumps for all of those video games adding on to all of the other things. There is still much more we have to bring you from the conventions that will pick up next week as long as things don't go completely off the rails out there for it all. Read More...

Life Is Strange: Before The Storm Is Showing Just How The Riff For Chloe & David Started
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new Life Is Strange: Before The Storm trailer is out now and it shows just how some of Life Is Strange's characters started to hate each other more If you've played Life Is Strange already then you know well about the strained relationship between Chloe and her "new step-douche" David. There is no denying the level of animosity between the two characters and in the new "expansion" that Deck Nine Games is bringing to us all on August 31st we are going to see just a bit more on how all of that grew to where we saw it last. Did any of us think that it all was going to start out well in Life Is Strange: Before The Storm or just be the usual "new man" in mom's life that step-parents usually go through. Read More...

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Takes Us To Roswell & All That Comes With That
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein A lot of new gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has been released and we get to see Wolfenstein's take on Roswell and all the aliens there If there is one thing, we have not been in a drought of gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. It almost seems like we can't go a full week without some new bit of gameplay for the game getting placed out to excite and titillate. It's almost like Machine Games doesn't want there to be any surprises when Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on October 27th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Then again, this could just be faith in the project that Bethesda has so that we can get almost an hour more of gameplay and still have so much yet to be seen and experienced in the full game. Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence. This is the first episode of Telltale's second take on Mojang's famed Minecraft franchise. Here's our review on how they did It's time to kick off yet another season for Minecraft: Story Mode as the first episode has dropped on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices with it coming soon to the Switch. All of this is something you should have known by now, but none the less Telltale Games is back at it trying to give us a great story set in the universe that Mojang has crafted that only has stories if we so define them. At least that has always been my takeaway for Minecraft before now and enjoy seeing it through the lens of another. Read More...

The Walking Dead Is Getting A Fourth & Final Season Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead During SDCC it was revealed that The Walking Dead from Telltale will be getting one more season to wrap up The Walking Dead story we've been waiting for There was a lot of good news to come out of SDCC this year but what we have here is a mix of good and bad as The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been announced to be in the works and heading to us sometime in 2018. Obviously we can see the good news here as we will get to see Clementine back in action and dig into some of the best storytelling that Telltale Games can offer, but it also means that all of this will be coming to an end here. I'm going to go on a limb and guess this is due to the fact that The Walking Dead is over saturating the market with all of the other titles they have coming out there, but it could just be that the team wants to move on to other things or maybe other aspects of the universe. Night Trap's 25th Anniversary Version Now Has A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Night Trap The release date for Night Trap, the 25th anniversary version, has been set and is bringing some extra Night Trap features never before played It's seems that the re-release of Night Trap only missed the initial release window by a short time, but now we know that if you are looking for the game on the PS4 and PC you can look toward August 15th now to get your hands on some of that sweat "retro" gaming action. It may not be retro in the way you all normally think, Screaming Villains are bringing it all back from the '90s for us and it falls into the category there. Even if Night Trap was all FMV and non-sprite based. Read More...

Batman: The Enemy Within Has Been Announced & Coming Next Week
by Julia Schoebel [ Monday, 31st of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Batman During SDCC Batman: The Enemy Within has been announced and will continue the story that Batman: The Telltale Series started for us all So many things received the announcement out at SDCC and it sucks that Batman: The Enemy Within fell through the cracks over here. Especially given that the first episode is set to drop on August 8th next week and the fact that this IP has been one of the better ones in Telltale Games' basket for a while now. At least it has been for me and I have been wanting more of this Batman for quite some time now that the season ended for the other one. I just want to see where it all goes and how all of the choices will alter this brave new world for the character and all of the villains I made or took down over the course of it all. Read More...

Get To Know More Of Chloe & Rachel's Story Before Life Is Strange: Before The Storm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of July 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new behind the scenes video for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm is here to give some insight on the story for these two Life Is Strange characters before launch In a month, August 31st, we will get our first episode for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm and we've seen some fun stuff for it so far. At least enough to see that Deck Nine Games is going to be telling a prequel of sorts from the last title and that it won't feature the same protagonist and the super time-bending powers. It will feature a few of the others from the Life Is Strange universe for sure but he we are going to see a lot more on the side of things for Chloe and Rachel more than anything. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/24/17 — 7/28/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of July 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was totally a recovery week in video games for us over here and the industry in whole. Two of the bigger cons for the industry have now wrapped and we have a few more off in the near future and here we site continuing the coverage out of both of those major events. That's not to say that is all we have to cover for video games as we did get to see a whole lot more for Hellblade this week as we head toward the release date for that, but of course there was still a lot from Call Of Duty, Wolfenstein II, and Marvel Vs Capcom fresh out of SDCC and there is still plenty more to come. This is always the best time of year for video games in terms of news and updates. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of July 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty The Nazi Zombies mode for Call Of Duty: WWII was fully shown off at SDCC and a whole lot of new Call Of Duty: WWII information came with it Unless you've been hiding under a rock and skipped all of the Call Of Duty: WWII news from last week, then you most likely saw the officially announcement of the Nazi Zombies mode that will be coming to the game when it launches on November 3rd. The trailer was leaked and Sledgehammer Games asked everyone to wait for the official reveal. Then Activision started to tease out the voices and likenesses for the mode all to lead up to the official panel during SDCC. Read More...

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus' Milkshake Brings The Nazis To The Yard
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein New gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has dropped with more tension & we have a look at Wolfenstein II's Season Pass I hope you are ready for another massive drop of footage and fun for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. I know I am and that is just about what Machine Games has given us all over the place with a lot of new gameplay and the announcement of a Season Pass worth of DLC that we can pick up now in preparation for the October 27th release on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. To top even more of the fun off for Wolfenstein II we even have a massive amount of gameplay that looks to show off a good portion of the first mission in the game and just how it all picks up right after the last title Bethesda brought us. Like I said, all kinds of fun and good stuff to look at and dissect out there. Read More...

It Is Time To Look Under The Mask For The Upcoming Spider-Man Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Spider-Man A new behind the scenes video for the next Spider-Man game has been released and it shows us more of the kind of Spider-Man we will get to play Another huge title that we are all anxiously waiting for is Spider-Man and after a great showing at E3 this year, it looks like there was a little more to be handed out but saved for D23. That is at least that Insomniac Games was able to show the world a bit more of the behind the scenes look of the game during that event and also dive into a little more of the story on where we are in the game. We already knew that this wasn't going to be a Spider-Man origin story nor a game that tied into the most recent film, but it does seem like there is a bit to it all in the end. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/10/17 — 7/14/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of July 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the bag yet again. All with another all over the place kind of feel to it, but at least we were not all just sitting around wondering what is going on with a lot of our games and twiddling our thumbs. Not that we wouldn't have been out there playing with Sub Zero in Injustice 2 or getting ready for the next Mafia 3 expansion. Even if those where not on your list of video games to play, there is all kind of things to get ready for as we head toward SDCC and have many things for Call Of Duty: WWII to look for as well as Shadow Of War to prep for.
