This Week In Video Games 2/23/15 — 2/27/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 28th of February 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's week like this in the video game industry that makes sites like ours look like video game fan sites instead. By that I mean when one or two titles dominate the news for the week to the point where almost everything written and covered is on only those titles. This week Mortal Kombat X, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Final Fantasy XV did just that to us as they had so much going on to cover for the week. Those three pretty much took up 50% of the video game news on our site here. Read More...

There Are Hidden Codes In Batman: Arkham Knight's Recent Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of February 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
There were hidden codes in the recent Batman: Arkham Knight trailer that led to more clues and then to full character bios from Rocksteady Thank the gods for the internet as we all may have missed some things in the latest Batman: Arkham Knight trailer from earlier this week. Apparently, I've still yet to see them, there were hidden codes spliced into the trailer that sparked a whole lot on conversation and inevitably some cool answers; we'll talk about those later. These codes, trailer, and new additions to the Batman: Arkham Knight website all cropped up at the same time. The new additions being three locations that required a password to get in. Read More...

The Evil Within's First DLC Now Has A Solid Release Date Assigned
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2015 - 08:02 PM ]
The Assignment DLC for The Evil Within has been given a new trailer and an official release date for all of us wanting more horror in our lives We were teased last week with the release month for The Evil Within's first DLC pack from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda. Why we had a tease just over a week before the official announcement date and full trailer is beyond me. None the less it looks like that DLC for The Evil Within, titled The Assignment, is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Steam on March 10th. Not much of a shocker there but that is the official date for all of those Season Pass owners or pick and choose DLC downloaders. Read More...

Gotham Is Up For Grabs In The Latest Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
A new Batman: Arkham Knight trailer is out and it shows off more villains as well as how dark the game is going to be landing the M rating If you were wondering even more about that M for Mature rating that Batman: Arkham Knight is going to be hit with then man do we have an insane new trailer to show you for the game. Rocksteady isn't messing around when they state that this is going to be the Batman title to wrap up their franchise as well as have a dark story. Just the rules that are laid out by the Scarecrow in the below trailer kind of dictates that Gotham is going to be something akin to the world in The Walking Dead with little to no rules and "might is right. Batman: Arkham Knight May Be Too Mature For Some Gamers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Batman: Arkham Knight has received an M for Mature rating from the ERSB surprising Rocksteady but not stopping the game from its course If you are under the age of 17 and have parents that pay attention to you then you may not be playing Batman: Arkham Knight as it has received an M rating by the ERSB. This news comes from Rocksteady directly so this isn't some random musing or news from scouring through the huge DB that the ERSB has for all of the titles it has rated. I am sure it is there but none the less this is coming from the horse's mouth so to say. Read More...

The Evil Within is getting its first bit of DLC, The Assignment, sometime in March and we have a teaser for it The Evil Within has been out for around four months now and people have ponied up the extra cash to have the season pass for any and all DLC that could be coming. Well some of it has been promised and one bit was to be able to play a story driven portion of the game surrounding Juli Kidman. That would be the protagonist's partner in the core story of The Evil Within. Well that DLC, title The Assignment, has been teased a bit and we have yet another tease for it only now we have a release month that we will be able to pick up The Evil Within and keep playing a bit more. This Week In Video Games 2/9/15 — 2/13/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 14th of February 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Way to wrap a week in video games on a high not right? With Valentine's Day tomorrow I was expecting things to be very slow and filled with the normal PR bullshit that game developers and publishers send out. You know those little images and quick videos to show how much they supposedly care outside of just wanting our money. 2K was doing is all week for Borderlands. Instead of just all of that though we ended with a nice new Valentine's Day trailer for Until Dawn and some cool Mortal Kombat news. Read More...

Darksiders 2 & Other Nordic Games Titles May Be Going Next Gen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of February 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
New listings on Amazon show a Darksiders 2 Definitive edition as well as a few other Nordic Games titles coming to the PS4 and Xbox One I'd start by saying that the Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition for the PS4 and Xbox One was a rumor except that as of this time Amazon Still has the page live for pre-order from Nordic Games. So pretty much we can expect to see Death gracing our next gen systems sometime this year after being remastered by Nordic Games. Some may scoff at the idea of another "remaster" title coming out instead of a brand new IP but Darksiders 2 was a title that I personally think everyone should play and very few did so on the PS3 and Xbox 360 so here is a chance to remedy that gamers. Until Dawn Has A Different Kind Of Valentine's Day Massacre
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
A Valentine's Day trailer for Until Dawn has been released by Supermassive Games to show a lovely side Until Dawn may have Love is supposedly in the air as tomorrow is Valentine's Day so what better way to show your affection than by seeing a new trailer for Until Dawn. Love or Lust are always part of horror films and video games so why not see how Supermassive Games is going to set the stage so we can follow the horror movie rules when Until Dawn comes home sometime this year. It wouldn't be the classic horror story if we didn't have teens or early tweens trying to bump uglies and let's face it, Valentine's Day is truly all about that. I guess I am just trying to further make sense as to why this PS4 title needs a trailer on the day before V-day. Read More...

Watch The Shiftlings Orientation Video & Don't Get F.I.R.E.D.
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of February 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Shiftlings has been released and it shows off a few of the ways that you will die or fail the mission ahead Look at that. We have a new trailer for that quirky little platforming title called Shiftlings from Sierra and Rock Pocket Games. We first saw something along the PS4 and Xbox One version of Shiftlings about a month ago now. This is that little space "reality TV" show game where you and your buddy are connected via a tube and forced to shrink and expand to move around the puzzling levels. Go back and see what I am talking about because we are ever moving forward and that is what we are going to do here for Shiftlings. Read More...

Bethesda Is Hosting Their Own E3 Conference
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Bethesda announced today that they will be holding their own press conference at E3 2015 but with no details about what will be shown It looks like Bethesda wants in on all of the E3 fun of hosting their own press conference as the publisher just announced on their blog that they would be doing just that. No longer will they be held to just a booth and a kick-ass off site party/get-together at E3. They will be taking a stage and showing off what they have in the works for the coming years and most likely announcing a few things we all may have been wanting for a while. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 2/2/15 — 2/6/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 7th of February 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Well that was a fun and stressful week for video games and for us. It may look like we favored the same small group of games all week but in all honesty Mortal Kombat X, Game Of Thrones, and Dying Light just had so much to cover. Hells we even had three reviews this week and two of them were in that short list you just read. Nothing like being able to keep us all up to date on titles that are currently out there hoping to win over the collective and ever black hearts of us gamers huh? Read More...

Review: Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of February 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on HBO's famed TV franchise. Here's our review on how they've done so far The release of Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords has come and now we have Telltale's second episode for the six part story that links into the TV Show from HBO. The first episode was a bit on the slow side and stayed safe with all of the standards that have been set up via Telltale's normal storytelling structure but did this episode follow suit? Or did The Lost Lords break free of the iron bonds and give us something really new to experience with Game Of Thrones? Read More...
