Control Will Be Using Some New Tech For Better Immersion
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of August 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Control A new video for Control is here and it shows us how the game will leverage some new tech from NVidia to make the world of Control feel ‘realer’ We are still waiting for some new gameplay details for Control and what we have here is not much in the way of that. What we do have here today is a small look at how Remedy will be using some new technology to help further the realism of the game's world and in turn increase the immersion of it all. At least that is the hope and it does look like they are on their way to do that with Control given the new ray-tracing and illumination effects we have to look at here. At least on the PC side of it all as there is no word on how this will translate over to the PS4 and Xbox One side of things, if at all. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of August 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Control The next developer diary for Control is here to show us the Oldest House and headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control Here we go with the next developer diary for Control and this one takes us deeper into The Oldest House of the game. This would be the headquarters of the main organization we will be in charge of in the game as well as the location for the game. We have heard and seen a bit of it from Remedy in the past, but this time we get to know it a bit better and also see more than we have seen in the public before. Not much more, but it is a slight bit more of Control to look at as we learn more about the location that is part of a lot of other Sci-Fi buildings and constructs from the past. Read More...

More Of The “New Weird” Will Be Introduced In Control’s Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Control The first developer diary for Control is here to explain how the team went about constructing the world and story of Control So far, what has been shown for Control has been impressive and it looks like we could be getting ready for another great hit from Remedy. It does seem to tick off a lot of what we all have come to expect from the developer and now that their title will be coming to the PS4 on top of the Xbox One and PC, it looks like it could all be more promising for the team to do well. All that needs to happen now is to make sure that the world and story of Control work just as well as the mechanics and we are all golden for a nice new franchise to pine over. Not the loftiest of demands, but it is all something that we are all waiting for to find out the full details. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — Control
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Control While at E3, I was able to see Control in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Control. Another of the interesting titles that we saw get the reveal out at this year's E3 was Control from Remedy. It came at us all with a weird and unusual trailer, as was to be expected, and made a huge splash during the Sony conference where 505 Games opted to show it all off to the world. Maybe to hit home that their game was going to be on all platforms here or just the right place to unleash Control to the world. Either way, it was announced and slated to hit us in 2019 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of March 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Scavengers A new survival shooter, Scavengers, has been revealed and will be using some new technology to keep Scavengers’ AI ahead of the curve Get ready to add another survival title into the mix as Scavengers has been announced and coming from Midwinter Entertainment. It will be their flagship title and will be hopefully making some big pushes for the gaming industry in terms of multiplayer survival shooters out there. Yes, that is the basics of Scavengers, but there is of course much more coming for it all. Like the fact that it will take place in a not-too-distant future where a new Ice Age has come and a new mutated disease is messing with all of the world's life. Read More...

Review — High Noon VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of January 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
High Noon We sit down and review High Noon VR. An old-west shooting gallery in a VR setting. Here is our review of High Noon VR When it comes to VR one of the staple genres that come to mind are the shooter or shooting gallery style game and this is where we find High Noon VR in the mix of it all. It is a bit more than just that out of the gate, but that is about the basics to get us all started here with Octobox Interactive's VR title that hit the PC through various means here not so long ago. Just like other platforms in the past, they needed something to fill a need and that is just what this game is aiming, pun intended, to do. Read More...

New Pre-Alpha Gameplay For Dead Dozen Has Shambled Out To Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of December 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Dead Dozen Hot off the official announcement of Dead Dozen, we have some new pre-alpha gameplay to look at and see just what we could be getting ourselves into with Dead Dozen Back in November, we had a nice little tease for an upcoming title called Dead Dozen. More or less it looked like another Zombie Shooter coming from Fntastic Entertainment and had very little to go on outside of the eleven versus one style of gameplay it was going to have. One player would spawn in as the "ghoul" in the match and the other eleven would be survivors who needed to barricade themselves in a building and survive the onslaught of the ghoul. Obviously, there is a bit more to Dead Dozen than that, but this was all that we had from before and things were looking grim as the world it is set in. Read More...

Little Nightmares Is Getting A New ‘Complete Edition’ Of The Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of September 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Little Nightmares It seems that Little Nightmares has done so well that we are all in need of a complete edition of Little Nightmares that is now coming in October Earlier this year we were all treated to a nice little game called Little Nightmares. Well, at least you had the chance to treat yourself to the game if it looked to fit into your particular interests. It was a dark adventure game from Tarsier Studios that caught a lot of great attention and fared rather well among all of the critics out there back in April. It looks like Little Nightmares fared so well that now on October 27th Bandai Namco is bringing the game back to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in a new form with the Complete Edition of the game. It Looks Like There Is Some New Fallout Speculation Out There
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 11th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Fallout Things out in the rumor mill about Fallout are pointing to Bethesda announcing a new open-world Fallout game at E3 this year Sometimes it’s cool to wonder and speculate. When Bethesda did their first big E3 press conference they unveiled the long anticipated Fallout 4 in a mighty fine fashion. I was just as surprised to see them making it an annual thing with BE3 2017 confirmed just a few months ago. Now I wouldn’t expect them to keep showing up unless they have something huge coming. Review — She Remembered Caterpillars
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 10th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
She Remembered Caterpillars We sit down and review She Remembered Caterpillars. Beautiful, but lacking in fun. Here's our review of She Remembered Caterpillars She Remembered Caterpillars is an indie puzzle game that was released at the beginning of the year that I only recently discovered. It is developed Jumpsuit Entertainment, a small German team, and as far as I can see this is the team's first game together. I felt like it could do with a review. The gameplay for She Remembered Caterpillars isn’t anything special. Read More...
