Final Fantasy XIII And Lady Bad Luck

Don't Panic! I've always wanted to start off with that. But as it says, don't panic. There has not been an announcement of a delay, set back or some other event to hindering Final Fantasy XIII from dropping on time. It is just a reference from the new trailer below. For once the characters of the story actually see how everything is happening in a string of bad luck. Now, if only they could reference the horrible voice acting that seems to be plaguing this new trailer. CES 2010: BioShock 2 Multiplayer

At this year's CES in Las Vegas, NV there was loads to show off in terms of hardware. At least as gaming consoles and gaming computers go. But what about some of the software that was shown for all of us gamers? Like a real hands on with the multiplayer of BioShock 2. Not just spiffy videos. Well this was one of the games that was being showcased for all who attended and found there way out to the IGN and Sprint trucks hidden in front of the convention. Let me start off, as I usually do when it comes to multiplayer, not a big fan of it. CES 2010: Sixense Takes Motion Control to Next Level

Of all the new technology seen at the Consumer Electronics Show this year, the Sixense TrueMotion motion control system was one of the finest on display. Sixense had partnered with Razer the month prior and the established gaming peripheral maker wanted to show off the new goods. Demonstrated on a PC, the sleek black units had much to brag about.The system consists of two black wands and a small tower. The wands have a directional pad and a few action buttons on the face, and while there is a feeling of weight to the device, it is lighter than a Wii wand. Read More...

Tom Clancy & Friends On Demand

It looks like the two games next up for the Games on Demand treatment are, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and Kane&Lynch: Dead Men. I find it funny that with both game descriptions they more or less end with "no refunds are available for this item." It adds a deeper level to the game description for some reason. I'm a Star Wars fan. and I'm also a huge MMO fan. So since the announcement of Star Wars the Old Republic the MMO, I have been digging and watching everything I can to get anything I can about this game.EA CEO John Riccitiello had a conference call and a press release to update their future fiscal prospect in 2010 yesterday (numbers, numbers, blah, blah, blah). Aggrocast Episode Fifty Six: CES Wrap-Up

In an odd turn of events they start with Day 4 and what Binh caught as the show closed (Wii sniper rifle); then they moved onto Day 2 including a recreation of events that you would normally see here, a visit with Capcom and a "celebrity" sighting. CES 2010 Impression: Psyko 5.1

Psyko Audio may not be the first to release a 5.1 headset and they certainly will not be the last, but Psyko 5.1 was named one of the CES best of 2009. Does this new headset deserve such a title? Well I decided to give them a visit while I am here at CES 2010 and see how well the headphones are shaping up. I met up with James Hildebrandt, CEO and Head of Psyko Audio, and he gave me the rundown on the headset. Here at CES 2010, we had the opportunity to stop by and visit with Tritton Technologies to see the "next big thing" in gaming headsets. Tritton's Aaron Smith took us around the booth giving us a guided tour of the AX-180, AX-720 and the AX-Pro. He was kind enough to suffer through our questions and a video recording. The did not have their upcoming release of a wireless version of the AX-180 at this show, but look for it at PAX East. CES 2010: nVidia Press Conference

As CES 2010 is now under way, so are the many news and notes that are coming out of the convention. The first event that Brian and I went to was the nVidia Press Conference. As we went to sit down we were given 3D glasses for a part of the conference. As the wait finally ended and the music started to kick into high gear, so did the montage that nVidia put together. The montage began with video games and movies but wasn't in 3D yet. After the montage was over, the President of nVidia, Jen-Hsun Huang came out and talked about not only the evolution of desktop PC (personal computers) but also the evolution of portable PC in general. Review: Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks

Though Spirit Tracks is far from innovative, it boasts enough improvement in gameplay and graphics over Legend of Zelda’s previous release on the Nintendo DS, Phantom Hourglass, to insure its success. Not every game has to be groundbreaking to entertain its audience. Spirit Tracks takes fans of the Zelda franchise into another quest to save Hyrule – this time with Zelda’s spirit accompanying and assisting Link along the way.The story, including why you need to visit the Tower of Spirits, is not particularly innovative, but it has a certain amount of charm. A few generations after the adventure of Link and Tetra in Phantom Hourglass, peace reigns in Hyrule with Princess Zelda ruling. Read More...

Dark Void Demo Impressions

The sci-fi action-adventure Dark Void demo has dropped today for the Xbox 360 and will be following on the PSN tomorrow. With the demo you get the chance to take that jetpack for a spin, and engage in some aerial and on-foot combat. It is supposed to serve to wet the appetite for the games' January 19th release date. With some unique gameplay elements like vertical cover, I've been looking forward to taking this title for a test drive.The press release speaks with some glowing words of course, "With the launch of Capcom’s sci-fi shooter, Dark Void, right around the corner, Capcom is giving gamers a chance to test drive the void for themselves this week with a downloadable demo coming to Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. EA shutting down multiple online servers

Below is a list of games that will no longer have multiplayer support as of February this year. EA says you can play these titles up until the actual shutdown date. Community programs could shut down earlier, depending on circumstances. A little surprise for you football buffs, Madden 09 is on this list for a February 9th shut down date. What does that mean, that means you're gonna have to shell out some cash for Madden 10 if you want to get online and get your fix.Be sure to note which platforms are being shut down, not all titles are being shut down on all platforms, so make sure you take a good look as to which platforms will no longer be available.
