E3 2012 Hands On: Resident Evil 6

Before I get in depth here for what I got to see and play for Resident Evil 6 I have to start off that this whole display was split more into two different parts. So that is kind of how I will break this down. The first part was focused more on the action and cross-story play and co-op of the campaign while the second part was some good old fashioned hands on time with a bit of Leon's story. Resident Evil 6's Release Date Pushed Forward

It's not often that something like this happens, but it looks like we will be getting Resident Evil 6 over a month earlier than originally announced. Not only that, but recently at Captivate we also got a whole slew of new visuals and a bit more on the story of the game. Don't believe me? That's One Brutal Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Trailer!

So, I just finished watching the new "Brutal" Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City trailer and it has sparked my imagination, surprisingly. I want to know what was the most brutal, misanthropic, hellish and death splattered concrete path you've ever taken in a video game. Did you sit in front of a grunt in Halo and cackle maniacally as you emptied clip after clip of assault rifle ammo into its lifeless corpse and watch your frame rate drop hysterically due to the massive amounts of blood? Resident Evil 6 Officially Announced Now

So there were loads of rumors yesterday and today that Capcom was working up to the announcement of Resident Evil 6. I'm talking a lot. All of them pointing at some kind of announcement that was to be made today (1/19/12). For some reason no one could wait patiently 24 hours; not even some GameStop who thought they would ruin things. Asura's Wrath Demo Is Out Now

Have you guys tried the demo to Asura's Wrath yet? If not, what are you waiting for? This new IP from Cyber Connect 2 and Capcom features some of the most epic fights I've seen in my life thus far. The demo only features two levels early on in the game, but holy crap they are intense. The first boss fight pits you against a gigantic stone god that resembles a bit like Buddha; words are exchanged and a flood of quick time and button mashing events ensue that are sure to get your heart rate skyrocketing. After falcon-punching this god's face a few dozen times, he apparently activates his beast mode and jumps up into the sky. Next we encounter this boss, he has grown - a lot. Read More...

Trailer Park (11/1/11)

Alright it's time for the next installment to "Trailer Park". This time I have a few new trailers lined up for you guys. I hope you all enjoy. Our first trailer today is a new "grind house style" trailer for Grasshopper Manufacture's new game: Lollipop Chainsaw. The trailer features the cliché grind house voice over guy and a scantily clad cheerleader named "Juliet Starling" who just happens to be the main character. Lollipop Chainsaw follows Juliet and her family as they fight off hordes of mindless zombies in her high school. The horde of zombies are controlled by a group of "rock and roll" zombies. Capcom Taking A Shot At God Of War With Asura's Wrath?

I get that by now it is hard to do an action game without getting the "It's Like [Insert Name]..." tagged to it, but Asura's Wrath seems to not care. Not care to the point where the basic story of the game is thus. Once a revered deity, Asura was betrayed by his fellow gods and stripped of all his powers. Consumed by anger at the injustice he has suffered and swearing vengeance, Asura discovers he can use this fury to his advantage and turn it against his enemies. Command Come In... New Operation Raccoon City Game Play Trailer

It is in and it makes Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City look like a load of fun. The trailer also makes all of the screen shots look like there were originally working it out for the Wii. Granted, there are a lot of pre-rendered scenes in the trailer, but if you look fast, you can see the game play mixed in. Finally We Get To Play As Umbrella In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

So it would seem just like Resident Evil 4, Capcom is looking for another way to package its older titles for us all to purchase again. Only this time it is RE2 and RE3…but from the point of view of Umbrella. Now this could be a little interesting, minus the fact that you should be destined to lose from the start. Yet Another Version Of Resident Evil 4 For Us To Buy

Good news for you Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X fans out there who enjoy purchasing every version of the titles possible. Just announced is a new HD version for both titles that will be coming to XBox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network sometime this fall. Just in case you felt like you missed out after playing them before with lower resolution graphics and audio. As of right now, there is no mention of price, but there is one bit of info out there. That being Resident Evil 4 will have the "Separate Ways" epilogue and Trophy/Achievement support. Read More...

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Has Finally Launched...

Silver Surfer In Marvel Vs. Capcom 3?

Ok, well not really the Silver Surfer himself in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 but what looks an awful lot like Galactus has turned the "Villains" of the game into "Heralds" of some sort. I mean if you watch the trailer and look at the screen shots below you get to see "Silver" Wesker, Dr Doom, Dormammu and Akuma do everything the planet eater asks of them. In this case it looks like they are asked to be the first wave of attack against which ever hero team you have brought to stop Galactus from eating the Earth. Oh, and I guess this also kills the "rumor" that Galactus is going to be in the game as well, but that is just a small bullet point here. Read More...

Shadow Boxing In Marvel Vs Capcom 3?

Ok, so here is a nice little twist to things on the MvC3 front. It looks like there is a bit more DLC already planned after launch of the game. This DLC won't be new characters, but it will bring new challengers to the table. New challengers in the form of a Shadow Mode for the game. What is Shadow Mode? It is a way that Capcom can allow users at home to download AI opponents programmed after the techniques and preferences of Capcom's development staff and famous players from the fighting game scene. So you can technically practice without leaving your gaming chair nor have to invite these people over or wait for their time to be free enough to play online against you. Read More...

Here Comes The DLC For Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

It has been announced that Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath were coming to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 as DLC for a short while now, but how are they going to look? Well I am sure your eyes have already drifted south for a second to see that we have a slew of new screen shots showcasing what you can expect the two new characters to look like and a bit of fight like. I for one am glad that they decided to go with the new Jill over the older Jill from MvC2. It kind of makes me feel like I can play as Samus as well as Jill in the game. Read More...
