This Week In Video Games 12/11/17 — 12/15/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 16th of December 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games down for the year and only a few more to go. So much we all want to know out there and so much that the developers and publishers just will not give us. At least not give us so we do not spoil any of those video games out there. God Of War and Far Cry 5 could become unplayable if we had everything spoiled for us right out of the gate. Read More...

The Shadow Of The Colossus Remake Has Gone A Long Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of December 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Shadow Of The Colossus We have a new comparison video for Shadow Of The Colossus to show just how much work the remaster of Shadow Of The Colossus has been given More footage for Shadow Of The Colossus has been placed out there and placed out there to make sure that we all know how much work Bluepoint Games has put into making this the best version of the game to date. That would have always been the assumption for a remake or a remaster of any game, but now we get to see it all with our own eyes. That and we get to see just how Shadow Of The Colossus truly looked back on the PS2 and PS3 days there and then long for the day that it hits the PS4. Read More...

Overkill’s The Walking Dead Introduces Us To Aidan & The Game Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of December 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead New updates for Overkill’s The Walking Dead are finally here and we get a taste of what life in this FPS set in The Walking Dead universe will feel It has been quite some time that we had any updates for Overkill’s The Walking Dead title that we heard about back in 2015. It is still in the works and Starbreeze with 505 Games is still bringing it to us on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All of that and Overkill is still working hard on it and is finally ready to show off more of their take on The Walking Dead universe. All in a cinematic way, but given that the game is now slated for Fall of 2018, we still have some time to get all of those extra details and bit of gameplay to get us all excited for this game. Another Portal Game Is Kind Of Coming With Bridge Constructor Portal
by Duke Searles [ Wednesday, 6th of December 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Portal Get ready to use those Portal guns again as it looks like that franchise has crossed with another to bring us Bridge Constructor Portal It has been a while since we had anything truly new for the Portal franchise in terms of a full game. It is crazy to think that it has been six years since the last full entry into the IP and at most, we have had little links back and forth with characters, items, and Easter Eggs to entice us all a bit more. If you are like me, you are sitting there hoping for a full new title into the franchise, but for now we are going to have to sit and take games like what Headup Games has for us here. Now we have Bridge Constructor Portal to look at and get another taste of the IP through their other game's mechanics but with all the fun GlaDOS and Aperture bring to the world. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of December 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Shadow Of The Colossus Have a look at the intro for Shadow Of The Colossus' new remake and see just how this one will be superior to the original Shadow Of The Colossus If there is one title we are going to hear a whole lot of out of PSX or in the coming months, it is Shadow Of The Colossus' remake. Seeing as February 6th is so close and the huge event is taking place next week, it makes perfect sense that Bluepoint Games will be showing off all kinds of new gameplay to get us all riled up. Seeing as this will be a fully next-gen version of Shadow Of The Colossus and not just a remasters, there is a solid reason to keep an eye and that is what we have here with the latest intro for the game. The Walking Dead Collection Is Getting All Graphical
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of November 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Have a look at how The Walking Dead is getting some improved graphics for the upcoming The Walking Dead Collection next week It has not been a huge secret that the PS4 and Xbox One were going to be getting The Walking Dead Collection here soon. Seeing as December 5th is right around the corner and that is the day that Telltale Games is going to push it out there, I guess it is high time that we talk about it all. For those who may have missed out on it all, this is the nice big bundle that houses all 19 episodes of The Walking Dead that the studio has put out there. It is crazy to think that we have had that many forays into that universe so far and we still have one more to go sometime in 2018. Read More...

Noctis Unsurprisingly Joins The Roster For Dissidia Final Fantasy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of November 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy Noctis joins the fight in Dissidia Final Fantasy and we get another Final Fantasy stage added in from one of the more classic titles Even though Dissidia Final Fantasy hit arcades a few years ago, it looks like there are always new characters getting added in from the expanding worlds that Square Enix is putting out there. While we still have a bit of time until we see it on the PS4 on January 30th of 2018, it does look like the fighting roster will keep getting those expansions from Team Ninja. Especially now that we can see that Noctis will be joining in from Final Fantasy XV. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 11/20/17 — 11/24/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 25th of November 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Thus concludes yet another week in video games here. A bit of an off week, but still a pretty solid one if you were not mixed up in all of the US Thanksgiving stuff or the horrible holiday to consumerism. Although there was a lot to be had in terms of video games for all of that and with Shadow Of War and Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite already out there, you could have seen more reasons to pick them up for a lower price. Or just to finally sit back and give Hellblade or Street Fighter V some more time in between dinner plates. Read More...

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Is Performing Better Than Many Expected
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of November 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Hellblade In the first three months Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has outperformed than the team expected and Hellblade shows little sign of stopping Word has officially broken that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has crossed the five-hundred thousand sold mark and is well into making a solid profit for Ninja Theory's small team. This is not news that we normally cover here on the site, but this is kind of a bigger deal for gaming in general and not just the coffers of this one developer. It is a sign that even a small team of about twenty can make a title that can meet and then exceed expectations in a short amount of time and not require a whole lot of "fluff" to do so. Read More...

The Slaughter Tribe Is Ready To Feast In Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of November 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War The Slaughter Tribe for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is here to join in the fight and you can get a taste of what they will add to Shadow Of War here Yesterday we all caught wind of the new and free updates coming to Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War today (11/21/17). All of that should be rolling out there as soon as the respective stores for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC get all of those things updated for us. We would be remiss though if we left out the other DLC that Monolith Productions has for us here with the addition of the Slaughter Tribe into the mix of it all. This is paid DLC for Shadow Of War, so it may not resonate with all of you out there, but it is one more tribe that will be mixed into the Nemesis System for us and needs to be shown off. Take To The Sky With New Gameplay For The New Title
by Duke Searles [ Friday, 17th of November 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Sky We have some new gameplay for Sky to look at and see how Sky will be the same but different from the dev's other titles out there It has been a bit since we all first heard about ThatGameCompany's upcoming title Sky or at least saw any gameplay for the iOS title. A few months at this point, but now we are back to see some new footage for the game as well as have some of the developer's commentary on just what is going on in the game. We already knew that there would be a social aspect to it all as well as the ability to fly around the world, but here we get to see just how some of that plays into the larger side of Sky at the end of the day. It also looks like Light and Darkness will play into the core of it all as well which is something we have not seen until now. Read More...
