With us coming out of beta, members will now be allowed to redeem the Pwned Points they accumulate by using the site. The Desert Bus for hope
by Cameron [ Wednesday, 3rd of December 2008 - 09:54 PM ]
The Guys at LoadingReadyRun are doing it again. They are playing the infamous Desert Bus game as long as they can for charity.  Supported by Geoff from Pure Pwnage, Felicia Day from "The Guild", Will Wheaton from Star Trek The Next Generation, and Tycho from Penny-Arcade the boys (and some girls I'm assuming) are playing the game Desert Bud for as long as they can. The more you donate the longer they play the mind numbing game. At the time of writing they have managed to raise nearly 60 thousand dollars. Read More...

Left 4 Dead Demo Free 4 Everyone *Updated*
by Sam [ Wednesday, 12th of November 2008 - 06:16 PM ]
The PC demo for Valve's upcoming survivor horror game Left 4 Dead is now available for download without putting down a pre-order like in the 360 version. I haven't got a chance to try, or even download it yet. Hell I don't even know if my computer will run it. It seems worthy of trying, seeing all the good things I've been hearing about it.     UPDATE: They released the demo free for the 360 in the marketplace. Just downloaded it this afternoon. Opening Five Minutes Of Left 4 Dead So after seeing the beginning ads and teaser stuff we were running on pwned for a while, I've kept a close eye on this game. Each time I see more, the more this game can't come sooner. After watch the opening five minutes here, my anticipation for this game is coming to an all time high. I'm just glad that I have some other games to keep me going until then. But now that my little bit has been said, I like to indulge myself, here's what's up with this video. Read More...

Soul Calibur IV DLC
by Jesse [ Friday, 24th of October 2008 - 04:23 AM ]
This week the rumors have finally come to pass. Both Darth Vader and Yoda who were originally released as “console exclusive characters” have been made available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Sadly the price seems a little steep as Vader who first made his appearance on the PS3 is know downloadable on the 360 for the cost of 400 Microsoft points (or $5.00) and Yoda who appeared on the 360 can be downloaded off the PlayStation Store for the price of $4.99. Review: Dead Space (PS3)
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of October 2008 - 05:14 PM ]
Bringing Back The Love Of Horror It has been a long time since I have had a game creep me out like the original Resident Evil did when I was a kid. Within the first twenty minutes of playing the game I felt the blood pumping with anticipation and a little excitement. And this isn't even anywhere near into the story at all. Pretty much, by this point you get off your ship look around and ask a few questions. Then out of no where the lights go out and you have to run for your life. Read More...

Tell Fables For Fun And Prizes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of October 2008 - 07:51 PM ]
Fable II Site Launches When the first game launched, they did something much the same, as is the case with any new game that launches. You want to get out the info as soon and as quick as possible. Makes sense. But this time around Lionshead and Microsoft have decided to make it even more worthwhile to go to the game's site. This time around when going through the story and cutouts, the choices you make can actually gain you in-game items. Pretty much however you decide to go through can get you different items for play within the game. Read More...

Gold With A Bit Of Awesome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2008 - 04:47 PM ]
Dead Space Has Gone Gold So they announced today that Dead Space has gone gold. No surprise there with the release date no more than two weeks away. And that they have bumped the release date forward twice now. So like I said, no big surprise with that announcement, but there is a cool little extra that they are offering up for those people who purchase and play the game before the original release date they posted. See below, there is some cool exclusive downloadable outfits for the game. Dependable on the system you get the game on. Read More...

[XBox 360 Review] Pirates Vs Ninjas Dodgeball
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 30th of September 2008 - 03:19 PM ]
I will be one of the first to admit that when I heard about Pirates vs. Ninja Dodge ball, I was genuinely intrigued and interested.  Unfortunately, the game is very quick to disappoint on any expectations you may have had.  Which is unfortunate, as this game could have been a very fun Xbox Live Arcade title. The game, as the title suggests, features Pirates and Ninjas playing dodge ball against each other, as well as Robots and Zombies. It has 3 different modes in Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Co-op, each of which has its own game types. Read More...

Left 4 Dead demo coming to both 360 and PC
by Sam [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2008 - 11:57 PM ]
Gabe Newell has announced a playable demo of the co-op survival horror game Left 4 Dead that will be released for both Xbox 360 and PC and will feature both single player mode and online co-op play. Newell states: "I don't know what the date is for release [of the demo] though. I think it's going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it'll probably be Hospital but I'm not sure." The game is to hit shelves at the end of November, so we may or may not get to try it before it's release. Read More...

X-Blades Hands On @ PAX '08
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 4th of September 2008 - 09:38 PM ]
South Peak Interactive was on hand promoting the upcoming hack & slash game, entitled X-Blades.  It’s developed by Gaijin Entertainment & TopWare Interactive, and features a scantily clad main character, named Ayumi.  The basic premise of the game is a button masher with an attractive female protagonist.  I had been looking forward to this game for a long time, so I will share my impressions of the game with you.   It was a very easy game to pick up and just jumping in and having fun killing the monsters. Left 4 Dead Hands On
by Andy [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2008 - 11:48 PM ]
Many great new games are coming out this upcoming holiday season and fortunately for me, I had a chance to play some at this year's Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). One of the must talked about games, Left 4 Dead (L4D), was available to play at Valve's booth. Throughout the whole convention, the L4D booth was packed to the gills with people eager to kill some zombies. You may hate me after I say this, but I got to play it 2 hours in advance of the general public. But don't hate me too much as I wouldn't have been able to play it otherwise. Read More...

Saints Row 2 Hands On @ PAX '08
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 2nd of September 2008 - 01:37 PM ]
After playing the first Saints Row for more hours than I can possibly count, I’ve been extremely excited since the announcement of Saints Row 2 coming in 2008.  After one delay, which has pushed the game back to October 14 2008, I about lost my mind.  But I would not have to wait that long to at least get a test run, and this is where PAX 2008 comes into play.    After a short five minute play through during the media time on Friday, I knew I had to get back and play the full first mission of Saints Row. Sunday, I got to finally get a full session in and take in the experience of Saints Row 2. Read More...
