Near the end of last week Deep Silver and Occupant Entertainment announced that a Dead Island film adaptation is in the works Time to hear the resounding cheers and jeers for the announcement of a Dead Island film. Yes, it looks like we may be getting a film adaptation of Deep Silver's largest zombie themed game. The first Dead Island has sold over 8 million copies of the game to date so it seems like it would be a perfect time to rake in more dough on the franchise. The extended trailer for Tekken 7 was shown at SDCC this year and we have it here for you to see Well I guess Namco kept their promise of showing more of Tekken 7 at SDCC this year. Although I am pretty sure this was not what fans of the franchise were looking forward to when said promise was made. In fact, if I was as rabid of a fan for Tekken as I am for other franchises I would be a little put out and upset with such a tease. A screenshot from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looked real enough to be used for real news This news report has since been updated but it feels more like a PR spin than truly admitting that they screwed up and used an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to shock people into believing their propaganda or at least listen to what they were saying. "News" outlet RT and show SophieCo were recently covering a story on children soldiers and were speaking to a former child soldier when the camera panned by and showed a scene from the next Kojima game. Like I said, it has since been updated to state that they knew it was from a video game but I have a feeling that is just to save face as something like this could ruin what the discussion was actually about. At EVO 2014 in Las Vegas, NV Tekken 7 was announced with a nice little trailer and few to go on It's funny that only a few days ago I was asking myself when Tekken 7 could be coming out. All while playing Tekken 6 at home. Well, at least trying to play Tekken 6 as it is still buggy as hells after its release here in the NA region in 2009. The film adaptation for Heavenly Sword will be released on September 2nd for all to enjoy Back in February we had our last look at the CGI film version of Heavenly Sword. Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals the prequel novel to Rise Of The Tomb Raider and sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot has been announced If you had a lot of burning question at the end of the Tomb Raider reboot and what led to the events in the trailer for Rise Of The Tomb Raider then you may be in luck. Namco Bandai has announced Godzilla coming to the PS3 in Japan this winter No, this isn't a late announcement for Godzilla as the most recent "reboot" has already come and gone from theaters here in North America. It is an announcement for Godzilla that will be coming to PS3s in Japan though. Hopefully in other regions without the need for modding or hacking the hardware but there have been no announcements to date. The Saints Row IV National Treasure edition has been announced and is a version that has all the DLC for Saints Row IV Just in case you are really really late to the Saints Row IV party it looks like we are getting a new edition of the game close to a year after launch. Saints Row IV National Treasure Edition is said edition if you missed the clues in the headline of this posting. What comes in this new edition of the game is Saints Row IV plus all of the DLC to date as well. Early on the 19th of June, Konami and Hideo Kojima showed off the closed doors demo for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Good news for all of you who didn't want to take the time to read through my Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain impressions from E3. It looks like Konami and Kojima wanted to cater to all of you who don't have the time to read through some heartfelt words letting you know what I saw for the game. While at E3 I got to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it All of the teases and short shows of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can all be put aside now as we were given a new and nice look at the game and features that have yet to be announced or shown in a public form. It also kind of puts the whole demo thing for Ground Zeroes to the side as with what was shown here at E3 was considerably more and with a demo you should get all of the game's mechanics and features.
