by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 6th of February 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Smoke And Sacrifice A new survival RPG game, Smoke And Sacrifice, has been announced and to help Smoke And Sacrifice stand out it looks like the game will be hand-illustrated too Hey survival RPG fans. We have another title to keep an eye on here as Smoke And Sacrifice has just been given the announcement treatment and heading to the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC sometime this year. It may have taken a bit of time for Solar Sail Games to get the announcement out there, but now we have our first look at this game and just how it will add to the genre and hopefully push it beyond. Right out of the gate, it looks like Smoke And Sacrifice is going to try that by having the visuals of the game have the hand-illustrated look to them all. Read More...

Soulcalibur VI Shows Off More Gameplay & A New Character
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of January 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Soulcalibur A new character for Soulcalibur VI is here and with him comes a whole lot of new gameplay and details for Soulcalibur VI Quite a bit of time has gone by since we last had a good Soulcalibur VI update and it looks like Bandai Namco has let some of the floodgates open a bit as we have a whole lot of new gameplay to look at and a whole new character for the series. It truly looks like they are taking some of the feedback, negative and positive, from the previous title and attempting to give fans a game they truly want. At least that is how it all seems at this point and there is still so much room to fall flat. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This has been one rollercoaster of a week in video games has it not? It started off with so much excitement and then ended in some sadness. Thus is the way of life, but we must press on. Especially since now we know when God Of War will be dropping, we had a few more game announcements like Those Who Remain and Beat Saber out there and some other great news. It makes us all want to forget about the sadness of when video games like Paragon get hit with a death sentence. Read More...

Review — High Noon VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of January 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
High Noon We sit down and review High Noon VR. An old-west shooting gallery in a VR setting. Here is our review of High Noon VR When it comes to VR one of the staple genres that come to mind are the shooter or shooting gallery style game and this is where we find High Noon VR in the mix of it all. It is a bit more than just that out of the gate, but that is about the basics to get us all started here with Octobox Interactive's VR title that hit the PC through various means here not so long ago. Just like other platforms in the past, they needed something to fill a need and that is just what this game is aiming, pun intended, to do. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of December 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Soulcalibur A new video for Soulcalibur VI has been released and it goes a bit more into Sophitia for Soulcalibur VI and how she was one of the first characters crafted for it all It is always fun when we get new gameplay for titles like Soulcalibur VI and that is what we have here today. More gameplay and a nice look at one of the characters for the game, Sophitia. One of the staple characters that Bandai Namco needs to have in the game by most gamer's wants and now we have a good look at just her. Well, maybe not a good look, but a better look than we have had since Soulcalibur VI was first shown off and the first gameplay was thrown out there. Read More...

New Pre-Alpha Gameplay For Dead Dozen Has Shambled Out To Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of December 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Dead Dozen Hot off the official announcement of Dead Dozen, we have some new pre-alpha gameplay to look at and see just what we could be getting ourselves into with Dead Dozen Back in November, we had a nice little tease for an upcoming title called Dead Dozen. More or less it looked like another Zombie Shooter coming from Fntastic Entertainment and had very little to go on outside of the eleven versus one style of gameplay it was going to have. One player would spawn in as the "ghoul" in the match and the other eleven would be survivors who needed to barricade themselves in a building and survive the onslaught of the ghoul. Obviously, there is a bit more to Dead Dozen than that, but this was all that we had from before and things were looking grim as the world it is set in. Read More...

The Demons Are Coming As The Exorcist: Legion VR Lands Here Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of November 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
The Exorcist A new VR experience in The Exorcist universe is almost here as we know when The Exorcist: Legion VR will be hitting the Oculus, HTC Vive, and PSVR It looks like we can add another huge horror franchise to the list of VR titles out there as The Exorcist: Legion VR is coming to us all on November 22nd to carry on all of the prophecies that were laid out in the lore. Well at least it is coming to the PC on the HTC Vive and Oculus as Fun Train and Wolf & Wood have not given a release date for the PS VR, but none the less we are getting a nice and creepy extension to The Exorcist III. Nonetheless, the game is coming to us and it looks like it will add to the "the scariest franchise" in horror movie history. Read More...

Tekken 7 Is Crossing Games Again As Noctis Joins In The Fight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of November 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Tekken The third DLC character for Tekken 7 is here and it looks like Tekken 7 is going to be getting a bit of Final Fantasy XV in it Someone was sitting around and wondering what else needs to be part of Tekken 7 and what the game needed more of it seems. At least that is how I like to think about the process that Bandai Namco starts off with when they try to figure out what their game needs to have added to it to improve it all. That is also how I think Tekken 7's latest DLC character has come to light as I see someone thinking, "You what this game needs more of? Final Fantasy XV. Read More...

Review — Maize
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 12th of September 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Night Trap We sit down and review Maize. An adventure game all about surviving a bunker full of sentient corn. Here is our review of this Maize Late last year we saw Maize release out there for the PC world and only had glimmers of hope for when it would be making its way over to the PS4 and Xbox One. We all knew it was coming but it wasn't until September 12th that Finish Line Games was able to get the game to make the leap on over. Or the crawl. Read More...

Little Nightmares Is Getting A New ‘Complete Edition’ Of The Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of September 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Little Nightmares It seems that Little Nightmares has done so well that we are all in need of a complete edition of Little Nightmares that is now coming in October Earlier this year we were all treated to a nice little game called Little Nightmares. Well, at least you had the chance to treat yourself to the game if it looked to fit into your particular interests. It was a dark adventure game from Tarsier Studios that caught a lot of great attention and fared rather well among all of the critics out there back in April. It looks like Little Nightmares fared so well that now on October 27th Bandai Namco is bringing the game back to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in a new form with the Complete Edition of the game. Review — Night Trap 25th Anniversary Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Night Trap We sit down and review Night Trap 25th Anniversary Edition. The Interactive Video ‘game’ that caused Senate Hearings is back. Here is our review of this Night Trap I remember so long ago spinning up, literally, Night Trap on my Uncle's Sega CD and giving the game a play. I also remember being yelled at later for playing such a "disgusting" game and then subsequently hearing all of the other horrible things about it. Now we are 25 years after that and we are getting a remaster of the game from Screaming Villains on the PC and PS4. Night Trap is one of the titles out there that was responsible for the ERSB being formed so it feels right to give the game a review and see what I may have missed so long ago and to see how it all holds up over the years. Immortal: Unchained Is Announced To Be Another Souls-Like Title Coming Soon
by Jana Lass [ Tuesday, 29th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Immortal A new Souls-like shooter, Immortal: Unchained, has been announced and Immortal: Unchained looks to shake up the genre a bit but still keep it difficult It looks like we have another "Souls-like" title to look forward to now as Immortal: Unchained has been given a full announcement and is poised to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC at some point. You can read that as there has yet to be a release date set down for the game, but that does not mean that Toadman Interactive does not want you to at least hear about the title. This is of course why we are here right now and that is to talk about Immortal: Unchained now that it is out there in the world. Read More...

Night Trap's 25th Anniversary Version Now Has A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Night Trap The release date for Night Trap, the 25th anniversary version, has been set and is bringing some extra Night Trap features never before played It's seems that the re-release of Night Trap only missed the initial release window by a short time, but now we know that if you are looking for the game on the PS4 and PC you can look toward August 15th now to get your hands on some of that sweat "retro" gaming action. It may not be retro in the way you all normally think, Screaming Villains are bringing it all back from the '90s for us and it falls into the category there. Even if Night Trap was all FMV and non-sprite based. Read More...
