Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The year has kicked off and, just as we thought, things are a bit slow on the gaming side and video games out there. That is to be expected. Although, with certain copyrights being lifted, we did see that Infestation 88 did not take long to make the announcement. Infestation 88 The announcement for Infestation 88 is here to use a massive public domain character into horror in Infestation 88 We knew it was going to happen once some IPs started to hit the public domain, and within hours of it happening, here we go with Infestation 88. A new horror title coming from Nightmare Forge Games that will be using that nostalgia of a hundred-year-old character to help bring some different frights into the mix. It is unclear if it can be stated which one directly since they are sticking clear of naming anything directly, but you can have a look at Infestation 88 and see just what they are going for. It has been a rollercoaster of a year and a week, but we managed to get out all that we could. Something we originally missed, like Welcome To ParadiZe and Exoborne, while also getting a few more titles like Chasmal Fear and Death Relives out there just under the wire. Tekken Things are getting Bearable in Tekken 8 with Kuma showing off all of the Tekken fighting prowess again I hope you are not allergic to fish out there, as it looks like Kuma is back for Tekken 8 and ready to start slapping us all around with a salmon. Yes, the big, bad bear from the history of the IP is coming back with Bandai Namco going with some interesting directions for the character. Like the fact that Kuma will be using a fish more in the fighting of Tekken than remembered. A fish that also seems to be a transformer of sorts now. Read More...

Tekken The ultimate edition for Tekken 8 is ready for us to pick up as we get Shaheen back into the Tekken IP once more Well look at that, we are just over a month out from Tekken 8 hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with even more characters getting announced here. January 26th is not far off and here we go with a showing of Shaheen coming back into the fight and offering up another style of fighting. Not only that but Bandai Namco is offering a look at the bigger version of Tekken 8 that can be picked up if we want to throw down some extra money on it all. Tekken The latest character for Tekken 8 is here and it is one of the best from the Tekken IP of all time I was starting to worry that Tekken 8 might not have one of the staple characters we have seen in the game since its incarnation out there. A character that felt like it was a bit of a troll and brought some extra weirdness to the IP and it looks as if Bandai Namco is showing all that off again. Here we go with Yoshimitsu back in the mix of Tekken to give us all of that space ninja energy we could want on our PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2024. They said that this one needed no introduction, but I would say this would be the best one to give an introduction to… Just as the many other characters in Tekken, we get a fast-paced look at Yoshimitsu here swinging a big sword and flipping all over the place. Tekken One more Tekken character is back in the mix for Tekken 8 with the showing of Dragunov in the mix of everything The fighters are still flowing on out there for Tekken 8 with more of the classic characters coming back in. Although I would say that this one is not truly a classic but another that Bandai Namco is getting back in the mix again. As long as you have been a massive fan of the IP since Tekken 5. Tekken Two more of the past Tekken fighters are on the way to us when Tekken 8 launches in early next year I thought we had all of the fighters listed out there for Tekken 8, but it seems as if I was wrong about all of that. In fact, we have two more to add to the list from Bandai Namco just before the January 26th, 2024, release date that we have set. Two more characters that are from the Tekken titles of the past too. Tekken The final character coming for Tekken 8 is here and it brings us all a wholly new character to the roster of the Tekken IP The roster is now full up or Tekken 8 with the final character of the core roster getting shown off now. A new character not only for this game but also a new character for the overall IP that Bandai Namco has finally opted to do for this one. Even if I thought it was going to take until 2024 to finally get that character reveal and most likely before it dropped on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Lies Of P One more showcase for Lies Of P is here to give us a quick look at the various bosses we will face in Lies Of P There is no denying or hiding the fact that Lies Of P is going to have a whole lot of boss fights in the game among all of the basic ones we have seen already. It would be rather shocking if Round8 Studio did not have that planned from the start of it all. Especially since, now, we have a look and many of those boss and mini-boss fights we are going to have to endure when playing Lies Of P on September 19th on our PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. Tekken The release date for Tekken 8 is now set with a lot more shown off to us all for Tekken 8 too It slipped out there during Gamescom 2023, but we finally have the release date for Tekken 8 out there and more than just having a 2024 timeline. It falls about when we were expecting for it all, but Bandai Namco has finally confirmed that we will be seeing the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming January 26th, 2024. Yes, it will be early in 2024 and we will have so much to do in Tekken 8 too. Lies Of P The launch of Lies Of P is almost here and we get one more taste as to how deep the lies will go in the Lies Of P This time has almost come and we can almost all dig into the Lies Of P out there. It feels fitting that it all starts to flow out there on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC around the time of Gamescom with Round8 Studio giving us so many of the game's updates around this time in general.
