Why I Am Not Excited About Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Am I the only one who is disappointed by the new Borderlands game announcement? I have been a fan of Borderlands since its release day. I have played both games on all three platforms. Each time the game looks the best to me on the PC. Contrary to the evidence, I am not a PC elitist. The game just seems to pop a little better when ran at max settings on a PC. That is why when I heard that we were getting a new Borderlands game I was a happy camper. Then I read that it was going to be built on the same engine as Borderlands 2. Read More...

We Are Getting A Watch_Dogs 'Sequel' Already…In eBook Form
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has announced an eBook sequel story to the events of Watch_Dogs slated to come out around the game's launch. Watch_Dogs is still about a month out from launch and there is already a talk about a sequel to the game's story. This isn't another quick turnaround for another game in the new franchise but an eBook titled Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Clouds. Kind of an interesting way to go about it there but it does fit into Ubisoft's want for all IPs to be able to have a franchise built around it. From what has been stated so far don't expect it to be just a continuation of the story in Watch_Dogs the game but a whole new story in the same universe written by John Shirley. Read More...

The only question is, does A Crooked Mile expand on the game's world and mechanics or just let us down again? Sit right back and I'll tell you the tale of my experience with The Wolf Among Us episode three. Read More...

New Screen Shots For The Evil Within Shows Us Water Monsters
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of April 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots for The Evil Within have popped up on the internet. This time showing off a new monster type. We may not have more news for The Evil Within but we do have a few new screen shots for the game. I wish I had more given all of the bad "previews" that have been abound the internet from the other sites that require payment to give good news; but I don't. Instead just these four new shots that kind of show off a bit of the atmosphere and enemies in the game. At least both are perceived to be enemies and there is nothing more than the huge fanged monster roaring Sebastian and the other is Boxman. Read More...

Creating The Authentic Alien Universe For Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Alien Isolation has been released showing the care in creating the 70's Sci-Fi in a modern age. Let's mark this new developer diary for Alien Isolation a step in the right direction. At least in my book. Sega and Creative Assembly have just released a new dev diary showcasing how they are trying to stay true to the original limitations that the Alien films had for Alien Isolation. It is always funny to look back at older films and see how under advanced the future is supposed to be due to the real world tech at the times. For instance, Alien is supposed to be set around 2119 yet there are no crazy holograms or AR displays due to the limitations of the tech in the 70's. Read More...

The Beautiful World Of Child Of Light's Lemuria
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Child Of Light shows off the game's world, levels, and puzzles. If there is one thing I love it is a serene look at a game's world and Child Of Light does not let me down in that area. In fact this some of the most beautiful looking world that I have seen since Journey. That was a great combination of visuals and audio that brought me to tears with emotion and I have a feeling that will be the case with Child Of Light. Watch the following trailer and tell me that you don't think the same thing. It is absolutely gorgeous. Read More...

Cult County To Mess With Texas In Horror FPS Fashion
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Cult County, a survival horror FPS, has a new gameplay trailer to help with its Kickstarter Campaign. If you haven't heard of Cult County yet then it may be safe to assume that you don't spend your days looking at Kickstarter campaigns or new that doesn't come from the huge publishers. I just found out about it myself while trying to dig up some fun content for all of you six readers out there due to all of the big names being focused on PAX and all the fun there. The only drawback from having huge conventions is they blow their load in terms of news out the gate. Back on topic though. Read More...

It is a look at how Ubisoft and NVIDIA have 'teamed up' to give us the most visually stunning version of the game we can imagine. Rumor No More — Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Is Happening
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been officially announced by Gearbox and 2K Australia. Looks like all the rumors were true. Earlier this week there were rumors abound about a supposed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I personally poked at the rumor but as it would turn out some other press outlet just broke the embargo on the announcement. If this forced Gearbox's hand to make things official is still up to debate but none the less here we have Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. As mentioned before, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes place after Borderlands but before Borderlands 2. Read More...

Finally A New Gameplay Trailer For The Evil Within Straight From PAX East
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Bethesda has released a new trailer for The Evil Within in the build up to PAX East. Still so many questions unanswered… If there is one thing I love about big gaming and geek conventions like PAX it is that we get awesome new trailers like the one for The Evil Within we just received. Granted, this usually means that we all have to wait an obscene amount of time to finally hear some new little tidbit for a game we are excited for but at least it comes like clockwork. Only about two months from when we got our last up date in the form of a release date for The Evil Within. Again I am deviated from the original point here. Read More...

A Few New Murdered: Soul Suspect Screen Shots To Haunt Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Airtight games has released a few new screen shots for Murdered: Soul Suspect and we have them here. Fresh from the Twittersphere come a few new screen shots for Murdered: Soul Suspect but no real new gameplay or story information. It is cool and all that we have something new to look at but correct me if I am wrong but I thought all of their previous trailers always tease another new trailer soon. Soon apparently means more than a month for a new trailer and spattered screen shots for a game that is quickly coming upon its release date. Granted there is still about two full months until we will be playing Murdered: Soul Suspect but that is splitting hairs now. Read More...

Looks Like We Are Getting Marvel Characters In Our Disney Infinity 2.0
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Marvel has teased that we will be getting some heroes for Disney Infinity 2.0. Captain America is the only 'confirmed' character for now. Earlier today Marvel teased some new characters coming for Disney Infinity in the 2.0 edition of the game. Well more new character but it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that they are going to be pumping as many characters from their universe into the video game/toy cash cow. That and the use of the iconic "Assemble" phrases that go hand in hand with the Avengers, but for right now all we get is Captain America's shield flying around bringing down the baddies of Disney Infinity. Should we all be too shocked with this announcement or tease here? Read More...
