Finally We Can Get Dis-Kinected From The Xbox One
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Microsoft has just announced a new Xbox One bundle that removes the Kinect and lowers the price greatly. Finally after months of the not-so-die-hard Xbox fans complaining about having to purchase the Kinect in their Xbox One bundle, it is being removed. That's right. Starting June 9th there will be an Xbox One bundle that doesn't have the Kinect packaged in which will bring the overall price down to match that of the launch day PS4. That would be $399 plus tax here in the states. Of course the option to purchase a Kinect to "upgrade" to the "best experience ever" will still be an option just no longer required. Read More...

Rumor Mill: God Of War 4 And Halo 5 At E3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
'Leaked' documents surrounding the three big E3 Press Events point to new games and demos not previously announced. It would seem that there is a new document showcasing the schedules for the Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo conferences making the rounds online. The validity of this document is still to be determined but if it is true we could be seeing a new God Of War title as well as a demo for Halo 5. Of course at each respectful E3 press event and not in one big collaboration. Could you imagine that though? Read More...

Dragon Age Inquisition Has Some Beautiful Looking Environments Incoming
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A batch of new screen shots for Dragon Age Inquisition have been released showing off the environments of the game. Alright all you who are excited for Dragon Age Inquisition. We have quite a few more screen shots for the game and this time it looks like they are focused more on the environments of the game more than anything. I guess if you also want to get a bit technical too it looks like there is somewhat of a season cycle as well to look at here as well. Main because there is a batch that looks to take place in some frozen landscapes and another set in a more hospitable climate. Read More...

Sad News As Dying Light Has Been Delayed Until February 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Dying Light has been pushed back a few months now to better improve core aspects of the game. I could have sworn that Dying Light looked to be nearing the end of its development road. Even back when I first saw the demo at E3 last year the game seriously looked like it could have made an October 2013 release date if Techland and Warner Bros. truly pushed. Obviously they did not and now it would seem that is a good thing as even under the normal development cycle has left things wanting. Read More...

The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3 Will Be Out Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3 has a new trailer and is slated to be on all platforms/markets next week. It boggles my mind sometimes on how Telltale likes to keep their new releases so secret until they do what they just did with The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3. Just like all of their other titles they wait until the week before to put out a trailer for the game, claim it is coming soon, and then give a solid date for five to seven days later. I've said it before that we should be used to it but it just sticks in my craw that much that it bugs me enough to complain. For now let us get to the new trailer for The Walking Dead S2E3. See How The Cast Of Characters In Alien Isolation Came To Be
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer showing off how the characters of Alien Isolation were created to give the game life. Here we go with another developer diary for Alien Isolation. This time it is showing off a bit more to the story of the game as well as to how Creative Assembly created each of the characters for the game. It is no real big surprise that they used a bit of facial capture but it is cool to see that they are using the actors who gave the performance as the actual model. This isn't anything new in the industry but it usually isn't common place in a world where publishers and developers want to use big names and face. Read More...

Meet The Wild Bunch Of Watch_Dogs In The Latest Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Watch_Dogs shows off the friends, enemies, and other people Aiden will have. We are getting closer to the release of Watch_Dogs so it is high time we get to know the other characters of the game that will not be controlled directly by you. Yea, it is time to meet the heroes, villains, and secondary characters of the game that will most likely have an impact on the overall story for us. The new trailer below is a nice montage to all of these people but they really don't say who falls into what category for Aiden. Well outside of T-Bone who has already been shown to be an ally of sorts in previous gameplay trailers or gameplay footage. Read More...

How Close To Chicago Did Watch_Dogs Go? Let Us See
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new feature for Watch_Dogs shows how close to the real world version of Chicago the developers went. Just in case you were wondering about just what the headline asked we have a new developer video showing just that for Watch_Dogs. All of the landmarks. All of the streets. All of the alleyways. They all look to have been handled with care from start to finish. Why would we expect any less for the new franchise that Ubisoft has already set out to milk for as much as they can keep it a good game? Just like Assassin's Creed… I will say it is a bit unsettling to hear that they only doubled the number of cameras on the streets of Chicago for Watch_Dogs. Read More...

Even More Coming Out For Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Eight new screens have shown up for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare showing even more of the future tech and world. Now that the PR train is rolling for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare it almost feels like I should be waiting to get everything out in one big push. Then I look at what is coming and realize that most of you are most likely of the mind set of "I want it now!" That being said, I couldn't hold back the new set of screen shots for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare even though they really don't come along with any real news or updates. They do however come along with a bunch of new things to pine over and speculate on. Read More...

New Details Around Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Have Emerged
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The official announcement and press release for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been opened up and not leaked now. I am sure by now you have seen the Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare announcement trailer. If you were like me then you most likely may have been wondering how the visuals didn't seem to coincide with the teased in-game screen shots. After seeing the following screen shots I think I will place most of the blame on the limitations of YouTube instead of what we will actually be getting on our PCs and next-gen consoles. This is what I am talking about that has impressed with Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Read More...

Here We Go With The First Screens For Tales From The Borderlands
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Telltale Games and Gearbox Software have released a small set of screen shots from their upcoming title Tales From The Borderlands. It is time for all of you Borderlands fans to lose you shit as we now have the first official screen shots for the Telltale and Gearbox collaboration Tales From The Borderlands. To be honest, they also look exactly how I imagined everything would look for the game as well. As the original announcement and showcasing presented it would look just like Borderlands 2 as far as what is on screen with a stylized version of the dialog controls Telltale uses in all of their episodic games. The Evil Within Is Getting A Prequel In Comic Form
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The horror game The Evil Within is getting a prequel comic from Titan Comics. The Evil Within isn't even out yet nor is it a large franchise yet and we are already getting a prequel comic book to go along with the game. It looks like Bethesda and Tango Gameworks are really behind this project to have green-lit this comic from Titan Comics. That would be the people behind the Doctor Who comics and the DmC comic. I guess that is a bit of good news to all of us wondering but only time will tell. Read More...

Fear For Clementine With The News Screens For The Walking Dead: Episode 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There are some new teaser images for The Walking Dead episode 3 and it looks like Clem may be in peril. Up until now with The Walking Dead from Telltale we have been on edge for our little protagonist's wellbeing. The entire first season of the episodic game was all about making sure she was safe and sound and now that we have control of her in season two we are in direct control of that. With these latest teaser images for episode three of the second season it looks like Clem may be in a lot more harm's way than before. Ok, well maybe not so much for Clem as the whole of The Walking Dead would crumble if the main protagonist up and died but that doesn't mean she can't be maimed. Read More...
