Put Davy Crockett To Shame With Your Perception In Fallout 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of September 2015 - 06:59 PM ]
The next video in Fallout 4's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series has been released to show off how Perception will be used in Fallout 4 The second fun video for Fallout 4's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series has been released and give us a look into the Perception stat that we will be using to help survive the wastelands in the game. Bethesda gave us a look at Strength last week so Endurance is slated for next week so I am guessing that the assumption made before will ring true here. But this week is all about Perception in Fallout 4 and how that skill will keep you alive and prospering after the world has ended. Read More...

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Is The Title You Didn't Know You Wanted
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of September 2015 - 08:59 PM ]
During the Tokyo Game Show Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 has been announced so those looking for a bridge for Kingdom Hearts 3 will have all of their prequel needs met It looks like we may have been a bit ahead of ourselves last week when we spoke of Kingdom Hearts 2.9 as during the Tokyo Game Show we just had Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 announced and on its way to the PS4. It does seem like a minor alteration to what was spoken of before but it looks like Square Enix is making sure that even more of us have the full-ish story just before Kingdom Hearts III hits shelves on the PS4 and Xbox One. Another Resident Evil Spin-Off Is Coming With Umbrella Corps
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
New spin-off title for the Resident Evil franchise, Umbrella Corps, has been announced and is a third-person competitive shooter set in the franchise's universe With all of the other Resident Evil spin-offs and update it is no surprise that the next addition to the franchise is Umbrella Corps and that the game is a third-person, team-based, competitive shooter coming to the PS4 and PC sometime early next year. Wait…you were waiting for a Resident Evil 7 and Umbrella Corps is kind of surprise from Capcom? Well Umbrella Corps is what we are getting in way of a non-remake for the RE franchise so we are going to have to deal and maybe, just maybe, enjoy the game now that we have an announcement and our first real look at the game. Take A Look At How You Are S.P.E.C.I.A.L. In Fallout 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new promotional series for Fallout 4 has begun to show us how we are S.P.E.C.I.A.L. in the game starting with the Strength attribute we will need to survive in Fallout 4 Since we had a look at where Fallout 4 will be heading after it launches on November 10th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC yesterday I guess it is high time we start to look at some of the mechanics we will employ in the core version of the game. With that we have Bethesda's new video series aimed to show us all how we are S.P. Read More...

Fallout 4 Is Getting A Season Pass & Here Are Some Details
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
While details are still sparse, it looks like Fallout 4 is getting a season pass for its DLC so we can keep playing Fallout 4 into the end of days With Fallout 4 still months out from launch it seems like a good time to start talking about DLC and updates right? Nothing like getting the updates on all the little extra add-ons to a game before it is actually finished being developed right? Bethesda thinks so and so now we have the first bit of details on Fallout 4 future updates, tools, and a Season Pass for all of the DLC that will pumped out afterward to our PS4, Xbox One, or PC version of the game. Nothing makes us feel great about a game like Fallout 4 than knowing that we are going to have to pay more to make sure we have the full experience of the game in advance. Read More...

Mega Man Is Coming To The Big Screen So Lets Cross Fingers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of September 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
It has been announced that Mega Man is getting a silver screen adaptation of the franchise so let's hope it stays true The title, again, here pretty much takes the cake as it looks like Mega Man is getting a film adaptation for the game and it is slated to hit the big screens and not just straight to DvD. 20th Century Fox will be the big named studio behind this project but before you start your shuddering it looks like Chernin Entertainment has already tapped a few proven and talented people to make sure this Capcom title doesn't go the way of video game movies. Mega Man is one of those titles that will be looked at with a heavy eye so there will be little wiggle room given the franchises popularity and massive Mega Man fan base. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/17/15 — 8/21/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of August 2015 - 11:03 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another week in video games down and many, many more to go. Even if this week was a bit on the roller coaster ride that we usually use to describe weeks that occur before major conventions. PAX Prime is coming up so I am sure that all of the other big announcements and reveals will happen then. That's not saying we didn't have some great stuff for Until Dawn, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Mad Max this week. Hells, we also had one of the best announcements for Kingdom Heart III with Big Hero 6 getting its time in the sun when that game finally hits the market. Read More...

Step Aboard The Avenger Of XCOM 2 & Strategize
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
New gameplay for XCOM 2 has been released and it focuses on the strategy elements of XCOM 2 as well as living in a big ass ship You wanted more gameplay for XCOM 2. Well now you are getting more gameplay for XCOM 2. The only thing is that we are not getting the turn-based gameplay but the strategy stuff that Firaxis Games is taking great care into allowing us to micromanage every little aspect of XCOM 2 with. Just what all of us were looking for with the franchise as it moves on from its better titles and leave the crummier ones in the dust. XCOM fans can be so harsh it is kind of a surprise that 2K Games was going to take another chance but I guess they think they will appease all of you. Read More...

The PlayStation Experience Is Coming Back & To A New Location
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 14th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
PlayStation Sony has announced that the PlayStation Experience will be happening again only this time the PlayStation Experience will be in San Francisco Given the success of last year's PlayStation Experience it would be a bit daft to think that it wouldn't be making a huge comeback this year. For the uneducated this would be Sony's huge PlayStation "Fan Fest" of sorts to show off all their new and current IPs, hardware, and ideas coming to their platforms. Seeing as they didn't make a big push for anything sans the Morpheus at E3 and other conventions we can most likely expect the PlayStation Experience to only show off items for the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and the like but who knows? Maybe Sony will have some kind of huge surprise just for this event here and no one but they know at this time. Read More...

Resident Evil 2 Is Officially Getting A Remake
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
It has been made official as Resident Evil 2 is getting the remake treatment so even more gamers out there can experience the horror of Resident Evil 2 It looks like fans and the internet win again as Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake treatment and it won't be a fan project as we've seen spreading all over the internet. In fact this news comes right from the horse's mouth as Capcom has green-lit Resident Evil 2 Remake and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will again be at the helm. That would be the producer behind Resident Evil HD Remaster that hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC not too long ago and I am pretty sure he has his hands in Resident Evil 0 Remaster as well. Look Out For The Jackal In Evolve's Hunting Season 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new hunter for Evolve has been released and is currently available for Evolve's Hunting Season 2 DLC pack The hunt continues on as Evolve's second major DLC push brings us yet another Trapper to play with in the game. This would be part of the Hunting Season 2 DLC push that Turtle Rock Studios has been working on to keep fans playing Evolve as well as trying to draw in more fans for the game. If only they would have started with a character like Jack, or Jackal, from the start I might still be playing Evolve. Although Now that I see him in action here 2K Games may be seeing my money flying back at them for this next bit of DLC. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/3/15 — 8/7/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games As Gamescom comes to a warp here we too come to wrap up another week in video games. There was so much to take in for this week we didn't get a chance to cover most things that cropped up for the industry at all. We tried our damnedest to do so but we are still just a small and fierce team. When the likes of Rock Band 4, Mad Max, and Final Fantasy XV are hammering us with so much it is hard to cover all video games out there or in the works. Hells, there was also a whole lot of Metal Gear Solid V that was handed out and we were only able to cover so little on it even though it was a huge thing. Read More...

Faith Is Restored With New Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for Mirror's Edge Catalyst was shown off at Gamescom 2015 and it shows us all that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be the reboot to the franchise we've wanted When I first heard that Mirror's Edge Catalyst was going to be a reboot of sorts for the franchise I was a little worried as I didn't think it needed a reboot. After my experience with it at E3 I was calmed down a little as it looked like DICE was going in the right direction even if it felt more like an expansion to the world and not a new title. After seeing what EA had to present for Mirror's Edge Catalyst during Gamescom here I think my worries are now pretty much faded away as even if it isn't going to be coined a sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst is exactly what I was hoping for back when it was called Mirror's Edge 2. Mafia 3 Revealed & Showing Us All What Family Truly Is
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The Mafia 3 trailer has finally been released to give us a feel for what the game will be about as well as introduces us to Mafia 3's protagonist We've all been waiting patiently since we first heard about Mafia 3 being on its way and getting a trailer out of Gamescom here. Last week it cause such a stir that all kinds of rumors and speculation flew around the internet about what Mafia 3 that I am sure Hangar 13 had a few good laughs at us all. Only they and 2K Games truly knew what was going on with Mafia 3 but thankfully we've all been let in on the fun as the world reveal trailer for the game has finally landed. Not only that but a slew of new information for Mafia 3 that shows not all of the speculation was too far off and that there really was a lot more planned here than just another Mafia game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
