To the disappointment of many Suzumiya Haruhi fans, Kadokawa has announced that Haruhi No Gekidou has been delayed until January 22nd 2009. This was pushed back from it's original release date of November 28th 2008.  Haruhi No Gekidou is based off the extremely popular anime, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi from Bandai Ent. For thos who don't know, while it's still known as the Haruhi Dance game, it was previously announced that the dancing aspect has most likely been cancelled. No More Heroes 2 - Desperate Struggle Yes, if you read the line above this, you know what is coming. Yes, there is going to be a sequel to the first game. If you have yet to play it, DEFINITELY give it a go. I didn't hop on at first. In fact it took a sweet little innocent ex-roommate of mine to inform me of how cool the game was. On September 30th it was officially announced on the Rock Band forum that AC/DC is coming to the hugely popular Harmonix title. Though their song “Let There be Rock” is playable for Rock Band 2, currently out on the Xbox 360 and soon for the PS3, the band will also be getting the stand-alone treatment for both the original Rock Band and its sequel. Available only on disc and not a part of the DLC, the installment will be titled AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack and hits store shelves on November 2nd for the 360, PS3 and PS2. During their Fall Press Conference today, Nintendo announced a new version of the Nintendo DS called the DSi. The handheld's screens have been enlarged, and will now be 17% bigger (at 3.25 inches) from a DS Lite. The rumors of audio enhancement and .3 megapixel (640x480) camera have proven to be correct. The DSi will also feature an SD memory card slot, making it possible to take pictures with the DSi and then view them on the Nintendo Wii. They dubbed it Wii HD. HD = High Definition Graphics. What, you thought Nintendo wasn't gonna go there? According to "sources" (aka the "they" from above) that have seen a presentation on the next Wii (keep in mind that this next step is going to be akin to the NES going to the SNES as opposed to the SNES going to the N64, in other words, much of everything is staying the same, however it will have better graphics), it will include High Definition graphics, a larger storage medium of either a hard drive or a much larger flash memory, and tweaked controllers. While it is not said whether or not they will use Blu-Ray they have stated that they would like to implement full backwards compatibility (the Wii optical discs currently use regular DVD standards). The Rock Band 2 registration site is now up and running for those looking to get their 20 songs via download.  While the songs aren't available yet, you can register now, so Harmonix can e-mail you the download code when they become available in a few weeks.  Also while filling out the form, it has a comment box where you can suggest Bands & Songs you would like to see on Rock Band 2.  Unfortunately, no word on what will be included in this 20 song DLC as of yet.  I personally hope they throw in some J-Rock, but I know it's all wishful thinkin. Pokemon Platinum, the third game in the Diamond and Pearl series, was recently released in Japan. During the first days of it's release it sold nearly 1 million units. In one weekend it sold over 963,000 copies, all for the Nintendo DS. This made Pokemon Platinum the fastest selling Nintendo DS game ever. The Pokemon series has a long history of being extremely successful, especially in Japan. The game still has no confirmed released date in America. Read More...

Yep you read the title right. It seems that Nintendo isn't upset at all over the Mii looking Avatars that Microsft released at E3. Instead Nintendo is actually flattered..weird right?  In this month's issue of Club Nintendo (Latin America equivalent of Nintendo Power) they talk to company president Reggie Fils-Aime about his thoughts on the Xbox Avatars, "Copying is a way of flattering, so we're very flattered," said Fils-Aime curtosy of a transltor. It seems that on September 7th customers will see a new addition to the DS color lineup in the form of Metallic Silver. The other color choices available for the DS are: Polar White, Onyx, Coral Pink, Crimson/Black, Cobalt/Black, and Metallic Rose. According to Nintendo there are over 600 DS games to choose from..that is a lot of games! Sega is hard at work to make you beautiful. The gaming company has teamed up with the make-up powerhouse Shiseido to bring women and men a personal beauty consultant. Project Beauty will be hitting shelves in Japan on November 27 on the Nintendo DS. The game will be used with a scanning device that will take a digital image of the players face and feed it into the DS. After scanning your face you will be put into one of four groups; Cool, Active, Cute or Feminine. You then have the option of the game telling you what's best for your particular face or you can decide for yourself by mixing and matching different colors. Read More...

Nintendo has confirmed that a a limited edition Pokemon DS pack will go on sale August 17th For $129.99. It'll feature the custom Onyx Nintendo DS with images of Dialga and Palkia. This was previously sold back in Japan at the Pokemon Center retails. It will also include never before released Pokémon animated special Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, a special Dialga and Palkia carrying case, and collectible mini-poster. Mad World E3 Trailer I know I talked about this game once before. It was only when there was a teaser for the game, but it looks like there is an even better trailer for the game that was shown at E3 this year. Like the title says, Man Darts!
