Nintendo's New HD Console
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 22nd of April 2011 - 10:12 PM ]
According to some anonymous sources with knowledge of Nintendo's Project Cafe the new HD console will go for anywhere between $350 USD and $400 USD and could be launched as early as this October. Although speculations say it could be released as late as next year to allow more consoles, software and games to be prepared for launch. I say having the console release next year would be a wise decision. Having more units and games for a launch date is a smart choice. Read More...

Will The 3DS Be Playable On Day One?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of February 2011 - 10:03 PM ]
So the 3DS is hitting shelves in just about a month. March 27th to be exact for you. Wouldn't it be nice to know if it is going to be worth a purchase out the gate? At least for those people who care to have a launch 3DS for gaming and not just to have bragging rights that they sat in line for over a week to get the very first one their local electronics store had. People in the first category should want to know if they are going to have to wait to play some good games at launch. That is where we at AggroGamer are going to step in and show you the titles you can look forward to shelling out extra cash on if you are getting a 3DS on launch day. Read More...

Shocking New: Chris Evans To Voice In Captain America: Super Soldier
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of February 2011 - 11:41 PM ]
Just like the announcement of Chris Hemsworth voicing Thor in the movie tie-in game of the same name, it looks like Chris Evans is doing the same for Cap. in Captain America: Super Soldier. As the title says, real shocking news right? I am almost certain that most of us saw this coming in the first place, so the announcement is really no big surprise. Just like I said for Thor the surprise would be that the game is at least worth a rental. Moving on from that, there are a few new screen shots below for us to look at and get all hopeful over. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Has Finally Launched...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of February 2011 - 07:41 PM ]
With that, let us celebrate by watching the fourth, I'm assuming last, episode of the story as well as a showcasing of the full roster of on-disc combatants for MvC3. Mainly for all of you out there that have yet to get your hands on the game and play through the main story path of the game. Yes there is story somewhere in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Or at least I am hoping on the game disc itself. Read More...

Transformers Milking The Dark Of The Moon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of February 2011 - 04:47 PM ]
I was hoping that we were all beyond this with the epic tea bagging Devastator gave us in the last Transformers film. But I guess Transformers: War For Cybertron did well enough for Activision to look into doing another Transformers game. With that let me present you Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. The next in the line of new Transformers games and a tie-in with the new film from look and sound of it. Why they have switched gears from the new games they have created to the tie-in I have no clue. Well outside of wanting to milk the consumer for more money because of the film. Read More...

Silver Surfer In Marvel Vs. Capcom 3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of February 2011 - 06:33 PM ]
Ok, well not really the Silver Surfer himself in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 but what looks an awful lot like Galactus has turned the "Villains" of the game into "Heralds" of some sort. I mean if you watch the trailer and look at the screen shots below you get to see "Silver" Wesker, Dr Doom, Dormammu and Akuma do everything the planet eater asks of them. In this case it looks like they are asked to be the first wave of attack against which ever hero team you have brought to stop Galactus from eating the Earth. Oh, and I guess this also kills the "rumor" that Galactus is going to be in the game as well, but that is just a small bullet point here. Read More...

Shadow Boxing In Marvel Vs Capcom 3?
by Andy [ Tuesday, 8th of February 2011 - 11:52 PM ]
Ok, so here is a nice little twist to things on the MvC3 front. It looks like there is a bit more DLC already planned after launch of the game. This DLC won't be new characters, but it will bring new challengers to the table. New challengers in the form of a Shadow Mode for the game. What is Shadow Mode? It is a way that Capcom can allow users at home to download AI opponents programmed after the techniques and preferences of Capcom's development staff and famous players from the fighting game scene. So you can technically practice without leaving your gaming chair nor have to invite these people over or wait for their time to be free enough to play online against you. Read More...

Rift Open Beta Starts February 15th
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 8th of February 2011 - 09:45 PM ]
This past weekend gave us the 6th beta test for Rift, the latest MMO title by Trion games. Probably one of the more successful stress tests I've seen so far. Now not even 24 hours after the beta closed we get news that an open beta will be available starting next week! Not only that, there is loot to be had for those brave enough to delve deep into the dungeons! Players who can defeat ANY dungeon boss could be entered to win a brand new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 video card. Ten other lucky entrants will win an In-Game Prize packs for just killing dungeon bosses. Read More...

Here Comes The DLC For Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of February 2011 - 10:39 PM ]
It has been announced that Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath were coming to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 as DLC for a short while now, but how are they going to look? Well I am sure your eyes have already drifted south for a second to see that we have a slew of new screen shots showcasing what you can expect the two new characters to look like and a bit of fight like. I for one am glad that they decided to go with the new Jill over the older Jill from MvC2. It kind of makes me feel like I can play as Samus as well as Jill in the game. Read More...

New Rift Cinematic Trailer
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 28th of January 2011 - 06:12 PM ]
With less than 24 hours until the latest Rift Beta ends, Trion Worlds releases its latest three minute cinematic trailer and it looks great. If you haven't heard about Rift yet this is the latest MMO from Trion Worlds coming out March 1st 2011. Rift pits the religion vs. technology in an epic war between two factions, the Guardians and the Defiants. Now we've seen that formula more than once but the kicker here is while you're busy fighting each other another war wages on from the skies as Rifts randomly open around the world and dump big baddies all over the ground to make your life miserable. "Adventure in the world of Telara as either a noble Guardian or techno-magical Defiant and enter a dynamic fantasy where 8 primal forces battle for control in an ever-changing landscape. Read More...
