A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Someone crank up the Queen as another week in video game news as bit the dust. Wow that was kind of a lame way to start out with but at least we have a whole lot of awesome video game new and updates for you to make up for it. Granted it is very Batman: Arkham Knight and The Wither 3 heavy when it is all boiled down but at least we had a nice look at the new controllers for Rock Band 4. Not to mention all of the excitement of Nintendo setting up some great themed areas at Universal Parks across the globe. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Nintendo and Universal Parks are teaming up to bring us all the Nintendo experiences we want in the real world It looks like all of us who ever wanted to wander into any of Nintendo's properties are going to be able to do just that sometime in the near future. It was announced that Nintendo is now partnering up with Universal Parks to bring some of their huge IPs to said parks around the world to let us all experience what a day in the life of Mario Mario would be like. Okay, well maybe not that far but there are going to be attractions and experiences at Universal Parks that will be solely focused on some of Nintendo's major IPs. At this time it has not been specified with games, stories, or characters Nintendo and Universal will be bringing but we can know that they just are coming. Read More...

A new behind the scenes video for Guitar Hero Live has been released to show a bit of the magic going into Guitar Hero Live If you are like me then you might have been curious as to how FreeStyleGames has accomplished the large venue crowds for Guitar Hero Live. We've seen them in the trailers and announcements for the game so far and it looks like they have captured the large audiences that come with being a rock star. It is about time that we try and break that illusion for you well before Guitar Hero Live hits the shelves and we get to pretending with the best of them. Want More Info On Guitar Hero Live? Of Course You Do
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of April 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
Activision and FreeStyleGames have released the entire Guitar Hero Live press announcement for all of our viewing pleasure Did you feel like there should have been more to the Guitar Hero Live announcement earlier this week? I know I should felt like there should have been a bit more. Especially since some of the other "buy-able" outlets were already talking about their impressions on having played with the new guitar controller for the game. Well as many of these big publishers do, Activision held a rather sizable event to show off Guitar Hero Live to the press before the official announcement to get them all prepped. Now, that presentation is out and available for us all to view and pretend to be a member of the press pretending to be rock stars with Guitar Hero Live. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Following yesterday's tease, Activision and FreeStyleGames have announced Guitar Hero Live to be the next reboot to the popular franchise Hot off the tease from yesterday we now officially have Guitar Hero Live and it is looking to reboot the franchise with some new features and a new peripheral for the game. We'll dig into all of that in a moment but here we have it; Guitar Hero Live is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Android, and iOS platforms sometime later this year. My money would be on late October or early November to compete with Rock Band 4 as well as get all of those holiday sales a little bit early. Read More...

Time To Build Our Way Into New Worlds With LEGO Dimensions
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of April 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
TT Games and Warner Bros. have announced LEGO Dimensions which is another title that mixes real toys with digital worlds Just in case you didn't have enough clutter around with Disney Infinity and Skylanders it looks like we are getting another toy-to-game mash-up with LEGO Dimensions. This would be the next new LEGO title coming from TT Games and Warner Bros.; at least if you forget about that LEGO Jurassic World title on its way as well. None the less we are getting LEGO Dimensions but the cool thing here is that the developers have taken a few great steps to separate this title from all of the other titles out there as you get to actually build the toys you will be sending into the game. Review — Tales From The Borderlands: Atlas Mugged
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of March 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Tales From The Borderlands — Atlas Mugged. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on Gearbox's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did It has been some time since we had the first episode for Tales From The Borderlands. In fact we had four holidays and a whole lot of snow in between the first episode and the second one. This scared me somewhat as the first episode was so well done that I thought all future episodes for Tales From The Borderlands were going to take this long to perfect. I truly hope they don't. This Week In Video Games 3/9/15 — 3/13/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of March 2015 - 11:04 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This week in video game news can totally be summed up with delays and Mortal Kombat X. Hells, even Mortal Kombat X had a delay announcement for the last gen systems. Nothing like what happened to Uncharted 4 and Homefront being delayed until 2016 but at least nothing was cancelled. This of course is all to go along with the showing off of two titles coming out here soon; Battlefield Hardline and Bloodborne. Like we had any worry on those video games being delayed though… As per the usual structure here, we have a nice little list showing off all of the video game news, information, and updates that we were lucky enough to cover during the week. Atlas Is Getting Mugged In Episode 2 Of Tales From The Borderlands
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of March 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The second episode for Tales From The Borderlands has a release date and a new trailer showing off some of the action we can all look forward to It's been some time since we had the last episode of Tales From The Borderlands hit our gaming machines. I guess it would be the first episode and there has been almost a 5 month gap in between which sadly looks like it is placing Tales From The Borderlands on the same level as releases for The Wolf Among Us. Maybe I am being a bit harsh here but this is one of my favorite titles from Telltale as of late and didn't want to have to wait until March 17th for the second episode. Yes, that is the date that we will be getting the second episode for the game. Read More...

Lady Hammerlock Is Coming To Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Lady Hammerlock was announced at PAX South 2015 to be a new DLC character for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel starting January 27th Hopefully you Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel fans were keeping a close eye on the news out of PAX South over the weekend as it looks like Lady Hammerlock is joining the rogue's gallery of characters you can play in the game starting tomorrow (1/27/15). For those not in the know Lady Hammerlock happens to be Sir Hammerlock's sister whom he himself has a bit of fear of. I'm guessing jealousy as well as Lady Hammerlock is the heiress to the Hammerlock fortune leaving her to be able to buy all of those cool toys we will be using to freeze and destroy the inhabitants of Pandora coming up soon. The Handsome Collection Brings Borderlands To The PS4 & XB1
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has been announced from 2K and Gearbox and is bring two of the franchise's titles to the PS4 and Xbox One We apparently wanted it so 2K is bringing the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection to give all of those PS4 and Xbox One players a chance to enjoy the franchise on their new shiny consoles. They've only been out for over a year now so we need more of the old shit rehashed to pay for the future of the development studio and publisher for the Borderlands franchise. Also to allow for a "new generation" of gamers to experience the titles that came out during their generation but that is neither here nor there. Read More...
