Gate Jumping From PAX
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of September 2009 - 11:07 PM ]
Even though you may not have been able to make it to PAX this year, for what ever reason or another, don't think you are going to be left out in the dark on fun content updates. Fun content like new screen shots and the fact behind Jumpgate Evolution from Codemasters. Like the ones that we swiped on placed here for you. You know down below, where they usually on when we bring up the fact that there are new screens. This MMO looks very interesting from the facts and images here though. Read More...

Climax Action Comes to the Tokyo Game Show
by Kevin [ Friday, 4th of September 2009 - 05:10 PM ]
The more I hear and read about Bayonetta, the more I can appreciate the game for what it is - or what it potentially will be. You've heard how the protagonist essentially becomes more and more naked with different attacks, and how her hair transforms into weapons, and how the game contains "Torture Combos", "Witch Time", and "Non-Stop Climax Action". However, what you don't know is that I actually met with Sega for a game similar in both tone and style which I dubbed Thana-Nude the Pistolista. My game, which contained "Hot Sticky Combination Attacks", "Uncomfortable Whimpering Time", as well as "Parent Angering Immoral Fatal Thrust Strikes", focused on Thana-Nude - a 'death fairy ronin' who fell from the sky after the great seperation of the Lost Tombs of Zeebs in the Seventh Ascenion. Assassinating Never Looked So Good
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of September 2009 - 07:52 PM ]
As Ubisoft promised, just before PAX we are given the little gem of an Assassin's Creed 2 gameplay video. Why they did it before, I have no clue. But I'm not going to complain and neither will you after you get to see how awesome the new game has shaped up. So many more improvements over the first Assassin's Creed and so many new features added, not that the first one was rubbish. It wasn't at all. Ubisoft just did the sequel very right. Read More...

Dark Days Are Continuing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of September 2009 - 04:31 PM ]
While Funcom has stated they were going to finally be showing more of their new IP, The Secret World, that doesn't stop stuff from being slipped out to cause a stir around the net. This time it is the continuation of the trailer we brought you way back in April. I'm sure you've seen it by now. It is the one with the random hot chick drinking a milk shake, going into her apartment, and then being attacked by mister bondage face. Ring a bell? No? Read More...

Blizzcon 2009 Day 2
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 28th of August 2009 - 07:34 PM ]
Day 1 came and gone in a flash... of light. From the opening ceremony to shopping around to visiting many of the booths to the Costume, Dance & Sound A-Like Contest at the end of the day, I was wearing out really fast. For Day 2, I knew I had to plan out what I needed to do and the time to do it in. As I rolled into the convention center, again I saw the nerds, geeks and dorks in line waiting for hours to be one of the first to get into the convention center. As I waited in line, I talked to those around me. Read More...

Blizzcon 2009 Day 1
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 24th of August 2009 - 06:01 PM ]
Never have I been in a place where I have seen so many nerds, geeks, and dorks in one area. Oh wait, yeah I have, as E3 and Comic-con were the other places. Just in case you didn't notice, Blizzard held their now annual event, Blizzcon, at the Anaheim Convention Center on August 21st and 22nd. Thousands of nerds, geeks, and dorks all gathered to see, play, and talk about Blizzard's 3 main franchises; Starcraft, Waracraft and Diablo. Friday morning, as I arrived to the convention center the first thing you would see are the nerds, geeks, and dorks waiting in line. Some of which stayed overnight to be one of the first few to get into the center. Read More...

Here Comes The Evil Pumpkins
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of August 2009 - 03:20 PM ]
Bright Shadow Coming To The U.S. While Blizzcon has come and gone and only a few announcements for the worlds largest MMO were made, that doesn't mean that other companies weren't working on making a few big splashes. Some of the big splashes to get a rather interesting Anime-styled MMO to North America for the first time ever. Not to mention the second game that Gamepot is bringing to North America. This MMO I am talking about is Bright Shadow. Read More...

With all the news flying out of Gamescon, you are no doubt thinking about PAX just 2 weeks away. For those of you lucky enough to attend, PAX will offer many unique experiences and plenty of time to go hands-on some fall releases. If you are going to be in attendance, I encourage you to visit the Torchlight booth (#872) and tryout one of the sleeper hits of E3 last June. Torchlight is a dungeon-crawling Action RPG from Runic Games, who just celebrated their first anniversary. New LBP DLC Will Totally Get You Wet
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of August 2009 - 05:05 PM ]
Sack it to Me – the "Big Announcements" Edition You ever hop into the level creator for LittleBigPlanet and feel like there was something missing. Something that stopped you from being able to faithfully recreate the entire game of Super Mario Bros. using their sandbox. Something you couldn't quite place your finger on. Something you had to muddle around with the jet packs a bit to get to work correctly as well as run a blue tint over the entire screen for immersion's sake. Ok, enough of that and on to the point. by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 20th of August 2009 - 02:49 PM ]
After a viral marketing scheme by LionsHead Studios, we finally see what all the hub-bub was about. If you haven't been watching, the LionsHead website has been showing leaders of our time (Abraham Lincoln for example) and quotes underneath each one followed by a number. The numbers were counting down each day until today. Today also happens to be the opening day for GamesCom 2009. LionsHead Studios officially announced Fable 3 as well as posted the new trailer today. Read More...

I Got A Great Big Bow Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of August 2009 - 11:32 AM ]
Hades Boss Fight Round 2 So on Monday we were able to give you a nice view of what the Lord of the Dead would be looking like. We've seen him only in a few minor shots in the God of War FMVs before that. But now we get one further peek at how this epic boss/boss fight will look and feel. All of this through some more screen shots from the game and what is being shown at GamesCom. I know it is all Hades vs. Kratos in those shots there, but it still looks amazingly stunning. It's A Story... Of A Clan Named Belmont...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of August 2009 - 03:56 AM ]
Konami Unmasks the Belmont Clan in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Just in case you forgot about the Castlevania game that has Hideo Kojima attached to it, due to being hit in the head with a baseball bat, let's give you a reminder. Yes, the man of Metal Gear Solid fame has his hands in the game. Yes, there are a lot of big names doing some of the Voice Overs. Yes it is a very well done looking next gen version of the franchise. But that was all that people knew of when they first announced and gave a short tease at E3 this year. Read More...

'Prince of Darkness' to be Final Boss at Closing Concert Instance
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 11th of August 2009 - 03:28 PM ]
If you are one of the "lucky" individuals who either bought a ticket before Blizzcon sold out in minutes or who paid a lot for a ticket on eBay (*cough* you know who you are *cough*), you should be excited to find out that Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness himself, will be headlining the closing concert of the show in less than two weeks. Ozzy is already associated with the World of Warcraft universe through commercials for their latest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. Do not worry not-attending WoW-heads for Blizzard has also taken the time today to remind you that you can still purchase the Pay Per View special of Blizzcon on DirecTV for the minimal cost of $39.
