This past weekend gave us the 6th beta test for Rift, the latest MMO title by Trion games. Probably one of the more successful stress tests I've seen so far. Now not even 24 hours after the beta closed we get news that an open beta will be available starting next week! It has been announced that Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath were coming to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 as DLC for a short while now, but how are they going to look? Well I am sure your eyes have already drifted south for a second to see that we have a slew of new screen shots showcasing what you can expect the two new characters to look like and a bit of fight like. With less than 24 hours until the latest Rift Beta ends, Trion Worlds releases its latest three minute cinematic trailer and it looks great. If you haven't heard about Rift yet this is the latest MMO from Trion Worlds coming out March 1st 2011. Rift pits the religion vs. technology in an epic war between two factions, the Guardians and the Defiants. Now we've seen that formula more than once but the kicker here is while you're busy fighting each other another war wages on from the skies as Rifts randomly open around the world and dump big baddies all over the ground to make your life miserable. CES is generally not known for the game developers rocking out their new products and IPs. That is what E3 is for and we all know that. Capcom likes to break the mold and show up in force every year just to spread a bit more of the word on all of their upcoming titles. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow came and went. It was a great addition to the franchise in my opinion but the replay on the game is almost nonexistent. Once you beat the main game and then clean up the challenges and Paladin play-through there really is not much more to do with the game. It just sits on the shelf collecting dust like all of tomes in the Vampire's castle. To make sure this isn't going to happen too long, it would seem that Konami is dishing out some DLC to give you more reason to head back. Read More...

This weekend Bethesda revealed their latest endeavor with a new Elder Scrolls series during the Spike TV VGA's. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the long awaited sequel to Oblivion. The teaser doesn't give us much except for a little bit of story and some awesome stone wall which comes to life. If you want to take a full look at the wall check out the Skyrim teaser site. Skyrim also brings with it new technology, a new graphics/game play engine actually. Well I think we all saw this coming. Mass Effect 3 revealed its debut trailer at the Spike TV VGA show this weekend. This was by far one of the most anticipated announcements for the VGA's, with BioWare running a Facebook and Twitter campaign leading up to its debut. Mass Effect 3 is slated for a holiday 2011 release, but as we all know that can change. This is the final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy, focusing on Commander Shepard and his battle against the Reapers, except this time they've decided to hit home and invade planet Earth! With how the Uncharted franchise boomed and wowed us gamers is it really shocking that a third game is coming? Not at all. Especially since the sequel did something that is relatively not done in entertainment. That is being better than the original. Now it is time to see if Naughty Dog can again out do themselves in making an awesome game. I saw this coming since they announced it. Looks like the exclusive, for now, PlayStation Rewards Program is going to start adding "Quests" into the mix of ways to increase to the next tier of rewards. Yep, you will be able to get those awesome yellow question marks off the website or however you are able to check you progress. Then you can perform the task and turn it in for a little more of whatever they are calling XP for this. Two months ago the company known as Realtime Worlds announced that the First-Person-Shooter-MMO All Points Bulletin was shutting down, and being laid to rest. Many people fought to get their money back, and EA was pretty cool about the whole thing. Not knowing if it would ever be revived, rumors started flying that companies around the globe were looking at buying APB and its fate was held in the balance.
