WCG's The Ultimate Gamer You may have heard of this, but you also may not have. What is it, well like the header alludes to, it is a new reality TV show on Sci Fi showing who is the ultimate gamer out of a selection of 12 professional, and extremely good gamers. Yes, I know it sounds odd at first, but let me explain, or at least watch the trailer below, or check out their site. See, not only do they take real gamers, people you might have actually played against at some point, but they also test them to see if they can do these virtual skills in the real world as well. Not to mention if they can handle the gaming side under different and unusual circumstances. Read More...

Kijuju... Once again, we are hit with a new piece of the Resident Evil 5 marketing. All with another bizarre press release, shown below, to get more out there and drive up excitement for this game. Which works for me. Even though it is very weird to open up my email to just get things like this. I'm surprised it has yet to be pushed onto my spam folder. Kijuju... They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju…They are in Kijuju… Weird right? Resident Evil 5 Demo Premiers Exclusively on Xbox 360 Starting January 26 Who says that Capcom doesn't care about us Americans? They do. They just have a specific time frame for giving us slathering fans of Resident Evil what we want. This time in two stages. Granted anyone who has a web connection or knows how to download things outside of the US region have already had their hands on these, but you will be able to get them though XBox Live without having to work around language issues. On the 16th, that's in 2 days from now, Live users can download the game trailer shown at the Tokyo Game show last year, 2008. It has been around the net for a bit, but there is something about watching videos on a nice large TV over a little youtube window. Read More...

Get LocoRoco 2 for the Cost of Just Two Movie Tickets! Given the times that money is suppose to be tight, it would be nice to be able to manage your entertainment money in the right way. Right? No need to shell out the cash of crappy films or films that will make you ball like a little kid who just had their candy stolen from them by an evil kleptomaniac. Unless you are into that over playing an addictive game. Well just to give you an alternative to going to the above mentioned, Sony is placing out LocoRoco 2 for the cost of taking a date to go see a film. Read More...

Killzone 2 PS3 Bundle Coming to Europe Sony like their bundles it would seem. Almost as much as they like not dropping the price of their system. And from the look of things, they like pumping them out for everyone but the US. At least at first. But that's just a minor thing. I'm being nit picky. Well if you have yet to guess it, there is a full on Killzone 2 PS3 bundle that is going to flooding the market come release date of the new game. As a matter of fact, in some European locations it will be out 2 days before game launch. Sorry there is not a list of these locations as of yet. Read More...

Dark Templar Vote So it looks like Blizzard wants to know what the players of their Star Craft Franchise want as a character in their new IP, Star Craft II. It seems that they want the actual community to choose their favorite since the game is for them and it should be tailored toward them. Not a bad idea from my stand point. But as of right now you can go onto the below link and vote which character you want to have in the new game, when it finally comes out. Your choices are: Lenassa Tribe:This unit carries a single warp blade, and a cloth shroud covers its face. Read More...

Funcom to close over half of Conan servers Do you remember how about 10 months ago there was this game that was all the hype. I think it was called Age of Conan. Yea that's the one. The game that was plagued with a lot of build up and no pay off. Buggy as hell and pretty much done in a way that an MMO should not have been placed out there. Can you sense the upset from me? Well if you do, and if you are one of the few players that are still into the game, then it may sadden you to know that they are closing down 31 of their servers that gamers where once playing on. Home Details From CES 2009 Those of you who are not all that thrilled with Home as of yet, I have some good news. Lets just hope it stays that way. One of the things I had to ask the Sony and in turn the Home people was about the content of Home. They didn't want to comment much on the failed release time frames, but that's ok. What they did have to show as well as inform me on. First, the long awaited Helghast skin for your Home toon to wear. Read More...

Finally Some Straight Answers So last week I brought the news about a San Disk that was made for Rock Band 2 on the Wii. Check it here. It raised some questions about the need to have it and if you had to actually buy this one to use it to get some great DLC for the Wii version of the game. Well after trying to track someone down at CES that knew the answers, I finally got them near the end of the show on Sunday. Yes 4 days of tracking for you guys. I hope you appreciate it. Commentary On LittleBigPlanet From Some Of The Design Team There is no doubt that LittleBigPlanet, which will from here on be referred to as LBP, was a huge game for the PS3. There are almost 2 million copies out there in the wild currently. Why is that? Well if you haven't seen or played it, it is part and partial to the fact that their sandbox word that lets players build their own levels. It is very robust and hundreds of thousands of custom levels already built. But this is not what this is about. Read More...

3D Vision With NVidia and Panasonic So you think that the games and movies you watch are 3D. Well at least rendered that way. They are, but your eyes of course still only process it still in 2D. Meaning you don't get any depth processed into your brain. That is where the two above companies stepped up and said "Hey! Lets go one step further." After playing around and testing out these systems, the future of gaming, not to mention just home entertainment will be changing. Read More...

Resident Evil 5 Comparison So while at the Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada over the weekend, I actually got to play Resident Evil 5 at the Capcom party. I did not get a chance to play it while displayed on the side of the Planet Hollywood, which was awesome although cold, but I did get to play it where they had the two versions running side by side. Exact same monitors and connections. The only difference is the systems they were running on. Read More...

HP Firebird 803 tower So when I first heard about this little marvel, I was a little skeptical. It just did not look like ti would have the power behind what was claimed. I mean, look at the picture there and tell me it does not look like it is something like an E-Machine. But it packs a serious punch. I mean look at the specs below. Those are the ones for the $1800 version. Read More...

Killzone 2 at CES 2009 Killzone 2 at CES 2009 So while palling around the Sony booth at this years CES, I stumbled upon the area where they had Killzone 2 set up. The display there was not all that stand out, but it was a great find to come across. While there, I figured I would take in some of the cinematics of the game. That was until I bumped into Kyle Shubel, Managing Producer for Killzone, and he offered up a taste of the game. So being me, I walked away with my head hung low startled that someone talked to me.
