A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Games, games, and more games has been the huge theme for the last few weeks. Not just in news but in video game releases. Hells, this week we had yet another two reviews (Adventure Time: The Secret Of The Nameless Kingdom and Escape Dead Island) and we have more to come. Just think what is going to happen here in a few weeks when we get all of the news out of the PlayStation Experience and The Game Awards. Only two weeks to go until we get all of that heaped into our eyes and thus our grey matter. Read More...

A new trailer for Dying Light has been released to show off some of the 'traps' that we will get to use to handle the zombie plague I think my definition of traps is vastly different than those of the people behind Dying Light's marketing. We have a new trailer for Dying Light just below that claims to show off the traps of the game but most of what is show is that of the player using the environment to their advantage and nothing lying in wait. The whole point of a trap is to set something up so that you can have it spring on something while you are busy handling something else isn't it? Semantics aside though we do get to see some more fun ways to kill the infected in Dying Light. Read More...

A new interview for Tales From The Borderlands from Gearbox has been released showing off what the original dev team has to say about their IP getting the Telltale treatment It looks like Gearbox has a few choice words to use when talking about Tales From The Borderlands and how it is being handled by Telltale. Gearbox has offered up the overall narrative for Tales From The Borderlands as it will affect the way any future iterations of the Borderlands franchise will play out but everything else is on Telltale. In this most recent interview from the original team that made us fall in love with their first person shooter they have a few things to say and they are all… Very positive. Read More...

The nominees for The Game Awards have been announced and some are still open for YOU to vote on Love the idea or hate it but The Game Awards are coming here in a few weeks and the nominees and categories have been announced. Some of these were done yesterday via Geoff Keighley and the organization's official Twitch account. The bulk of them were released directly on The Game Awards website. A site that kind of makes things a bit difficult to get all the information you want in one quick and easy way so I've taken it upon myself to give the quick and easy way to look at all the games, developers, and performers that will be up to win whatever prize or trophy The Game Awards is offering up. The first teaser trailer for Game Of Thrones from Telltale has been released and confirms a few things that have been in question to date We now have an official teaser trailer for Game Of Thrones' first episode, Iron From Ice, and it pretty much confirms all of those 'leaked' screenshots from earlier were for the episode and the game from Telltale. Now we just have to wait patiently for the official release announcement so we can boot up Game Of Thrones on our PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and/or PC. It should still be sometime next month if Telltale is to keep their word on the first episode releasing before the end of this year. Read More...

We Sit Down And Review Escape Dead Island. It is a new spin on the Dead Island franchise all to expand the franchise but does it? None The Less Here Is Our Review The time is upon us to try and Escape Dead Island. No not to try and escape the need for the franchise but to actually play through and hopefully enjoy Fatshark's new take on the Dead Island franchise and to give us a bridge until the next major sequel to the core franchise hits our gaming shelves. Do Deep Silver and Fatshark have a great title for us on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC or is the cell shading style just as dead as the zombies we need to escape from. Here's what I have to say in my review of Escape Dead Island. Read More...

A few new details for Wander have been released for us to better understand the MMO that is all about exploration and not combat That's right we have a non-combat based MMO title coming soon called Wander. It is all about the exploration and story here and it looks like it could fill a niche that has yet to be tapped in the MMO genre. I have a feeling that you all are flipping your lids in one direction or the other here for Wander now and wondering how this will all work when it launches in March for the PC and PS4. Good thing you have me. Read More...

New screenshots and video for Narcosis have been released giving us all a taste of what the game is all about Before we dig into the new visuals for Narcosis let's break down what the game is all about…like the Hokey Pokey. Narcosis is a "survival story set in the hostile depths of the Pacific Ocean." Pretty much you take the role of an industrial diver who is stranded in the depths of the ocean after some kind of accident and you need to get to the surface before your oxygen – and sanity – give out. That was lifted right from the Narcosis site though and not me paraphrasing or (un)sensationalizing the copy at all. Read More...

We Sit Down And Review Adventure Time: The Secret Of The Nameless Kingdom. Does It do the franchise justice or is it another cash in for the kids who love this stuff? None the less here is our review What time is it?! It's Adventure Time… well at least it's time for us to review Adventure Time: The Secret Of The Nameless Kingdom. Of course this would be the latest installment for the franchise in video game form from WayForward Technologies and Little Orbit for the PS3, PS Vita, Xbox 360, 3DS, and PC. The first time I believe an Adventure Time title has been on these specific platforms and the 3DS but that's another issue. Read More...

Another hidden Batman: Arkham City Easter Egg from Calendar Man has been solved by some eagle eyed and brilliant fan of the franchise If you though that you have 100% completely found all the hidden secrets of Batman: Arkham City or just found everything then you are going to be in for a shock. It looks like there is a new Easter Egg from Calendar Man that pretty much everyone has missed up until RockSteady Games began posting hints and clues to something missed. It only took three years now but it looks like there is a 13th conversation from the villain outside of what was required to get the Trophy/Achievement for talking to the character over the course of the year. For those who may not know, during Batman: Arkham City on specific real world dates the villain Calendar Man said something new around the events or holiday involved for the date. Read More...

Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris has gone gold and now we have a nice look at the puzzles crafted by Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix to kill us So Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris has gone gold and releases in only a few weeks. This of course is the four-player co-op title that is slated to keep all of us sated as we wait for Rise Of The Tomb Raider next year and moving forward if you happen to not be a Xbox One gamer. Luckily Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris is coming to the PS4 and PC as well so all of us needing a good fix for Lara Croft have an option. Thanks Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix. Read More...

More Japanese gameplay for Tekken 7 has surfaced and it shows off two new characters and new mechanics like Power Clash If you've been waiting for Namco Bandai to give us updates for Tekken 7 you can stop waiting for a bit. We have some new gameplay footage, new characters, and some new mechanics for the franchise. Unfortunately all of the dialog explaining everything is in Japanese so if you don't speak the language you will need to continue reading my drivel to get what you are seeing here. Although even that is kind of second hand knowledge from someone else's translations. Read More...

IGN Has Shown Off The New Medic For Evolve Named Caira And She Can Heal You While Blowing You Up We still have not heard Hyde nor hair of a new monster yet for Evolve but I think that is going to come after we get through all the new hunters for the game. We are down to one more, maybe, as we have our new Medic for the game named Caira. That leaves one more Assault and then hopefully a new monster. Of course these are all the hunter characters that we should have when Evolve launches next year (2/10/15) on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

Time to crack open some wine and have a gander at the 'leaked' Game Of Thrones screenshots from Telltale Games' upcoming rendition of the franchise Just like Star Trek fans all of those Game Of Thrones fans are just as rabid and trying to find any little extra they can when the franchise has something else coming out. In this case it looks like someone found some great Game Of Thrones screenshots for the upcoming title that Telltale Games is working on for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Up until now we've had very sly teases from the developer as to what we could expect from the game but nothing all too concrete or as to the style that we could expect to see Game Of Thrones take. A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Thus concludes week one in the insanity of video game releases. We've had a plethora of titles just drop and many more in the coming weeks leading up to December. Hells, we even had two reviews this week for #killallzombies and Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare here and have yet to even scratch the surface of all the titles that have been causing a stir in the video game industry. Yes, that is a slight jab at Assassin's Creed there but we'll leave the heavy stuff for all of those other outlets who can trash talk and not worried about getting black balled in the industry. Moving on to what we did have here though in the way of video game news. Read More...
