The release date for Life Is Strange 2’s first episode has been set and we will be playing more than a demo for Life Is Strange 2 soon While we all may be playing the demo for Captain Spirit right now, we may have also missed that Life Is Strange 2 is heavily linked to it in some way and now we know that it will not be a huge wait to see how that is. That is, DontNod has not only released the new title there but also set down a firm release date for the first episode of the core game to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We can now look to September 27th to get the first episode of Life Is Strange 2 to carry on the story and see how this world is getting further expanded out there. Read More...

New content for Hunt: Showdown is coming and there was a sneak peek of it all when Hunt: Showdown was presented at E3 Even more content is coming to Hunt: Showdown here in short order and we all had a nice little look at it during E3 here recently. That is at least if you watched the PC Gaming event that took place or any of the many Twitch streams that Crytek took part in during the event. If you missed out on those somehow, we have you covered as we have a look at a few of the new things coming to Hunt: Showdown in its Early Access form. Not only that, but what could be coming soon to this version of it and thus the PS4 and Xbox One after it has been put through the ringer on the PC. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see Just Cause 4 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Just Cause 4. One of the other many titles that could not be kept under wraps for E3 this year was Just Cause 4. Just before the main event kicked off, it was leaked out there that the game was coming but little of anything else. I am sure that Avalanche Studios was thankful for that as it allowed them to still cause a big splash during the show and get fans of the franchise all hyped up for the December 4th release date for the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It also made it easy for Square Enix to slide Just Cause 4 into all of its things out there as well as show a bit more to those of us who were able to go behind some closed doors out at E3. While at E3, I was able to see Control in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Control. Another of the interesting titles that we saw get the reveal out at this year's E3 was Control from Remedy. It came at us all with a weird and unusual trailer, as was to be expected, and made a huge splash during the Sony conference where 505 Games opted to show it all off to the world. Maybe to hit home that their game was going to be on all platforms here or just the right place to unleash Control to the world. Either way, it was announced and slated to hit us in 2019 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see Project 1v1 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Project 1v1. It has been almost a year since we first heard about Project 1v1 and were given so very little on what the game be bringing with it. The title alone kind of gives us all an idea on what Gearbox is working on for the game, but there has not been anything specific given out there before E3. That is why I was pleased to see that it would be on hand during the event and ready for some to play. I happened to be part of that some to get to place my hands on Project 1v1 during the event to see what this game had to offer up on the PC. Read More...

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has been another great week and there has been a lot of video games to go over since E3 2018 ended. We still have even more that we have to talk about and bring to you next week, so hopefully you are not tired of it all just yet. How could you be with the great look at Cyberpunk 2077 we all had, the expansion of news for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, and a deeper look at Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Of course, not to discount the other video games out there like Mutant Year Zero and such. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see World War Z in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on World War Z. Leading up to E3 this year there has been so very little shown or discussed for World War Z. It was teased back in December during the Game Awards, but since then there has not been much out of Saber Interactive on what the game will actually house and look like. I mean, it is a World War Z game so we can make easy assumptions as to what it would look like, but nothing much as to how it would actually play. That is why it was so very nice of them to bring it out to play during the show and give us all a better understanding of what the game will truly hold. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see Overkill’s The Walking Dead in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Overkill’s The Walking Dead. During all of the build-up to E3 we finally had a chance to see some of the gameplay we can expect for Overkill’s The Walking Dead. It was not much, but enough to give a feeling for where Starbreeze could be taking the game and I know I had many speculations on just where it would go. Speculation no more, though, as 505 Games brought me in to actually sit down and give this addition to the The Walking Dead universe that Overkill has been putting together. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit. Another of the outside the realm of the usual at E3 came The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit during the Microsoft media event and it is the bridge between the original Life Is Strange and the upcoming second full title in the franchise. DontNod is back at the helm for the franchise here and it looks like they also have Square Enix bringing it to us on June 26th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All for the low price of free, so we can eliminate the cost being a reason to skip out on this new narrative adventure. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see A Plague Tale: Innocence in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on A Plague Tale: Innocence. Another E3 has come and we had another year where we had a chance to check out A Plague Tale: Innocence. This would be that interesting stealth-adventure game that Asobo Studio has been working on that is set in 14th century France where we are being swarmed by rats and need to survive. Not only that but in A Plague Tale: Innocence the innocence stands refers to the protagonist(s) of the story as we take on the role of two young children in the mix of all of this. Time to add another dark yet interesting title to the list for Focus Home Interactive. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see Dying Light 2 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Dying Light 2. How Dying Light 2 was kept under wraps so well before E3 this year is beyond me but I am glad for the great little surprise it was when the announcement hit us all. It was a game that we all were fairly certain that Techland was working on and then we all were able to see it in full action. Especially being part of the original Dying Light community that is still hunting down things in the game and experience everything that there is to play in the game. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see SoulCalibur VI in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on SoulCalibur VI. There seemed to be many fighting games out on the show floor at E3, which is good for the genre, but some of the good old franchise was out breathing life into themselves and SoulCalibur VI was another one of them out there. Do not think this is a bad thing as it is good to see that Bandai Namco has not abandoned the game and trying a few new things. Especially based on what they had on the show floor for us to play. While at E3, I was able to see Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden. Earlier in this year we first caught wind of Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden and its interesting look and design drew me in. It has been a while since I was able to play a good turn-based combat game and it looked like The Bearded Ladies was right on par with trying to bring one to us. Not only that, but also bring one to us based on a classic tabletop game I have never heard of before but many of the team had grown up enjoying. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see Cyberpunk 2077 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Cyberpunk 2077. After a nice five year gap of silence, we were all finally treated to our first look at Cyberpunk 2077 and where the game currently stands in the development cycle. Some out there were able to see the nice new trailer that CD Projekt RED put together to be shown. Others, like myself, were treated to a behind closed doors showing of Cyberpunk 2077 that featured a whole lot of gameplay. Read More...

While at E3, I was able to see Hitman 2 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Hitman 2. We all knew it was coming and then it was secured when Hitman 2 received the official announcement just before E3 this year. Given how well the last one was received and still is played today, it would have been a bad move on IO Interactive to not follow it up with another great addition to the franchise and continue the story that sucked us in recently. They may have moved over to Warner Bros. to get the game out there, but that is not a bad thing at all as they also had Hitman 2 on the floor to play and see just where the game has progressed to.
