Severed Steel
A new shooter is announced, Severed Steel, with Severed Steel giving us some one-armed gunslinging fun in the virtual world
It can be a hard thing to try to feel fresh in the shooter genre of video games, but every now and then we see something as we have for Severed Steel here that is aiming to do that. In this instance, we are seeing a game where we are flowing through the craziness of the bullet storm as a one-armed gunslinger. A bold move for Greylock Studio and Digerati to go with as that can make reloading a bit difficult. Thankfully for Severed Steel, it looks like there is a solid mechanic mixed into it all to make sure we are not just sitting around counting bullets when the game hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
So to combat this setback that our protagonist does have in Severed Steel, we are looking at the fact that we will need to use some amazing gunplay mixed in with bullet time to collect the dropped weapons of our enemies. Something that will need to be kept moving fluidly as we make our way through some of the stylish other moves we can pull and the destructive world that is being built. It does look like it is borrowing from a few other titles in the same way, but Severed Steel looks to have an adrenalin meter we will be able to use to slow down time to make those perfect dodges and maneuvers to cover or other objects in the rooms. It looks very entertaining, to say the least.

Does the world of Severed Steel look like one you are going to be excited to dive into or will it be something that you might want to skip for now? Do you think it will get a little too tedious to shoot, count, drop, and pick up all the various guns in the game or will it flow just as we see above? Do you think we will be able to blast our way through every wall in the game or will there be some part of the world that will not be destructible as the claim is above? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If there is more to Severed Steel, know it will be here for you. Just keep checking back for all of that and much more.
