Daymare: 1998 Is Here To Frighten All Of Those Console Gamers

Daymare

The console release for Daymare: 1998 is here for those waiting to give Daymare a go on the PS4 or Xbox One

The time is finally here and those that have been waiting to play Daymare: 1998 on the PS4 or Xbox One will be able to do so now. As in, right now as it looks like Invader Studios' title is out there for you to pick up on the platforms. Good news for those out there that wanted to get in on the 90s feel that Daymare is bringing but lacked a solid PC to play the game on. It was not a beast of a title that required a whole lot of power but even today there are many that do not have a system that can properly give off the gaming experience the same way. That and some players just like the feel of a good controller in their hands.

Sure, you may have been spoiled on Daymare: 1998 if you watched anyone else out there play it on their PC or any of the various spoiler-filled things out there as the game did hit in September of last year, but there is no true feeling like playing it for yourself. Hells, having a little more horror in our lives to distract from the real-world should also be wanted. More so if you powered through the Resident Evil 3 remake and were looking for a little more like it. Daymare: 1998 is based around the look and feel of Resident Evil 2 from way back when so you get your horror and your nostalgia all rolled up into one package. If that is what you want right now.

Daymare: 1998 — Console Release

Publisher Destructive Creations and developer Invader Studios are proud to announce the release of the console versions of Daymare: 1998, the successful classic survival horror game that recreates the look and feel of beloved works from the ’90s and plunges players into a familiar yet fresh story. With backtracking, ammo management, collectible lore items, environmental puzzles, and gut-twisting challenges, players can rewind a couple of decades back into a terrifying daymare.

Initially formed to create a fan-based remake of the famous Resident Evil 2, the development team at Invader Studios marks another significant milestone with the console release of their original IP Daymare: 1998, bringing the game to a new audience of survival horror fans who missed out on the PC release. Slipgate Ironworks Studios was a valuable partner in the porting process and helped bring the game to consoles.

A faithful homage to survival horror classics and the era of the 90s, Daymare: 1998’s atmosphere, storyline, characters, classic gameplay mechanics and difficulty, and Easter eggs all blend together to create an experience that fans of the original masterpieces of the genre will appreciate.
