“We are pleased to be working with Facebook to integrate their platform with Battle.net to enhance the social-entertainment experience for our players,” said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. “This new funtionality will make it easier than ever to connect with friends on Battle.net and play StarCraft II and future Blizzard Entertainment games together.” |
The new server will be tested sometime in the near future with the on going beta testing with StarCraft II and will be available when the game is released later this year.
My Take:
I am sure this is a great idea at first to have all of your friends who plays Blizzard games to be added to your friend list. But what about those not on your list and wants to add you. Will they be able to add you as well or will it ask you if that person wants to add you and you can accept or decline. Or is it another way for people to stalk you. Who knows but hopefully we will keep you updated as we get more information about this system on a later date.
