.curator Is Teased To Bring Us A New Dynamic Adventure To Find Our Way Through

curator

Become a new kind of Curator in an upcoming title written by a name in Sci-Fi, with the teaser for .curator

We've seen a few games out there with a similar character as we have for the title of this one, but here we go with the teaser for .curator. A new title on the way to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC from STRTL Games, with the fun little bit that it will be brought to life by Richard K. Morgan. That would be the creator of Altered Carbon for those not fully up on all of the entertainment lore out there. That is a bit of news for .curator, as Morgan will be the writer of the game and will carry it forward as each of the chapters of the story is fed out to us. That's at least the basics from the start, as this is only a teaser, but worth noting, since this is going to be an episodic game out there. Let's see what else this one is going to hold for us once it is ready to hit the market.

Having the big writing name attached is fun, but that doesn't mean much if .curator is not going to have some good gameplay in the mix. That is where things get a little odd here for the game, as we don't have much of the gameplay to go on for it. We know it is going to be set in a post-Victorian world with hand-drawn visuals, but there's also a bit of cyberpunk or Sci-Fi mixed in here. There is going to be a bit of investigation going on with the Curator we're playing as, but also a bit of combat and stealth in the mix as well. All so we can move from chapter to chapter in the story to influence how the future of the world will be shaped. A little all over the place, but this is just a teaser to take in. You can see what is being teased a little further down, but it would have been better to just get a full gameplay look instead of the build-up to what might be coming. That's just me, and maybe you'll be able to get more out of the following to get excited for.

.curator — Teaser

.curator — a brand new dynamic adventure game, written by the creator of Altered Carbon, Richard K. Morgan, and brought to life by a seasoned international team under the banner of STRTL Games. Hand-drawn characters and environments, innovative and original gameplay design, a compelling journey to influence and modify the future in a world that responds to the choices you make. .curator is released as an episodic series — purchasing the game grants access to Episode One, with future episodes arriving as separate DLC.

  • Explore a familiar yet uniquely different post-Victorian world to understand and learn its power dynamics
  • Investigate the relics and ruins of a mysterious ancient alien civilisation in this world’s past, and make them safe for human hands — if you can!
  • Discover the corruption at the heart of the regime and face it down.
  • Wield the awe-inspiring technologies of Quantum Sleet modelling to subtly shift events in favour of safer, more humane outcomes and a better future for all
  • Upgrade your physical and mental capabilities with neural overclock, taking your mind and body beyond its previous limits
  • Use stealth to slip unperceived into the corridors of power and back streets of history to work your changes and then leave as if you were never there
  • Bend the Quantum Sleet technology to your will to deal with unexpected random factors and emergency situations
  • Fight, hide, distract, or charm — it’s your choice
  • Get to know your very own onboard AI assistant, C.R.I.S.S.I., consult her on your decisions, take her advice — or don’t.
  • Make irrevocable, life-and-death decisions as you carry out your mission, and see the impact of your choices play out in the future you have crafted
  • Deal with the trauma of your past mistakes and crimes as a curator, as you try to find your way to some kind of redemption and hope for a better tomorrow

It is no easy thing to be a Curator. Will you be equal to the challenge? Only time will tell.

Will the .curator be more about the writer than the actual gameplay to experience? How will the blending of the past and future fit into the broader narrative? Will the episodes be paid for each time we have one release, or will we get them all after making one payment to the game? Does the hand-drawn look truly sell you on a video game when they are going to be manipulated as we get into the gameplay? Let's hear it all out there in the comment section of the page here. There's going to be more for .curator in the future, since this is only a tease for the game. Make sure to watch the site and all of our socials to see when there's something new to enjoy for the game. Be it this one or any of the others that are always in the works out there.
