Amsterdam
See how the two characters of 1666: Amsterdam are going to interact across the timeline as they wander the streets of Amsterdam
The twists and turns of 1666: Amsterdam keep on coming at us, and we now get to see two of the protagonists who're at the center of it all. At least those who are in the past of the game, with Panache Digital Games giving us all a look at Noa and Aaron from the game as we wait to see how it shakes out for the PC. These would be the witch in the far past of 1666: Amsterdam, and the cat, respectively. Well, Aaron isn't always a cat, since he is the protagonist in the 1999 portion of the game. Isn't all the time travel stuff weird? Let's explain how it will work when the game is fully ready for us to experience.
As you will see in the following video, Noa is a witch of sorts in Amsterdam back in 1666. Aaron seems to be just a normal guy in 1999 who is visiting the area for the turn of the millennium. Some magic happens, and Aaron's consciousness is sent back to the past to inhabit a cat that works along with Noa. As the video goes on to show, Aaron will not stay in the past for the whole game, but it will be a bit of the gameplay we can expect in the world of 1666: Amsterdam. All as we hunt down the Originals across time, and then try to make sense of things in the new magical space. I'm going to assume that for Aaron, the time passes in an instant or a dream, or his partner is going to be freaking out in the current time of things. Something that will cause all manner of weirdness going forward into the future. Have a look and see the two in action.
1666: Amsterdam — Noa & Aaron
Meet Noa, heir to an ancient lineage of Zaindaris tasked with hunting down the Originals, and Aaron, mysteriously summoned 300 years into the past and trapped inside the body of a cat.
Bound together across centuries, the two must work as one to uncover hidden truths and confront an ancient force threatening the balance of the world.
This new Gameplay Feature also offers a closer look at the mystical tools and powers that shape Noa’s journey and the unique bond that defines their adventure.
Did you learn anything new for 1666: Amsterdam out of all of this? How much of the game will we be playing as the cat in the past? Will all of this feel like a dream for Aaron, and will that help explain why things aren't getting too weird in his present? How will the modern timeline factor into all of this in the game? Let's discuss what we can about the game in the comment section down the page here. We'll have whatever we can for 1666: Amsterdam up on the site and shared on all of our socials. So, you might want to make sure you are following along on all of those, so you don't miss out on all of the time we could spend in this game.
