BrokenLore: DON’T LIE Will Have Us All Withdraw From The World In The Coming Months

BrokenLore

The next title in the BrokenLore line is on the way, with a release date now set for BrokenLore: DON’T LIE

The titles keep on pumping out for this one, and now we know when BrokenLore: DON’T LIE will be launching out there into the world. Almost as fast as all of the other titles that Serafini Productions has been working on as of late, but not to the detriment of the product. That's the true sign of things, but a whole different topic. For now, we'll kick back and know that BrokenLore: DON’T LIE has a release date set for September 10th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of the game. So, just a little bit of a wait, and something to help give us a break from the many other titles that will be dropping around the same time. So many titles, but only so many horror titles at this point.

I know that September is a bit of a way off for those who want to play BrokenLore: DON’T LIE, but there's a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel for that wait right now. At least for the PC gamers out there. Along with this release date that we have for the game, there is currently a demo out on Steam to give us something to experience as we wait for the main game to launch. There's not much in the way of details for what it will hold, but it is something. Even if it might spoil some of the final experience when playing the full version of BrokenLore: DON’T LIE. I'm not your parent to tell you not to play the demo, but worth noting before you dive in and potentially spoil parts of the full game. I'll be holding off as much as I can, but figured I'd be remiss if I didn't add that little nugget in before letting you wander down the page to see the latest video we have to share for the game.

BrokenLore: DON’T LIE — Release Date

Wired Productions and acclaimed Japanese Studio Serafini Productions announced that BrokenLore: DON’T LIE, will launch on September 10, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Ahead of launch, players can play a brand-new demo, available today as part of Steam Next Fest. A Japanese psychological horror experience inspired by themes of isolation, trauma, and fractured memory, BrokenLore: DON’T LIE places players in the role of Junko, a hikikomori whose carefully controlled world begins to collapse as long-buried memories resurface.

Junko withdrew from the outside world years ago. Now, as reality begins to distort around her, familiar places become twisted reflections of her past, forcing her to confront the people, experiences, and emotions she has spent her life trying to escape.

Featuring Japanese voice acting throughout, BrokenLore: DON’T LIE combines exploration, investigation, psychological tension, and shifting realities as players uncover the truth hidden within Junko’s memories. As an unseen presence begins to watch and react to her actions, every discovery brings her closer to truths she may not be ready to face.

Players can expect:

  • A Japanese first-person psychological horror experience focused on exploration, investigation, and tension
  • A deeply personal story exploring trauma, loneliness, and emotional isolation
  • Distorted environments shaped by memory, fear, and perception
  • An unseen presence that responds to player behaviour
