Kingdom Hearts
The world of Kingdom Hearts is coming into a real setting with the latest teaser that we have for Kingdom Hearts IV
After four years of waiting, we finally have a new thing to be teased about when it comes to Kingdom Hearts IV. Not only did Square Enix give us so little before that we have had to speculate and dream about what the game could be, but then they made us wait so long to get something new. The gall to do that. Nonetheless, we are here with a new look at Kingdom Hearts IV to see where the IP is going and the places it will take us when it launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. When that will be is still up for debate, but it will land on all of the platforms at the same time when it does. That will be nice to have out there for once, and give those who have been behind on the games a chance to catch up all the way back up with the IP before then. Most likely, next year, but the little we have to go on could push that further out.
As we have been teased before, it looks as if Kingdom Hearts IV is going to be taking us into a realistic world out there, with very few signs of the Disney IPs coming in. That could just be how they want to market the game at this point, but that does feel a little concerning given the House of Mouse stuff going down. In the new tease we have, though, we get to see as Sora heads off to the city of Quadratum, where things are getting real. Both in the look of the town and its residents, but also that the darkness and Heartless seem to have been allowed access to it. Sora, Donald, and Goofy need to fight back in the over-the-top combat again, even if it does look as if Sora is doing more of the heavy lifting again. Not too uncommon in a Kingdom Hearts title, but worth noting that it feels highlighted in this teaser. Now, if only we could see how the rest of the universe and other aspects of the game could have been involved beyond the massive ink blob fight that we have to see in the following video.
Kingdom Hearts IV — Reveal
A new installment in the action role-playing series developed and published by Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts IV follows protagonist Sora and some familiar characters as they journey through the mysterious city of Quadratum. Sora will once again journey to various worlds, where new figures cross his path and new powers awaken in this next chapter. Kingdom Hearts IV will launch for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
After all of this time, did you expect to have a bigger showcase for Kingdom Hearts IV, or was this just to show that the team has been working on it to keep our hopes up? Why do you think we had so little of the Disney side of things in this video, and will we get to see the IP take us to more of the "live action" versions of the IPs instead? Do you think that all of the other characters will work as hard as Sora in the game, or will they only be used as background characters with Sora taking the center stage again? Let us hear those thoughts down in the comments so we can all discuss them. We hope that we are not going to have to wait four more years for a new update to Kingdom Hearts IV, but we will have all the updates we can on the website. Please keep checking back in to see all of those, and follow along on all of our social channels to see when it all goes live. You will not want to miss a single update that we can offer.
