Dead By Daylight Takes Us All To Camp With Jason As The Next Killer

Dead By Daylight

Jason will be making his run at the Dead By Daylight survivors soon, as Dead By Daylight finally gets to use the hockey mask

It has been a long time coming, but Dead By Daylight is finally going to be getting Jason in the mix out there as a Killer. As long as you can wait until just past June 13th for Tuesday the 16th to hit us all. That doesn't have the same ring to it, but that is when Behaviour will have this iconic Killer in the mix of things on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. That way, we can relive some of the fun we once knew through a different title, just in the Dead By Daylight universe. Along with all of the things that needed to shift to make sure the character fits into the gameplay loop, even if it always felt like the main Killers in this IP were somewhat inspired by Jason from the start. Either way, get your machetes ready for some blood.

Just as one would assume, given the world of Dead By Daylight, Jason will be a slow and stalking Killer in the mix. He will also have a Teleport ability and one that will allow him to see and hear the steps of the Survivors. All so he can make the perfect Jump Scare that will not only attack the Survivor, but also burst through anything that is destructible in the way. A lot as we have seen in some of the films. All to round out that Jason will be able to use the Dead By Daylight Hooks and other projectiles in the world to pin Survivors down to better close the distance. Okay, so many of the same things we have seen in the other title that had Jason as the star, but with the Fog twisting things a little bit. Not to mention some fun new skins to unlock, and most likely, a few Survivors from the IP to join in. As long as all of the copyright issues the IP has had don't hold any of that back. We'll know for certain in a few more weeks.

Dead By Daylight — Jason Is Coming

The mask is on. The machete is dripping. The massacre has begun.

Dead By Daylight: Jason.

06. 16. 26.

Few horror characters have proven to be as resourceful, creative, and viciously brutal as the man in the hockey mask. No matter where you run, it always feels as if he is right behind you. Even if he doesn’t have his machete in hand, rest assured, he’ll make do with whatever happens to be lying around.

It was important to capture several different aspects of Jason’s slaying methods in his Power, leading to a versatile and oppressive Killer capable of mobility, ranged brutality, and stealth.

Deadly Creativity: Exploring Jason’s Power

You’ll have access to a near-supernatural level of stealth, which offers the ability to teleport across the Map. During this state, you’ll be able to track Survivors by the sound of their footsteps, leaving a visible trail of mist in your wake.

Sometimes you have to improvise. Pick up a Projectile or Hook and launch it into a Survivor, potentially pinning them down with a successful hit. Once they are impaled, they’ll struggle as they try to remove the makeshift weapon, giving you ample time to close the distance.

When you find a target, you can unleash a vicious jump scare with your Jump Scare ability, shattering any breakable object in the process.

Trapped forever in a realm of eldritch evil where even death is not an escape, four determined Survivors face a bloodthirsty Killer in a vicious game of nerve and wits. Pick a side and step into a world of tension and terror with horror gaming's best asymmetrical multiplayer.

Did you ever give up on seeing Jason in Dead By Daylight before now? Does it sound like Jason will have a lot of the same abilities we saw in Friday The 13th: The Game? Will any of the Survivors be based on characters from the IP? Was it a miss to not drop Jason into the game on a 13th or to wait until after the new TV show started up?
