Metro
The world of Metro is carrying on forward, with the announcement we have for Metro 2039 that is on the way
It looks as if we are headed back into the tunnels again, with the announcement that Metro 2039 is on the way. Just that announcement and not much else, as 4A Games and Deep Silver are planning a larger announcement further into this week, but we have a nice little tease to let us know that Metro 2039 is going to be a thing. A nice bit of news after all of the other games that we have had, and the trip into the VR space that we were able to see not too long ago. Even if information about all of this is scarce, we can still kick back and try to speculate where things are going to go in this one. Especially with the bit of a shake-up we have had since the first title dropped.
All of that said, there is currently not much else to say about Metro 2039 at this point. Even the following teaser we have is just a quick look at the watch that counts into the 2039 time. So, yes, this is an announcement that an announcement is coming. Something that would work well if the main announcement itself had not garnered a lot of hype when it dropped blindly. That is not to say that the Metro IP does not need that level of hype; it is just one of those things where a shadow announcement might have hit harder than getting us all ready for one. Now there is pressure for it to give us all what we have been waiting for since the last title. Even if the developer has a solid record with the IP, things are going to build up, and if they do not deliver, there might be a lot of disappointed fans out there. Like when they got the announcement that part of the new story would only be in the VR.

Are you excited to see that we are getting a new Metro title, and would it have hit harder if it were just a surprise on the 16th? Where do you suspect the game is going to go in the IP, and what new features do you want to see back in the mix? Will the game go back to its linear gameplay, or will this be another open world for us to run around in? Let us all speculate until the full announcement hits us this week. We are going to have that full announcement for Metro 2039 on the website, so make sure to come back for that. You can watch all of our social channels to make sure you see when that all goes live, and you can figure out if your assumptions were correct or not.
