Directive 8020
A look at the PS5 Pro features coming to Directive 8020 is here, along with a little more gameplay to enjoy for Directive 8020
We have seen how things might look on the PC when it comes to the high-end hardware options, and now it is time to see how Directive 8020 will look and feel on the PS5 Pro. As long as you are in this all for the visuals of the game and not the rest of what Supermassive Games has tossed together for us. Especially since it looks like the Xbox Series X|S gamers will have just the standard look at Directive 8020. Unless there is some big update coming to the hardware that we are not aware of before May 12th when the game launches. Luckily enough for all of us, no matter where you are playing the game, we have a little more gameplay to look at as this new showcase plays out.
Now that we have all of that out of the way, let us have a look at what will be different on the PS5 Pro version of Directive 8020. Just as we saw with the PC version using NVidia, we are getting some ray tracing in the mix for better lighting and shadows, and the PSSR for some better resolution and frame rates. More or less, all of the same, without any of the weird AI filters altering the character faces in the game. Not that these needed any of that, since they are all using facial scans of the actors, so they already look rather realistic. All of this does make the beings in Directive 8020 look and feel a little "gooier" from the past videos, but if it is as dark as space is, will we truly get to see all of that? You can have a quick look at the video showcase of these new visual features coming to the specific console just below. None of them looks to truly change the experience we are going to have, so that is good for all of us who are still working with the hardware we have.

Do any of these visual changes for Directive 8020 on the PS5 Pro truly matter to you, and will this still all come down to the gameplay? Will this be better than having the weird AI-upscaling the PC options have, or would we have seen that here if the PS5 Pro had the option? When will we all admit that visuals are not what make the gaming experience the best, and demand that we get more fun features in our video games instead? Let us talk it all out in the comment section further down the page here. We are still excited for Directive 8020 to come out, do not get us wrong, so please keep checking the website for all of the other updates we have in the works for it. You can follow all of our social channels to make sure you are notified when we have something new to offer up. That will help us, and help you to stay on top of things.
